Leigheaux X well I have some good news for you - that’s perfectly normal! When you reach a high enough friendship level with any villager, they’ll consider moving out. I actually tested this - I ignored certain villagers and talked to others daily and gave them gifts. Almost every single one of the villagers who I talked to at some point asked to move out

i'd be down for something like 'book about a far away island!' that you buy from the nook shop for ... let's say 20k miles, and then you give it to a villager, the next day they have the thought bubble that says they want to move, and then it's the standard leaving procedure, while still giving you a day to change your mind before agreeing to send them off. significant gameplay investment for the player to get that many miles and it's not something you can do on a whim, which seems pretty up nintendo's street for AC.

Try changing the hours. If it's the same one at 4pm go to 6pm and it'll be different. Works for me. Okay with the hours. Unusually do 2 hour increments

Lmao I was just doing it for two or three hours and I followed the video exact (I'm pretty sure) but I can't get anyone to think abt moving out. Peggy, the one I want to get rid of just wants to keep giving me reactions. 😬
Make sure you pay attention to the day you start. I usually start fresh by resetting the clock to the first of the month. Then skips day, check around, skip again. Then 15 days. If nothing still skip 1 more day...if nothing try one more skip making it a total of 19 days and 5 times in a row. I have a mover. Lots of weeds tho...also!! If it's someone you so t want moving...go back to the 1st...open game save and quite then go back to that day you saw the mover.. try changing the clock to a different hour too.
tl;dw
Step 1: skip forward a day and look for thought bubble above a villager’s head (and make sure it’s a time of day where you know the villager you want to leave is outside). ****It’s important to not speak to anyone while you’re doing this.****
Step 2: if no thought bubble appears, skip forward a day again, save the game, reopen and look for the same thing
Step 3: if there’s no thought bubble yet, skip forward 15 days from your day 1, save, reopen and find any villager with a thought bubble
Step 4: keep skipping a day forward from this point until you find someone with a thought bubble (**make sure you remember the specific date when you do!**) but DONT speak to them if it’s a villager you want to keep. If it’s one you want to kick out then go ahead and speak to them and they should want to leave
Step 5 (if the thought bubble wasn’t on the correct villager): change the date back to your day 1 starting point, save, reopen the game, and move the date forward to the day the villager had a thought bubble above their head, save, reopen and look for a thought bubble
Step 6: keep repeating step 5 until the villager you want to kick out has the thought bubble above their head, and talk to them - hopefully saying they want to leave
I did the method just now and it worked exactly as instructed, so I hope this helps for anyone else if you don’t want to watch the video.
***EDIT: questions in this thread seem to be repeating so I implore anyone else who has one to read through the previous replies and answers first because I may have already answered it from someone else!
Dylan Huang if they’re not the villager you want to kick, you change the date back to day 1 then save the game and reopen the game, then change the date forward to the date a villager had the thought bubble and save and reopen the game again. I don’t think I ever closed the game fully so I can’t verify what happens if you do
thanks for this summary! quick question, one you kick the villager out can you go back to the original starting date and then hop mystery islands to look for a villager you want? or does it mean that you have to keep playing from the date that you kick the villager out and mystery island tour from then?

Sarah Trajcevska you can go back to the starting date and they’ll still say they want to move out (I did this), but you need the plot of land to be empty to find villagers on mystery islands again, which you can do by time skipping or waiting it out over the next two days for that villager you want to kick to fully leave your island
pandalove I think you can just go back the one day before and then skip forward the next day again to cycle the thought bubble between villagers. I only got results for the 15 days skip though bc that’s when I got the thought bubble to show up so I can’t really verify that, but I assume it should still work the same

I know you cant repeat days and I'd really like to stay in real time but also not have to ignore a villager for 15 days just to get them to leave. If you go forward can you go back once a villager has decided to leave?

You don't need to go back 15 days when you see a villager you don't want to move with the thought bubble. You can ignore them and just skip ONE day forward and the bubble will move to someone else. Just had this happen to me.
If someone isn’t having a bubble, do I save and end or just end it? Should I save or not? ;)
@@Yeah-nc4py Like you are going through you whole island one day and see no bubbles? I think just time traveling day by day till you do see one is the way like how he was doing in the video. Saving or not i don't think matters as long as you are just moving forward time the thought bubble finally appear (they will every 15 days).

