Immigration is supposed to be selective where we accept people we believe will benefit our nation.
Name me a country that would take US citizens with no income and money?
now, we select based on how much WE benefit THEM!
They’re benefiting some in our nation just not our nation as a whole
@@sojourner239 Buying votes?
Common sense? DAS WACIST!!!
He is not Cuban American. He is American of Cuban descent.
A distinction without a difference.
@trhansen3244 there's a big difference! Not knowing that tells me alot about you
I'm a retired U.S. Customs/CBP officer. How many illegals have entered through the southern border since Jan 2022? 2 different CBP officers at the Nogales Port of Entry (POE) told me that 100 illegals have been processed daily since Jan 2022 (when Covid restraints were lifted). 25 each on the morning and afternoon shifts, and 50 on the overnight shifts (CBP has 3 shifts per day).
No vetting, just wave them through with an asylum hearing date given to them. THAT date makes them legal. That works out to 36,500 illegals a year just through Nogales (100 * 365). Did you know that there are 330 POE along the USA/Mexico border? If 100 illegals per day is being done at all POE (and CBP usually implements national policy at all POEs), then works out to 12 million a year (36,500 * 330) in 2022, 2023, and continuing through 2024. That will make 36 million illegals waved through an open door in just 3 years.
I notice how the Miami Mayor mentions 7 million illegals. I wonder where he got that number. Has ANYONE ever heard the Federal government ever publicize that number? The answer is no, because the actual number is so great that Americans would rise up in anger if they knew the real number. Think of it this way. In just 3 years, Traitor Joe will have increased the U.S. population by 10%. Good thing the economy is doing so great that we can afford to do this.😡
The economy is doing so great ? Do you even go to buy groceries? Everytime you go to the market you spend two hundred dollars for what months before you used to spend about sixty dollars! This is the state of the "economy!" IF you think that is great, you either have more money than a regular citizen, or you are blind!
Americans wouldn't rise up in anger. We've been passified.
Sarcasm sometimes doesn’t come across when using the written word. That’s why I used the angry emoji.
@@dolozambra2242 He was being sarcastic....see the angry face emoji?
I saw where the Gov't actually gave an actual number and that was 48k, but there weren't many that were able to see that, being that they hid in fine print or the word salad.
He's not a Cuban, he's an American.
This segment showed you tgat Rubin is an establishment hack.
True, in the context of the conversation they are talking Cuban Origin, like Mafiosi are Italians.
He recognised himself as a Cuban
he's of Cuban ancestry
@@u.y.3643 I can see that bothers you. Well, your great president George Washington was also of Cuban ancestry.
When are people going to stop acting surprised that this is happening and do something about it.
When the people start enforcing immigration law, with force.
@@planbenterprise you mean normal people? Vigilantes?
open for suggestion on what to do . as legally there is not much. Joe gets away with what ever he wants.
I looked into migrating to the US as an Australian. I'm an engineer, English first language, a bunch of skills, I know US history and culture pretty well already as my stepfather is American (lived with family over there briefly as a kid). Basically: Not going to happen, they don't really want people like me coming over, I'd have to already have a job with an American company.
And yet, some MS-13 member can barge their way across the Rio Grande illegally and be welcomed with fanfare and open arms 🙄
pisses me off.

Why should you have to learn Spanish? When my grandparents came to this country, they kissed the ground first and stated they would learn English and would speak nothing but in their home. At the rate we're going, we will have press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. Is that what we want?
We're already at that point in California and we waste millions and millions of dollars to provide all kinds of services to all these groups who no longer have to assimilate in any way
@@docsavage8640 Well, you have a governor that is an IDIOT just like our president. Apples don't fall far from their trees.
You don't have to but you'll be worse off without. Much like the rest of the world w English
Soon, the health department would require you to get a translation implant when you turned 6-7 yo, mandatory to attend public school.
I don't think Dave feels he has to learn Spanish here in S Fla, but rather that he wants to become more fluent. (I agree that immigrants should learn English.)
