Great video Richard, thanks for sharing about the flood help you're involved with. They will be needing help for quite a while. And lots of prayers will help too. Things are looking good around there, and yes the milled lumber does look better from the new saw, better quality and bigger boards. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
If those solar panel frames are aluminum, you might want to add a special electrical paste to your connections that prevents electrolysis from occurring with the contact of dissimilar metals.
My background before retiring was as an Electronics Technician. In my opinion, The manufacturer made grounding points available at the top and bottom for convenience but not required in every location. one per panel would be fine
I like a #8 run from the rod along the bottom of the array then split bolt connectors and #10 to each panel instead of jumpers between panels. Good Job
Glad you are not in a low lying area. Madison county NC is my home. I live in Michigan now, hearing about the devastation is terrible. Prayers to all in North Carolina and Tennessee.
All ground rods should be tied together and they should be grounded to your house ground. I worked at a collage at one time, the IT Dept was on a backup power unit. About once or twice a year the servers were hit. I told them they have a ground problem, but they said we have a ground rod on the panel. They did but it was not tied the the main power ground location. Tied the grounds together and no more fired servers. Two earth grounds in two locations are not a common ground.
With All The Lighting being Mega OR Giga Apmeries; Bonding each top & bottom I feel is Needed! That is why early houses caught fire so often, Not Enough Grounding Points. Thanks for sharing. Peace, Long Life, & Health to All.
Good morning- your ledger board may want to consider putting a bead of sealer at the bottom of the panels so water don’t get under the panels - if it does and freeze could cause solar panel damage - water freezing is a powerful hydraulic pressure
I have helped out after a tornado near Warren Ohio. The red cross gave me a bag of bolonia sandwitches. Then after I ate some of these gave me another bag to take with me to where I was helping them clean up. Everything was leveled down to the basements. Glad one is carrying the food to others. I was out of food not to long ago, got offline and could not order me anything. Now I ordered a lot of stuff and still some of it is not comming in. 23 pounds of pinto beans did not come. Another container was to be here on Friday and then they mailed it out on the 7th or so, ordered it on the 30th. So I ordered more beans and rice. I keep me a pot of beans and rice on and mixed veggies in it. This helps me out some. Then I add to it. Those tommatoes are good with scrambled eggs too. Try not to work to hard. Paul.
I like the way you talk. Ain’t no gas in it.Just keep on keeping on. God Bless.
Alright then. Lol
Please continue to pray for all those affected and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Yes. They certainly need everyone right now.

I think it cuts much better. Very consistent cuts and flat
Yes on the top should be ok as long as the frame of the solar panel is all the way around the edge of the panel.
I’m thinking the same way. As long as each panel is grounded is what counts

God bless all the people affected by both hurricanes
Amen

We are thankful all rivers are 15 minutes away and we built on a hill. The destruction is immense. Lived in Pontiac till I was 10 years old.
Richard aren't the unistruts grounding each of your together if so you may only need to put a ground wire down to your ground rods
No, because I am not tightening the panels but snug. There are three pieces of unistrut. To many points of no contact.
yes the new machine cuts much better
I agree. It seams a world of difference

Your right. I mentioned early on that they will be joined underground.
