hey, quick detail concerning strawberry jam : it's a mod made in 2 years with more than 350 contributors. it's so insane that the devs of celeste, while playing one of the strawberry jam levels, said that it was "way better than i think we can make". if you liked celeste, i really suggest you giving it a try. it's free and easy to install if you have it on steam.
The extra life is obtained in a kinda unique way (challenging) as a reference to older video games. Non-spoiler hint below: Strawberries have an interesting particle when picked up. Also the reference is to Super Mario mostly
@@brawlsandblimps2336Well technically they did but it's a hard to learn meta and I guess they just didn't want to teach people, but there is a secret berry that you can get in Chapter 1 if you beat it dashless, and to do this you need the neutral jump on one of the screens
Honestly? As much as I love celeste, I could never mod it. there's just something that feels wrong about modding it, I dunno. It isn't like risk of rain 2, or lethal company, which you mod to oblivion (of course they do have overmodding but that's not a good idea generally) but celeste is just... special, i guess.
I kind of get how you feel, but the modding scene is amazing and (in a good way) feels very disconnected from the base games story and themes. It's really just more and spicier gameplay. For non gameplay mods, there my favourite mod: Motion Smoothing. It increases the frame rate without affecting the physics at all. Celeste at 240+ fps on a 240Hz monitor is unreal, it makes 60Hz feel like a slideshow haha. The other mod worth getting is the speedrun tool, which lets you save and load your position to practice the difficult parts of levels. Game-changer for speed running and doing the really hard levels.
Playing StrawBerryJam is an obligation you have to yourself. It might be litteraly the best videogame mod ever made. By not playing StrawBerryJam, you are doing yourself a massive disservice. (I still recomend beating the base game first, but it's your choise)
Other mods you shold play include: StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, StrawBerryJam, and of course, who could forget: StrawBerryJam
Took a break after some really terrible runs ;( Let's just say the hired hand was involved... I may get back to posting more spelunky 2 vids soon, but I have some other vids in mind as well
I got jumpscared seeing myself in this video lol

Believe me I'm excited to play it, I just need to get the main game on the channel first. It should keep me motivated

You never learn neutral jumping in base game
That's tough... Like, really tough
No neutrals but they teach wallbounces :soSad:
@@supak00pa82 Is there any reason for this? Like did the devs never discover neutral jumps?
