This rod and reel will be an exquisite combination to my collection, I can’t wait to try it out!!
One thing to note is that the aird x is made to be budget, not quality. The guides are subpar and very prone to fall out after some use and the reel seat can come a little loose after a while
After putting mine through its paces the reel seat is my only complaint. Overall I love the rod.
I have few questions :)
1.Can you use this tipe of rod for carp fishing if casting distance is not a problem?
2. Im still looking for some beginner carp rod, I don't know for how much money should I buy it for, I have no clue how strong rods are, how much weight it can handle, or can I use it for bigger fish, or maybe smaller fish. I have ugly stick gx2 medium action.
3. How to recognize a good rod. All of the rods have different guidelines written on them, some of them are completely different from the other, including different information and missing another. Like how do I know what is carp rod action, or is it heavy or medium heavy? There is just grams written on it, and it represents rig weight, not the rod strength?
4. I tried to cast some light lures on my gx2, like spinners or float like about 6g, but It doesn't fly very far, just about 10-20 feet. Obviously with heavier bait it fly really far, I can cast pretty long distance with it.
5. I have some 28g crankbait? It has decent hook with a fish face and gummy lines that hiding the hook in between them, looking like hair kind of thing that change color a bit for purple, depending the angle. I'm not sure if I need better rod for this lure/bait. Or is it OK? Edit: it's jig bait :)

I don’t think you need to get a special setup. Just put some heavy braid on a medium heavy (or medium rod) spinning or baitcast and use some small Musky blue fox/Mepps spinners.
I just picked it up two weeks ago but it's a casting rod and I already love to use it for my jerkbaits!

As someone who owns 1 with a 13 fishing inception. And a 2nd with a shimano slx they are absolutely best rod I've fished with under $150.00 now my uncle on the other hand says he hates his and his is also with a slx... so take that for what its worth

They are honestly the best rod for under one hundred I actually have mine paired up with a Sahara reel too
Man I felt ur pain when ur spilled ur box. Also love the vids keep it up. I’m usually not a cocker for the cheaper stuff but the Berkley cherrywood rod is an awesome pond rod for like 25 bucks
you bass guys over do it with your reels all you need is 2500.
I bought an Aird but I copped a quick refund and got a Shimano Clarus instead
