Admittedly I came for blood in the water, but it is refreshing to hear Jon's take on all of this. It is a very mature way of approaching it without stirring sh-- up. I have more respect for this guy every time I hear him talk. Not just as a wrestler but I'm 10 years sober myself so I know the struggle and am so happy to hear he is living his best life. It doesn't matter where they wrestle. If they are happy and valued that is all that matters.
Have you read his book? He could drag so many people, but his criticisms are fair and honest. Also, there's inexplicably a chapter on how to assemble a sandwich.

The guy who doesn't want a podcast, is absolutely the guy who should have one. I love listening to Mox talk. It's unfiltered honesty. It makes so much sense why him and Eddie Kingston get along so well. Two of the absolute best people.
He can't speak clearly or intelligently. This guy stinks. He's a complete carnie. The fact that Tony Khan put the belt on this guy shows how bad he is at managing his company.
Jon probably has a lot of controversial opinions so it's probably a good idea he doesn't have a regular podcast otherwise he'd get CANCEEELLLEEEDDDD 😂😂😂

It's so rare to hear Jon speak so openly, and it sucks that the first 5 minutes are the focal point for many... The rest of the episode was incredible and Jon seems like such a down-to-earth dude who just loves what he loves and wants to do things outside the status-quo. Loved it!
I use to train with Jon at HWA back in 2004. I was 27 and he was like 19. I struggled with alcohol pretty bad. I lasted about 3 or 4 months it was me and him every practice we would stay an hour later. I started drinking again and soon found my way to the casino rather than showing up to practice. Sure wish I had that to do over again but it's been a pleasure watching him succeed from a far.

@@deanryo7734 He was down to earth and cool. Respectful. Quiet. I didn't hang with him outside of wrestling practice other than when we would drive around putting up fliers for an event.
Jon was on his shit this episode I LOVE IT, Renee is so much needed in Wrestling Culture, she has great energy and also well respected by all brands.
Mox is such a different person in this interview compared to his earlier appearances. He's so much more grounded and lucid. It's awesome to see.

More lucid, but honestly he talks like a dumb person. When someone is saying fuck every other word, it's a big sign the person is stupid.

😂 Educational. Moxley can't wrestle and has a giant ego. Tony Khan has no control in his own company and just signs cheques for these guys just to keep them on his weak show. Renee who just happens to be Moxleys wife and has a job with the company SOMEHOW just nodding and agreeing to these obviously staged questions was so hilarious. Cornette literally exposes these guys I side and out everyweek.

Love Mox. Two times I met him he was such a genuine dude.
I love these two together, seem like such real people. The cat story and Jon describing the whole process was great.
If AEW gets old enough to get a Hall of Fame one day, Mox HAS to be the first inductee. He has been there when Tony and the fans have needed him the most. Solidified himself as one of the best wrestlers of all time. Very glad that it’s worked out for him and that he loves wrestling again.

I say Cody has to be the very first inductee in a future AEW Hall of Fame. Cody, The Elite, Jericho, Brandi and Mox. However, I don't think AEW should have a Hall of Fame, they should do something different like putting up a statues of them and a banner in Daily's place like they do in Sports.

He has a very special way of connecting with the crowd and his promos are next level. He gets a good to great match out of everybody he works with. My favorite example is the Evil Uno match. Uno had not been featured in TV in a prominent role for a very long time. The people were going nuts for him during that match.
@@rod_2109 I agree that Mox is a star, 100%, can cut one hell of a promo too, however as a an actual wrestler in terms of moves and actual wrestling, some of the worst I've seen, he is talentless in the ring, I say that because how hard can it be to grab a baseball bat covered in barbwire and fake hit someone with it?

Say what you will about Mox, but he is no slouch when it comes to his knowledge. He’s been wrestling for like almost 15 years?
Jon's been my favorite for the last 4 years, his style his look everything about him I love. His work since last year has really helped me through my break up. I'm thankful and appreciate that I'm able to watch him perform.
Mox was always my favourite in the Shield. Glad he’s doing better and getting the respect he deserves for his efforts.

Edit: That's why I love this episode of the podcast because Mox is being Mox and talking about how much he loves professional wrestling. Although sadly many people will remember this podcast episode about "Mox burying AEW and CM Punk" BS, mostly that conversation is over 10%-15% of the podcast.
Which would be funny because he didn't even "bury" AEW, he only said that it's incredible that there's so much "drama" going on. But other than that silly shit, he loves his time in AEW because he can do whatever he wants. And that's where Mox is at his best.

Thanks for the show. It was cool to get that perspective from Jon. Cincy will also be a great place to raise the young one. Loved taking my kids to a lot of the different cultural centers around here.

Just finished watching. It was so great to hear what his thought process is when creating masterpieces in the ring. I love that his answer to bleeding in matches was that is the price of glory. I love hearing how passionate he is about wrestling. Another must watch. Great conversation. I loved it.

So Punk wants us to believe Mox is selfish and don't wanna let the title go, the same Mox that let Hangman make him tap, and he never did in all of AEW history.
I like to think it happened as sort of an "apology package" after Hang got concussed during their match (although it really wasn't Mox's fault), but it might also be completely unprompted.
Who knows? I doubt we'll ever find out, non-kayfabe stuff is not easily discussed, especially after such short time.
I mean no. Punk said Mox refused to lose to him in he match before the ppv. He wanted to do a rocky think were he comes back stronger. Don't start creating fake stories.

The fact that he laughed at this idea, which was improvised on the fly (although, more often than not it's the standard in the business), definitely isn't intended to put Mox under a positive light: therefore he has a problem with how he didn't wanna lose the title before the PPV, idk what more you want than "i've never experienced someone refusing to lose to me", it's just said in a passive-aggressive manner, man.
And, if by any chance that's not what happened in that office that day, then Punk is definitely the least capable person to explain himself in a clear and orderly manner.

I love Mox's idea of forming partnerships with indie companies to get the young guys and girls some reps. It would be great for everyone involved. It would allow them to get reps, while also giving these indie companies some mainstream stars to help draw fans to their shows and grow their companies. It would be good for the business as a whole. I really like that idea.

As a longtime Punk fan, I have to say, I'm glad Mox came out and said this. I'm really sick of the petty jabs that keep bringing Punk's name back into the spotlight... it's simple. If you feel like everyone in AEW is a liar or is not trustworthy, then sit your ass at home and wait out your contract.

Jon reminds me of Jake the snake with the way he talks he pulls you in with every word I don't know if it's on purpose but it makes me want to see more of him. I will see him live one day.
I have been a fan of this guy from the beginning, and I absolutely love to hear him express his thoughts and opinions on life, professional wrestling, or whatever else crosses his mind. If anything could make him more like-able, I honestly feel it was when Renee became a part of his life. They are simply the best-separately, but especially together.
I do get a bit cringy with his language, but I guess his being comfortable with it is one if the things that makes him who he is. I wish them only the best in all things personally and professionally.

When I listen Jon talk here, he seems chill and laid back. I like him more when he isn't yelling and bleeding on tv every week.
I'm generally not a huge fan of Mox's style, but interviews like he did after All Out and this interview with his wife give me a new found respect for him.

@@BigmanDogs he was actually. He and Roman called a match with Cole and King back during the origami Shield face run in ‘14. He was hilarious, but also was good at hitting the marks like telling the audience to stick with us when they cut to a commercial and such.
This has just solidified that Jon Moxley is the GOAT of AEW 💪
I always look forward to Jon's interviews here. There's just something about how his mind works and how he explains things that keeps my attention.
