Refurbish Tiny Driveway: Concrete Into Stone

  • In this video, I transform old, busted up concrete into a nicely manicured crushed limestone driveway. This customer needed this concrete removed fast because of recent renovations to the garage. The water flows towards their garage, and they just recently updated it to be living space. They want to avoid any water going into the garage. So, I am removing the concrete with my Toro breaker hammer, then I will do some leveling with a land plane(so satisfying!) and finally will spread the crushed limestone to complete the project.
    Thanks for watching!

    Best YT channel showing all the versatility of a mini-skid steer and the various attachments. Of course, John is an expert operator as well. Your entire setup is designed around efficiency and functionality. Great work John!

    lol. You answered my question”yikes” You certainly got your moneys worth out of the hammer. Well explained. Another great video, thanks. I can’t believe you didn’t wear a mask cutting that concrete. That’s harsh stuff.

    Wise advice from your father. And it shows in your work Mr. John.
    Your narration was excellent. And all the while you kept the sounds of the equipment playing in the background. This made this video so enjoyable.

    Ditto on the land plane, I have one I bought on marketplace last spring for $300 for my skid loader.. Its made just like yours only it’s 7 feet wide .It’s my cheapest attachment and probably the thing I use the 2 nd most, grapple is 1st

      Yes those are nice. I had one once but it broke and never replaced it. But it does make difference on topsoil and the #11 stone!

    Use an old ATV tire on its side and hammer in it. Prevents a lot of the flying debris especially around sliding glass doors.

    Is the price difference between concrete and stone that much that the client didn't want to redo it with concrete?

    • @SchottServices
      @SchottServices  19 годин тому

      They wanted stone more for its drainage capabilities. But I think they just liked the idea of crushed stone better. Stone is all I do, so I'm guessing they looked at the cost of concrete as well

    No dust mask??? Silica dust from concrete cutting can do serious damage to your lungs bud!!

      Thanks for looking out for my safety! I wasn't wearing a mask for that short time period, but I will be sure to do so in future videos.
