its actually a depressing joke having this issue. even. when fitness girls eat big bowls of oatmeal which all the toppings of penut butter and honey and say its healthy and you will loose weight, but you know thats most definately going to make you look bigger, even eating large bowls of cabbage and you still will never be like normal girls :(

Hope it helps

What no-one ever mentions is that the body tells you what you need. If you get sugar, protein or any other cravings it is your body telling you you need those things. If eating healthy then you should go for natural foods. Never diet. Just listen to your body and choose the healthy option more often than an unhealthy processed quick food/snack that will leave you hungry in a few minutes after consumption.

People with metabolic damage, insulin resistance, and/or autoimmune issues (I have all three, including thyroid) absolutely need to diet. Just eating “natural foods” doesn’t heal your body at a cellular level. Also, it is incorrect that your body will only crave the things you need. For example, if you suffer with candida (yeast overgrowth or imbalance), your body is going to tell you that you need carbohydrates, namely in the form of “quick” sugar. Why? Because that’s what yeast feeds on. It’s their food. Not YOUR food that you’re craving…THEIR food. When you minimize the simple carbs, up the fat (and protein moderately), you’ll begin to starve out the yeast. Sometimes a little herbal intervention is also needed, depending on the case, but the yeast will eventually starve out when their food source is removed. If I didn’t “diet”, I’d be 300 lbs with fibromyalgia inflammation so painful, I wouldn’t be able to walk. I’ve done EVERYTHING, including “just eating natural foods”, and I ABSOLUTELY have to “diet” to keep my body well & functioning. The problem is that people associate the word “diet” with restriction, and the two two are not necessarily synonymous. And again, your cravings are not always a signal for what your body needs. Sometimes the brain wants a dopamine hit and is “telling” you give it that hit, via temporary pleasure, such as food.

Wow Stephanie..I had all the same results on keto. Ended up in Urgent Care because of my kidneys. Since then I've been scared to try it again, even though I got amazing results. I was doing very clean keto (greens, salmon, eggs, blueberries, olive oil) so now I'm just doing a low carb/low fat version of the same type of clean eating. I've added small amounts of oatmeal, hummus & brown rice back into my diet. I've reduced the amount of oil, butter, heavy cream & cheese (high fat foods). I'm just trying to find a balance and this seems to be working. Keto taught me some great low carb principles & hacks that I will never stop using (like almond flour & monkfruit sweetner based desserts). But I will definitely never go back to full throttle keto or allow my body to go into ketosis. Good luck on your health journey sister 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Check if you have Hypothyroidism or Hashimotos, and then go low carb or on the Auto Immune Protocol diet in case of Hashimotos. This used to happen to me a lot... Post a couple of months on AIP my weight first stabilized and then started dropping. Always keep carbs low.

    • @choosejoy93
      @choosejoy93 4 роки тому +2

Just as Meera said, get your thyroid checked!!!! I just found out in October I have hypo-thyroidism and since starting medication and focusing more on fat and protein and a moderate to "low-ish" carb intake I am FINALLY losing weight after being stuck at 140 since around April (I gained close to 10 lbs in 2 months and couldnt shake it. NOT normal!!). A healthy and normal weight for me is probably about 120-125 with the muscle I currently have but I was at 132 earlier this year and began working out but shot up in weight in a way that didn't make sense since I wasn't lifting heavy at all. The thyroid governs EVERYTHING. Please get it checkd and do a full thyroid panel. If everything looks normal, including other tests try pushing for a test run of low dose thyroid hormone anyway because tests can be deceiving. The book Thyroid Power is amazing. The Author's last name is Shames....can't think of his first name though.
Good luck on your journey! I know the frustration but I know you can get through this!

Thank you for this video and being conscious about the dietary needs of those with thyroid issues. Finding the right eating style has been a challenge for me because I have Hashimoto's which, unfortunately, means that I can't approach weight loss in the same way those with a healthy thyroid can. It's just difficult to find resources that address those challenges, which makes weight loss research more frustrating than it already can be. I can see the shred working, you look amazing!
Me, I'm low-moderate. I can't go above 100g a day, and when I reached almost goal those last few pounds would not budge no matter how much I was running and such so I bet I have to go even lower unfortunately.