One of my daughter’s friends recently married an English man. I asked her if her friend was going to remain in England or move back to the US. She said that her friend was not allowed to stay in England once her student visa expired unless she could prove that she was able to support herself and her two children. She said that it was much easier for her husband to immigrate legally to the USA than for her to remain in England.
Which is bizarre, because at the same time the UK is letting in many thousands and supporting them
The unique aspect of the 1990s Cuban migration wasn’t their escape from communism. It was their high degree of similarity to the European immigrants of a century ago. Suarez is one of America’s best mayors.
This is a power move on the Democratic side to reconstitute what happened in California I worked as an Undercover Agent for NSA but at the time ex governor of Nevada who sold copies of citizenship papers for 30 years
Pelosi was one of his best customers 20 thousand forged documents a year .she would use Bill Dahl who was an employee of EE of California.his task to get them jobs .once hired using forged documents and 1/2 their wages paid to Nancy Pelosi
Your post proves what we all know. Criminals are in charge.
What BS
Pelosi needs to be in jail!
Hearing this gentleman speak is a breath of fresh air. Quite the opposite of suffering through what Hochul might and does say.
Republicans need to make sure this Miami mayor speaks to immigration more often - he articulates our position brilliantly.
You mean xenophobia!
Wow, so much sense. So rare in the current government.
It's the " illegal " part everyone has a problem with. Absolutely no one has a problem with Legal. There is a difference.😊
Fantastic interview. With a Mayor like him it's no wonder Miami is a shining light !!
He’s right. Hispanics lean conservative. Faith, family, and hard work are core values taught among most Hispanic families. Another thing most non-Hispanics don’t know is that most Hispanic Americans can’t stand illegal immigration. We’re not pro illegal immigration in the slightest.
then why do they vote overwhelmingly Democrat?
Not family - look at the number of children born to unwed mothers. Look at the femicide rate. Both are high which means they don’t practice what they preach vis-a-vis family .
@@josealexi5141 Because they like the hand outs... and I have worked with lots of Spanish and not to many were nearly as trusting as he claims
@@russoley8995 thank you!
Wow, it’s nice to see there are still mayors like this. Must help to have a solid Governor. California mayors even the better ones always seem to give up a little to the state so it feels like hope is fading.
I haven’t heard much about the latest recall Newsom attempt.
Supposedly I have a republican mayor but the rest of the city council is democrat. Including one who is under investigation for fraud. The homeless population has increased, crime is going up, trash is everywhere. Republicans in California are useless. Carl DeMaio is fighting for us all by himself. What a shame.
Living in liberal Tallahassee where every downtown street corner smells like weed I may have to look at moving to Miami…never ever thought I would say that.
Why is it so liberal? Because it's a college town? Is the same true of Gainesville?
Same in NYC. It's disgusting.
I wish everyone moving to Florida would move to Miami or Orlando! This mass migration of citizens to Florida is a story bigger than what's be8ng exposed currently. There is always more to the story!
@@KP99 the majority of the town votes Dem year in\out. Our local paper is named “The Tallahassee Democrat” and our largest employers are State Govt agencies. We are very soft on crime…we even had a perfect location selected for our new City Police Dept Headquarters, it’s was going to be located in the highest crime neighborhood however, our commissioners didn’t like the “optics” so they moved it miles away with a much higher price tag!
As for Gainesville it’s about 2hr away and unless you are doing something at UF there is zero reason to go…long winded way of saying I don’t know!
Is weed legal there?
It just went legal in ohio.
This sucks. Ohio will prob go blue now. If they pass weed, they will vote for biden
He's a very smart man, so great to listen to him. I have zero problem with legal immigration.
UN immigration organizations are working to create equity around the world, a level amount of suffering world wide.
I wish people could stay home and fix problems locally. I'm sure they would rather. I have my own things. Meanwhile my dem son whon casn't support himself wants me to chill out.
I hope Mayor Suarez runs for higher office; he seems to get the concerns of ordinary Americans very well.
