I believe in you and your sugar goal! Although I will say: you are absolutely stunning as you are in this moment, and you lead an active and adventure-filled life, I definitely understand how you feel. When I get out of my routine or don't feel willpower over my choices I can get in a real funk. Love you and cheering for you! This is inspiring me to set an activity goal too (as a fellow remote-work desk sitter :)

You look incredible Kate, you do not need to worry about how others perceive you, just how you feel. A 30 day challenge is a great way for you to explore other habits to replace your sugary ones - finding something else to have with your coffee (peanut butter toast works! Or apple and peanut butter), to celebrate, etc. Just be careful of binging, which can happen when you restrict, and don’t be hard on yourself if you cave into cravings and don’t make the 30 days. You can still complete the 30 day challenge and make it a tool to learn more about yourself and the daily habits you want going forward.
Just sharing this from experience in case it helps - I used to be very hard on myself!

You're so right about being hard on myself, I always am 😬 How did you get over it?
I feel like telling you I'm going to do 30 days should motivate me to deliver.

@@KateOstre It’s a constant work in progress! To be completely honest, the biggest shift happened when my mum passed away a few years ago. She constantly yo-yo dieted and she said her biggest regret was being so consumed by food and weight and diet. So that pushed me to change my relationship with food and health. But I’m still learning, so that’s how I approach everything I do - figuring out and learning what works for me and what makes me happy and what quiets the negative internal commentary.
Happy to chat with you about this any time and check in over the 30 days. I think it’s so great that you’re doing this (I did it once several years ago and made it), I just don’t want to see you thinking of yourself as a failure if you do eat something sugary before the 30 days ends. Whether you do or not, you will still learn things about yourself and you’ll come out of the 30 days with new thoughts and habits and that’s what will make the challenge successful.

Thank you for sharing. Hugs! And so inspiring to hear you've done this successfully before. I'll keep you updated for sure. Have you had any more kickboxing classes?

Thanks Kate! No, I hurt my knee! 😩 Not from kickboxing, I think it was an accumulation of things, but I had to have an MRI last week and am waiting for the results. Have been resting since, so fingers crossed I was just doing too much and the rest has been enough to fix it and I get the okay to get back to it!
