As one of the audience members present during this specific event, I can tell you that my life has changed for the better since being introduced to Jean-Jacques Perrey.
No matter how many crumby phone recordings you will see of Wally's latest venture, it will never match the real thing. I saw the orchestra in Launceston recently at MOFO. Great performer, great human being. Buy a ticket and do the right thing people.
Well of course, a phone will never capture the energy of a performance. All 9 Aus shows were sell outs, so people did do the right thing ;) I was fortunate enough to be at two Syd Fest shows and Wally's knowledge, enthusiasm, passion and sheer joy for this project is incredible. Not to mention the wonderful band of musicians he's put together. Any New Yorkers who are able to, should definitely go to his next show in a couple of weeks in Feb!

I'll be linking and crediting anything I feature in the video, it’s just a fan project (if I even manage to finish it!) Its ok if not. Thanks for even having shared these videos online, its so wholesome to see how much he gets into the performance. The best vicarious substitute for knowing I would have never been able to see the real thing live 😅

Saw him at Radio City Music Hall back in 2012. One of the coolest concerts ever! Such an unconventional performer.
