Igbos should go to their father's land and develop them. Our homes are becoming deserts because of lack of habitats. Nobody can come to your father's land and ask you to leave.
I don't know why you people are afraid of coming home.

Igbo businesses people are now result to begging the Lagos state government in order to stay and do their business. Chai! Yorubas dare you Igbos to leave and would all see whether it is the Igbos businesses that need Lagos to survived or not. There is no business in Southeast, no peace and stability and Yorubas has the economic power more than the Igbos in Lagos. Truth be told.

Only an insane person would invest in Lagos right now. You can't target groups of people, and close their businesses, that's a recipe for disaster. Do you think New York would survive if they closed down all businesses belonging to Italians or Jewish people? You're only fooling yourself, Lagos won't diminish overnight, it'll take years, but the effects of this bigotry will eventually be felt.
Igboland is currently experiencing a property market boom, housing estates and economic cities are springing up everywhere. All this does, is accelerate the process, and in turn, choke Lagos; which is the only economically viable place in Yorubaland. Where will the Yoruba people do, when Lagos dies?

Why you igbo guys are been asked to leave where ever you go? You've been chased out of Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Cotonu, even in Dubai and Malaysia. Now you're coming to Lagos.

Have we bothered to ask if it was true, the noticed claimed to have been given since 2016? And it was because, the buildings are eyesores, hoodlums hideout, and are against the standard to be maintained.
And seven years later, this execution is taking place.
Those who should have demolished the buildings before now are to blame then.
But, let's stop politicizing/tribalizing every issues, especially sensitive ones like this. If these buildings remains, and are used against these people crying foul, they will cry that they are being witchhunted. Which way now?
We need to understand many things, to learn and unlearn where necessary.

We don't have any communal boundary with Igbo, they are not our neighbors.
Igbo are the uninvited guests that have refused to face their business and stop interfering in our politics in Yoruba land.

    My view.
Why are you crying more than the bereaved. When the Yoruba dominated areas were demolished, who did we cry to? I still have a good memory. I was a young boy when Maroko (the present day lekki , Oniru and Victoria island extension )were demolished in 1990. It was a suburb dominated by Yorubas. My father’s little house and that of his numerous friends were demolished without any reasonable compensation by the government of the day.
Who are the beneficiaries today? Go to lekki, majority of home owners are of Igbo extractions.. they benefited by the gentrification of the homes owned by other ethnic nationalities in Lagos.
Other demolished neighborhoods are Sura, Ijora badia, Makoko , oto, Ilubirin etc . These are dominated by Yoruba extractions and were demolished and nothing happened.
Let the traders go to court and stop whining. I’m still in pain… on account of Maroko demolition of the 90s…. My father and his friends never survived the shock!!
The demolition must go on but with payment of adequate compensation and must be done with caution !!!

You don't need to relocate to another market, what you need is to relocate to your dot region.