I agree, one meal plan doesn't fit all, but I am definitely on the right path with KETO and or the South Beach meal plan. I eat carbs and my weight spikes. I am not pre diabetic, no thyroid issues. I am interested in learning more about Paleo.

Love your Channel! Great Info! I am a Pear Shaped Endomorph with High Carb Tolerance. I'm a 53 yr old that started going to the Gym 2 yrs ago and lost 50lbs. I had a great routine and now I've been home since march and have fallen out of a routine and thankfully have not gained weight. Love your workouts you have recently posted :) I'm really struggling loosing fat in my Pear Shape. Looking for the best type of workout/Weightlifting to do to achieve weight loss in those areas.

Very cool video!! I'm an endomorph and am beginning to notice that while I can eat carbs and be okay, certain high carb things make me feel like crap, low energy and heavy. Potatoes are my friends and most vegetables and legumes are great. But the second I start eating oatmeal regularly I feel horrible or gluten free baked things like breads or cookies. Right now my big focus has been on animal foods with low to moderate carb intake and I've felt a lot better and am beginning to notice some slimming down in my mid section with daily exercise as well. It's hard when I love sweets!!! But I've noticed that if I don't have those things around I have better self control and mindfulness around my eating habits.
I also recently learned I have hypothyriodism and have officially cut out gluten (I was already GF before but with occasional cheats) because apparently hypo and gluten dont mix. I have already instinctively come to follow your advice to us folks with thyroid issues...cool!!

Thank you! This makes soooo much sense! I had a smoothie this morning and then I ate a egg salad croissant and I thought I was going to feel full but I still felt hungry 😕. I ended up craving fries and ice cream n cake! VS. yesterday I basically OMAD and had salmon, pesto & tomato rice. I was full! So I was confused why today I still was hungry with eating much more 🤔. I think this makes total sense!!

I am an endomorph cause I gain weight easily and find it hard to lose.. I’m 5’6 and 59kg( I was 54 before quarantine cause I’ve lost the active life I used to be in as a college student) and I don’t have any diseases mentioned in the video. I don’t eat many carbs I stick to buckwheat, brown bread, quinoa and very rarely oats( mainly in baking).
It will be really nice if you can help me and suggest what I can change and which workouts I should focus on

So true! As someome with thyroid issues / Hashimotos initially I did benefit from keto only to a point ... I found that increasing my carbs so I wasnt quite keto but still on low to moderate end I felt Way better and my thyroid levels benefited versus when I was super super low they got worse. I lost weight initially on keto but stalled for a while feeling more sluggish. Once I increased the carbs, paleo style, as she even suggested, felt better, had better workouts and even started losing again even though I was eating more. Hope this helps

Thank you so much. From one video I have learned that Keto may be the plan for me. I struggle with pcos as a teen and since my diagnosis after certain symptoms had arising my weight loss journey took a really bad turn. I thought this had been due to my allowing eating socially to be an excuse to loose discipline. While I take responsibility for taking certain liberties with my healtg, I see that I can say its not all my fault. My body has a unique language I have been misunderstanding for a while and the pieces are coming together. Thank you for your suggestions leasing up to positive clarity for me.

When it comes to carbs, I tend to go for the wholewheat/complex carbs due to when I have refined carbs, I do feel very tired, unmotivated and cranky.
However, when I have complex carbs, I don’t feel so tired and lethargic (granted I do have some tiredness but more times than not, that usually fades away) and I have way more energy than I do with refined carbs.

Well, I do have noticed that, if I eat carbs, meaning most of my meal is carbs like pasta and potatoes, I do tend to eat 2 big servings to feel full. After that I do get really tired and feel super stuffed (no wonder, I had 2 big servings), but I feel hungry again only a short time after. Like 2 hours after and I'm craving another serving or usually, sweets.
But I do feel satisfied with a small serving of rice. Like 50 gramm/ 0,11 lbs, if there are other ingrediants involved. Like eggs, meat and filling veggies.
I'm also pear shaped, but have a big soft belly that hangs low.

The information in this video would've been very helpful 2 days ago, before I splurged on a keto shred 😲
Just out of curiosity though, if I were to do keto while taking thyroid meds, what's the worst that could happen? Are we talking some serious, life-threatening consequences or nothing too major would occur for the duration of the 6week shred? I would ask a doctor, except I keep meeting those that don't seem to care about educating their patients or giving them any information whatsoever