This country has been doomed by the ones who were supposed to protect and defend.
I wish I could like this video twice.
I wish what he said was true. That people fleeing states with policies they don't like don't vote for the same policies when they move to their new location. That may be true with Cubans, but Californians keep voting for the same politicians and policies that made them flee California in the first place.
You assume there is no voter fraud.
Great mayor! Mental Health... have to deal with the Root Cause. The PERSON.... not the (choose your favorite) instrument to act out with.
❤....What a great interview...l live in Port st Lucie FL.....what a great mayor....❤
FJB!!😡
"People don't flee to institute the policy that they fled." Ask anyone in Oregon or Washington state whether that has proved true regarding those who have fled California.
Excellent interview! Thank you!
Everything's corrupt
Big problem started with CLITON HE RECEIVED MONEY FROM CHINA! Our politicians are getting money from foreign countries!
I want people coming into my country who: respects our laws (including immigration law like my ancestors were subject to), respects our constitution, who won't game the system (something maybe legal but it sure isn't ethical to do), who contribute to society and not take from our society to send back to their country of origin, who wants to assimilate not force us to change to suit them, who isn't a criminal back in their country, who isn't bring diseases with them, whose men immediately sign up for our military and put their lives on the line for the U.S. of A. like my son did. Someone who can manage a hedge fund worth millions doesn't impress me, we have plenty of those kind here already and the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.
South Fla was lost when had mass Cuban Invasion and so mamy dumped at once. There is no assimilated to America. When the funnel here overflows with invaders they pool up in groups and become communities loke they so desperately wanted to leave. Not mixing, staying in racial group, not learn language, not being an American, being a Cuban who now lives in in Fla-cuba.
💯💯!!!
Crockett and Tubbs cleaned up the drug trade in Miami.
All I'm hearing here is more social programs. Bigger government. More social programs. More taxes. Bigger government. Ect
Francis Suarez for President!
I love to see the turnaround Miami has made. It gives me hope that other major cities, and the US can make a turn for the better as well.
Can this guy be a future presidential candidate?
at about 09:00, he is tapping on the wood. here in Austria, older people used to do it. in the Middle East and Asia also people do this. It shows how simple and real this guy is.
'Adversity class', i was looking for that description.
The NYSE should leave the rotten apple for Miami 😝
Wow He's awesome
Mayor Suarez looks like the best person to succeed Ron DeSantis as Governor as far as I can see!
Great interview
We would be better off by bringing in Cuba as our 51st state than all the monies we've been throwing away to the rest of the world's special needs. More folks that have immigrated to this country are more patriotic than a fifth of the population that were born here. This man gives a great account of his love for this country as he so states .
Very common sense perspectives it seems. He should run for a higher office
LAND MINES would serve our needs better.
Same in every western country
I want to differ from Mayor Suarez: A well armed community is a polite community.
don’t know how it was accomplished but Miami solved its columbian gang problem back in the 80s
Since when do we pay for immigration? What do other countries do with mass immigrants?
For those who say the US is not one of the best (if not the best) countries today, why do so many people spend thousands to get here ILLEGALLY?!?
I love his miami crossfit initiative!
Mayor Suarez' comment caught me when he said they recently went 6 weeks without a homicide. The Shreveport-Bossier City area we live several miles outside of is similar in overall population size as Miami. It's fairly common now for a few people to be shot to death each week.
I am not a Republican or Democrat, I am a traditionalist/ conservative American and have always been a person who wants what is best for America.
The best mayor in the world.
This guy is nuts! Why can't his guy become a citizen?? There must be a reason. Our immigration policy is just fine.
The FOOD!
So I thing we have a good idea on who our next governor should be, yes?
One of the talking points around the Immigration issue is our stealing the brain power from the 3rd world and keeping them in darkness, I know that an oversimplification of the idea still it needs to be part of the debate
This guy voted for Gilliam in 2018 and also was criticizing desantis over covid response saying he wasn’t allowed to put in restrictions because of the governor yea he’s great
Sharp Guy ! 🤔
The great replacement isnt a conspiracy theory.