I managed to kick out one of my villagers after weeks of trying HOWEVER something you all need to know is when they leave, the empty plot of land can be taken over by a random villager if left alone. In other words, once you manage to kick a villager out, you need to spam Mystery Tours to get your ideal villager the same day a land plot is open.

Came here to tell the community that if its not the villager you want to leave, you can close the game WITHOUT SAVING, change the time ~30 minutes, and it will usually be a different villager.
EDIT: At the time I posted this, this was the method I was using. Soon after, I had gotten all 10 of my wishlist villagers so I only did it a few more times. If this has indeed stopped working, going 15 days instead of ~30 minutes should work.

@@moneykenny119 what I did today was, once I had a villager wanting to move out, saved, skipped one day so that they were in boxes, saved, skipped one day so that they were gone and I had the empty plot, moved in a new villager, saved, skipped a day so that I had the new villager, saved, skipped a day just to be sure that the new villager was "fully" moved in (as the first day they won't get out of their house and you can't interact much with them), saved, skipped back to original date and the new villager was there. If you want to be 100% sure do this. The empty plot stays empty for one day only, then it'll get filled in automatically by a random villager, so move a new villager in the day you have it otherwise it'll be sold randomly the next day.
I tried to get a villager to move out by swatting them with a net and the pitfall trick. They got depressed and asked why such a good friend would do this to him, then I felt guilty 😂

I have had Moose on my island since the beginning, and the moment I saw that dandy mouse I knew we were mortal enemies. However, I didn’t know about friendship stuff then so I just went about my island as normal and somehow ended up getting him to Tier 3 friendship without wanting to. I’ve been trying to lower my friendship for so long to get him to leave and I found this and bookmarked it for the day I knew I could commit to get this done. It took me all of twenty minutes and a few tries to get that little sideburn-having fucker to want to leave. I’m so happy. Thank you. You’ve saved my island from the dandy mouse plague.

easiest way I've found is to TT to the 1st of any random month, save and close software, then TT to the 15th and there will be a thought bubble. If it's not the villager you want gone, go back to the 1st, repeat process until the bubble is over the villager you do want gone.
Pretty much the same thing. But going to the 1st has no real effect.
If its not the villager you want and you need to go back do you save and exit or close the game as is and tt back ?

i've been trying this method (as well as this vid's method and others), but i'm on day 23 and still no bubble from anyone, let alone the villager i want to leave~ i wonder if i'm doing something wrong or my luck is just terrible 😅💔
@@thelazybear9939 Save and close the game to go back or forward. However, there's really no point going back as nothing changes in-game. It'll still treat it as the current day you just played. Only reason to go back is if you want to do real-time again.

I replaced Chops with Marshal through Amiibo cards. There's an app that emulates Switch controllers that allows the use of Amiibo. Look it up, it's really useful.

This method works great, but in case you wanted to try out something different but yet similar (?) here’s what I do. So you have your starting date then you skip forward by 15 days and if there are no thought bubbles over villagers skip a day from there and continue skipping by one until you have a thought bubble. Then finish off with his method of having your date and skipping around from there. I just find that if you skip 15 days right off the bat it speeds up the process

Me: YESSSSS
Them: hehe
Me: talks to them
Them: HeReS SomE ClOthEs

Had the thought bubble naturally occur, closed the app, and went a day forward. Went back to the day I was on and the bubble transfered. Thanks for the help figuring this all out. My boyfriend really wants dizzy and im glad I can make him happy.

This is so confusing to understand, the steps make sense, but I can't understand why skipping back in time to a certain date helps with this
You have to skip back to the original day you started at because well I’m not sure but most likely to re set the game. They leave about every 15 days so skipping just 1 usual doesn’t work...but tbh i don’t know how the game works completely
Do you need to wait a day for the villager to actually move out to go back to your starting date? Like, say I wanted to get rid of Carrie, I time travel some days and she has the thought bubble, she wants to leave and I say yes. What happens if I travel to the day where I started? Is she going to stay or is she going to move out?

