- Hi everyone, it's Caroline Henderson here! I'm so excited to share my experience at the 2023 Las Vegas Challenge, which was my first ever pro tour event. In this video, I'll be reacting to some clips from the tournament and sharing my thoughts on what it was like to compete at this level.
I'm incredibly proud to say that I tied for 9th place in the tournament, which is a first in the history of disc golf competitor has finished Top 10 at their first DGPT event . It was an amazing feeling to see my hard work pay off and to achieve such a great result in my debut on the pro tour.
I couldn't have done it without the support of my sponsors, Par4 Disc Golf, Hooligan Discs, and Legit Apparel company. The Las Vegas Challenge was an intense and challenging experience, but it was also incredibly rewarding. The courses were tough, and the competition was fierce, but I felt like I was up for the challenge. I learned a lot from the other players and can't wait to compete with them again.

Excited to see a new face on the FPO this year! I just caught your round at WACO. It looks like you've got all the shots you need. If you just work on your consistency and C1X putting, you could give the top ladies a run for their money.
Also, @10:20 you say that it was a headwind, but you can clearly see your hair blowing toward the basket making it a tailwind. and you still flipped that disc in a tailwind. It must be pretty flippy.
I have to commend you on putting up the bad shots too. In today's age of YT trolls, that's opening yourself up for some nasty comments. Keep up the practice. If I was to suggest one thing, I'd suggest looking into how you place your off-arm in the backhand. It seems like it's cutting off your rotation. I'd say you'd gain a decent bit on the drives if you changed that.
I realize you need to analyze your bad shots so you don't make the same mistakes again, but maybe make it in the format of "top 10 worst shots" followed by "top 10 best shots", so we get to see the really great ones and also get to end on a high note.
Btw, I became a fan when I saw your interview before Waco. Sparkling, charming and honest. 3 of the 4 reasons why all discgolf fanfolks love Simon Lizotte. While I as a european will obviously root for the euroladies, I hope I get to see you on lead and feature cards in the future too. Oh. And practice rounds, if you have the time for it.

Caroline, I just watched the first round at Waco and I want to point out that appearing on camera for the first time is very distracting. I hope you don't put too much importance on your play being so different from LVC. You are just into your third or fourth year of playing and to be competing at the level you are is astounding. Be patient. You definitely have the skills. All you need now is experience. I predict a good year for you in '23. #6922
On the backhands you are a fraction fast opening the lead shoulder and your follow through is is parallel or below parallel which means you are pulling thru across your body and down. There is nothing wrong with those discs. Maybe a couple disc selection errors but more so minor technique flaws. Sign her fast.

My glow envy was super stable new 2 months ago now it holds whatever angle I release it on. Don't like it. It's also un4handable

Please please please! Learn from these shots but also focus on your good shots too. I feel like you're beating yourself up on this video. You will do you and your game better if you realize on what you did wrong but focus more on what you did right. You're talents will be more useful, If your positivity you show in your negatives you show your positivity. Took you 5 holes to notice how good you actually are. :)

Also your throw at 5:10 you just released it too straight in a right-left. IF its a right left you have to release it a few to the right knowing that its going to finish extra hard. trying to hyzer flip in the wind is BRUTALLY hard especially accurate
your already doing something that the top pros dont do. 90% of the top females cant win. they just play to play. Keep doing this and you will WIN.