Mayor Suarez should be on Pres Trumps short list for VP
He said… his friend (whatever) has a green card and can’t get citizenship? I have asked a green card holder and their response was time, pass the test, pay the fee….HELLO AMERICA…
Line en on and..
higher office coming his way
Same retoirical points. Different guy.
These intros are killing me. 1:30 of every video is repeated.
Agreed is to have a immigration which:
Point 1: It has to benefit the need of a country and
Point 2: People which enter have to make a choice - accepting democracy, equality of men and women and the freedom of speech, becoming a valid citizen (not acting in criminal ways) - or return back to where they have coming from
The problem which the US voters have that one of the candidates pushes this point (term: southern border), but didn´t solve it at the time he had the chance (presidency, Senate AND House in Republican hand) that shows he is not really interested in it and just blindsiding people and the worst he is clearly violating Point 2.
Never answered the main question.
Right off the bat, that someone who has a green card (I-551) cannot become a citizen is false. Any green card holder, known as Legally Admitted Permanent Resident (LAPR) can apply for U.S. citizenship after maintaining status for 5 years as a LAPR.
Immigration problem? You have to draw the line somewhere, and that line has been drawn in our laws. We as a country, right now, allow more legal immigrants in each year, than all the rest of the countries on earth combined. The problem is, all of the special groups want their "pet" immigrants in regardless of the limitation of our laws. Laws that have been passed by Congress, signed by the executive and upheld by our courts, and laws that Congress is not willing, able or interested in revisiting.
You are never going to be able to keep all of these special interest groups happy so you will never solve the problem. If everyone got their way we would be flooded immediately. There is no problem with our system, the problem is with people who want what they want.
Take it for what it's worth, coming from a 23 year veteran agent/manager of the U.S. Border Patrol, INS, Justice Department and DHS.
How is what Obama did in 2011-12 when he severally limited immigration of Christian countries (PH was one), and made Muslim countries immigration nearly wife open?
Abolish dual citizenships
Why should a rich guy who has a slick job have anything over any other law-abiding person? That's bullsh*t, but we all know that money talks.

Dave, you need to get better people to manage your social media posts. These titles are awful! I understand trying to be funny, but enough already. It is really a turn-off.
This mayor is annoying and sounds elementary. No solutions to anything.
Dude, stop being a simp. You don't need to work on Spanish. They need to work on English. Borders. Language. Culture.
All here to vote for Joe!
Let's go deep state deep. Many modern countries (e.g., Japan, Korea, US) are facing a crisis of depopulation as birth rates decline and the younger generations are getting married less. China is in the same boat due to their one-child policy. So for the first time ever, we're seeing Korea and Japan open up to more immigration. They have to, in order to have the population in place to preserve the infrastructure they've already built. The US may be doing the same thing. I'm 100% against illegal immigration. But this hypothesis goes deeper than the usual "dems importing voters" (true) and "corporations importing cheap labor" (also true.)
I enoyed it but He punted on gun rights hmmmm
why have half the show as a preview?
Dave has always chopped up his Sunday interviews into smaller clips airing before airing it as a whole( or at least since 2019, when I first started listening)

Who cares whether he runs $1 billion hedge fund company he hast to wait his turn to become a citizen of this great country. We call America well maybe in Trump America
Actually what you are discussing has a very meaningful solution. As the USA was primarily created by europeans of multiple ethnicities, wouldn't be logical to endorse and promote european immigration from certain countries and under specific conditions rather than receiving millions of illegal immigrants from elsewhere? Most probably if EU citizens were allowed to move permantntly in the USA, trust me, be there would be much less than all other nationalities that would want to move to the USA. Moreover, EU citizens are mostly highly educated, with a western mindset and can actually help a lot in improving the situation in the USA overall. I strongly believe though that both citizens of EU and the USA should be able to move and live in the USA and the EU respectively, with no or few restrictions whatsoever. Both EU and the USA could benefit from that.