If ur doing this method to farm several villagers: if a villager you want to keep moves in ,do not talk/ introduce yourself to the villager. The move out bubble can only trigger on villagers that you have introduced yourself to. So if you keep timetraveling that villager Will never want to move.
I tried this and the villager I wanted out of my island didn’t have a thought bubble. NONE of my villagers had thought bubbles. And now I got a bunch of weeds to pick. I don’t even know what I’m doing wrong...

Thank you so much! You helped me make Kabuki start packing. Someone on Nookazon wanted Kabuki, and they were willing to give me 200,000 bells and 20 nook mile tickets for him. They said they only have 500,000 bells, so they offered 200,000 bells. I’m just waiting for them to kick out a villager. I told them the steps from this video, so hopefully, they can kick out the villager they want as I did! :D

if it's a thought bubble for something that they give you it's not the day that they're trying to move out, so you need to keep time travelling until you find somebody who wants to move out then that is your set date.
Example for me my date is the 20th of April, I'm pretty much always guarantee that someone will ask to move out on the 20th of April and every two weeks after the on the Mondays.
I actually tested the theory on the 20th and was able to move out 2 villagers in the same night. So what I did was I started with the 20th and then sourced my way through every two weeks on the same Monday until I found the villager who I wanted to move.
again if you are finding someone that is wanting to give you a gift that is not the moving out date. You will need to keep time travelling until you find the moving out date. Then take note of that specific date and then travel two weeks forward from there. sometimes it works if you run around for 20 minutes or so until you find someone with the thought bubble. So it's a little bit of time tweaking plus patience

When my start villager Biff suddenly wanted to move out, I felt hurt. He’s my buddy, my jock homie, and suddenly he wanted to move out? Out of nowhere? I told him no, he can’t go. From that day on I promised myself to talk to him and give him flowers everyday until he stayed for good.
But Sylvia in the other hand, my other starter villager. She can begone. I hate her so much.

Just letting everyone know of a new way I’ve discovered works every time for me, and is even easier and quicker than this method!
All you need to do is time travel ahead 20 days, and time travel back to the original time before. You should have a villager wanting to move out ^^

EDIT: so after a few days and about 2 or 3 tries it did work, I think because I just had someone move out it was being stubborn lol. Also it was raining for like a week straight when I time travelled so everyone was inside, but if it didn’t work for you initially, keep at it!! Rewatch the video see if you missed anything, and just keep at it cause it will eventually work! 😊 I’m actually so thankful for this video now lol.

The thing I do is I stack my turnips at a friend ´s island . Then, I’m free to time travel to kick someone. When I’m finish, I go take them back.

The part that is not clear, is when you "get a villager you dont want to move" do you SAVE, or immediately close out, return to the original date, and go back to the "move out sweet spot" date?

It seems to work for me when I talk to them and check they do want to move out, but don’t click yes or no, and dont save and just close the software immediately and time travel back. I mean I still haven’t got the right villager to move, but it’s cycled through about 4, so it seems to work.

i’ve been doing this for three hours now. literally it’s been every villager besides two and he just won’t leave.
edit: 6 hours and he still hasn’t left
edit 2: so, after 8 hours he finally left. i had to scan in an amiibo (roald) so bob wouldn’t be the person i talked least to, then i had to skip through almost all of my villagers for him to move out, but then with my payment from the person i sold him to i found Judy so all was good eventually.

I have been trying for 2 days to get Sylvia out of here. I've traveled to so many different days and somehow suddenly when I need to find this chick she's always nowhere to be found no matter what time I skip it to, I finally find someone with the thought bubble but then when I try the method over suddenly nobody has it anymore!!!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong I've tried to get this lady to leave since day 1 and I am going INSANE

If you are traveling to a time when they are in the museum or a store, it can not work. You have to change the time also. :)

So update: after like 3 fill days of working I time traveled and stumbled upon a campsite w filbert in it so I tried the campsite method and after 3 tries I finally got her out!!!!
