    Awesome transformation and UR a saint for not telling the homeowner that fence portion against the house had to be temp removed.

      It's all about customer satisfaction! I took a vinyl privacy fence down once to get in a backyard and it was the biggest pain trying to put it back once the job was done. I spent more time doing that than the actual job!

    Great job as always John! My only concern if that were my job would be the foundation settling as that pool was so close to the corner of the house. The stuff people do to their properties never ceases to amaze! That job was a total makeover of one hell of a disaster of a yard!

    I must say that was a really well done demo and landscape job. That was such a shocking amount of concrete that came out of that place and the deck came apart pretty easy. That was really satisfying to watch. Excellent job 👍👍

      Believe it or not, I did have a customer do that once. He told me he was going to watch all day. I didn't believe him but he sat out there all day to see his backyard get transformed. I think he made me smile more than I made him smile. It was quite the day!

    Excellent operator and impressive to watch such efficient use of such a small machine.
    Although when demolishing a concrete pool, the bottom of the pool needs holes punched in it to drain water

      @ A cracked base would serve the same purpose possibly better. Should have figured that out considering the bad condition of that pool, this was obviously not your first rodeo and your experience speaks to that. .

    Open up the fence entrance panels, the time you would save it more than worth the cost of replacing 2 fence posts

      Definitely a great observation, I appreciate the feedback! I would have on a wood fence. This is vinyl, and they can be extremely difficult to take apart/put back together. Also, I try to show viewers in my videos how using a mini skid steer can benefit getting into backyards/tight spaces. It was a 50" gate, so it didn't slow me down that much because my trailer was right on the other side.

    Why the straw?

      It holds the moisture in the soil to keep seed moist, assuming it gets enough water. Also, helps soil from running off from a heavy rain.

    I did not dee any compaction between lifts of the fill dirt, after the pool was removed.

    You got to watch grading cause can't run water on the next door neighbors property just be careful did a few myself

      I have no idea! The homeowner didn't know either. I think 3 people had owned the house since it was installed.

    Why not toss all that debris in the pool then fill it all in with fill dirt?

      All concrete debris has to be hauled away from pool demolitions in Indianapolis. Also, because the grade was sloped it would be difficult to bury all of that concrete and still be able to grow grass there. Good question! Thanks for watching!

    THEN all that concrete gets busted up,and goes in the pool hole FIRST….saves time and money hauling away.

      It had to be removed because of the slope of the yard. I would not have been able to bury it deep enough. Also, in some parts of our city, they require everything to be removed. Good observation, though!

    Man that pool could have been powerwashed and cleaned out, patched up and reused just adding a pump to it. One of this Salt Water Filter ones. I forgot. Oh well.

    I hauled to a guy going to build a garage and the backyard was like a valley he poured concrete and it rained and everyone up hill from him had a pond in there back yard so he had to remove concrete and put a culvert in middle of the slab than he could build his garage so his neighbors had to do the same put in a culvert before pouring concrete after inspection you learn all kinds of stuff from people mistakes just saying

      I appreciate these comments! Yes, you definitely have to be careful when grading. Thankfully, on this job, the neighbor was just as glad as the homeowner to have this fixed. Also, both yards sloped towards fence which allowed any runoff to go towards backyards!

    I know we’re all armchair warriors, but it would only have cost a couple of bucks to lift that fence post, remove the panel and replace when finish, I’d say lifting that bucket each time drove you mad!

      I tried removing a panel and it was going to be a hassle. I was eager to get going on the job and that's the nice thing about mini skids! It'll fit thru the gate!

    I was hired to haul dirt to fill in a pool and I hauled ten loads of clay dirt and six loads of black dirt and was paid about two months after that the neighbor ordered a land oad of black dirt and the pool owner came over and said he might need more dirt and asked for a price i told him he said you hauled the dirt to fill in my pool and said yes he told me he paid so much for black dirt said the whole thing was black dirt told him it was not said ten loads of fill dirt and six loads of black dirt he wasn't happy at all so took the guy to court and got money refund for whole job he even ordered a load of black dirt and paid and gave me a two hundred dollars tip not bad

      Customer wanted it out because they planned on planting trees in that area down the road and didn't want to worry about running into concrete.
