- I'm not an expert, but here are my recommendations for island villagers, based on your theme! like i said in the video, it's just my opinion, and if left any of your faves out, feel free to let me know what theme you think they would fit in!

My theme is going to be spooky cottagecore. I want fauna, Erik, coco, beau, maple, and dobie maybe :) I also have molly and stitches and I love them
Tropical theme with a bit of cottage and Asian theme. Villagers I want are: Chevre the white goat, Tangy, Henry, and Mira.
Urban and industrial
Uhh, tropicore, cottagecore, fairycore, junglecore, modern, kidcore, so basically all that exists
I'm following the theme called : i literally don't care at all, I'll just do what looks good

I got beardo as a "you can't reject me" villager and Charlise as an og, so they're married now.
I prefer to "adapt" my villagers to the theme of my island instead of looking for specific ones: clothes do a lot for fitting them into the ambience, also change their house exteriors. I made a traditional japanese themed island and only Phil had the vibe of it from the beginning, with people like Octavian and Sprocket being at the very polar opposite. Then I gave kimonos to each, even straw ronin hats to the octopus and the robot, and they absurdly fit now. Anyway, very interesting video.

Fr! Mt theme is cozy/winter and my bear has a winter jumper and I have hazel
my island theme is generally forestcore, but with a very specific backstory. all my villagers have their own backstories that they were actually based on with their design. for example: genji, benjamin, chèvre, nan, kiki, coco and shino are all based on japanese stories/folklore!
Everyone always leaves Gayle out for fairycore island she’s literally pastel pink with a heart on her face!!💗

Another good Villager for Kidcore is Sydney! She’s bright, she has a childish starter outfit, and her catchphrase is _sunshine._ She’s the perfect kidcore villager

@@Flynn_777 I was the same, but I recently have been addicted to it again lol. How I got back into it was by figuring out what I wanted my island to look like. It doesn't have to be a specific "theme" though. For example, I wanted my island to have multiple styles with some areas more rural and others more urban and that I wanted my island to be very full so that there is always something to look at. Work on your island a section at a time. I was landscaping the outside of my Museum and then I had the idea to make a hidden fossil gallery walkway. As you build a step at a time, your creativity leads you and you are never bored. Don't focus too much on the bigger picture. One half of my island is filled and landscaped to my liking while the other is completely bare as I haven't gotten to it yet. Don't focus on what other towns look like, that will hinder you and make you not sure about your town. And most certainly, DON'T copy a section of someone else's town just because you really like it. You can take inspiration, but copying will make you bored very quickly. Hope you get back into animal crossing!

I just reset my island, and I swear I have been getting so lucky with my cottagecore theme. First of all, two of my first 5 villagers were cottagecore. Not to mention I found one of them, Coco, with only one NMT, and then I got an autofill of Patty, who I have grown to love! My first ever campsite villager was Kyle, and I love the wolves so that was a huge bonus. Also, this is a personal opinion, but I think Shino, who is on my island and a new villager could fit fine for cottagecore! I got Annalise with two NMT, and she is so underrated, absolutely adore her! But then I got Tangy in my campsite and was so sad to let her go!!

I build my theme around the villagers I get by default. I’ll usually use a few tickets to find a villager that is good enough. But I get the charm behind hunting :)

I'm going for a cottagecore natural looking island, and I have gotten Coco, Beau and Molly which were my dreamies! I also had Eloise's amiibo, which I think she fits the vibe (the pop of yellow like you said,) but I also have Flip and Charlise which were my OGs, so I'm very attached to them ☠️ I also ha e Deli which I believe was an autofill which also fits the vibe surprisingly well! I have some others I'm attached to so that's kind of a problem since I want more villagers. I wish we could have 15 😭 Edit: I forgot to mention that I just got Pashmina on a nook miles island which is on the cottagecore list which is why I came to this video hahaha

On my island I’m going for the kidcore, fairycore, cutecore, fantasycore vibe and the two villagers I have on my island at the time that totally fits these vibes are Scoot and Renée! These two were the first people on me island!
FYI if you don’t like the exterior you can change it when you like but it does cost some bells

My island is a mix between fairy core and some witchy mushroom forest vibes and I have some pretty random villagers on my island that I think still work perfectly. I have Megan (a bright purple bear with yellow ears and clothes and sparkly looking freckles) and Caroline (a red and yellow squirrel). I definitely didn't see myself going for brighter colored villagers but I'm very happy with how they fit the fantasy foresty feel I'm going for.
Dizzy is a good kidcore-ish elephant. I have him on my island and my sister is in love with him... literally, as in she jokes about him being her boyfriend-
