Anyone who listens to this and doesn't agree that Steve Marriott was supremely talented can kiss my ass....even though his voice is a bit shot his guitar work is outstanding, very underrated....pick up his biography, All or Nothing , it's a great read while you crank up the Pie!!!
His voice might have changed but in some respects it’s still awesome ,and, with all the “Frampton “ hype. Did he really need Frampton? He’s a bad ass guitarist in his own right!
A true musicians musician, raw and uncut, he just wanted to play and explore the depths of music, always had that ability to inspire his fellow plays, who didn't he influence over 40 years RIP Steve
It's just him on the guitar. There are not two guitarists. There are videos of him playing like that. He's always been good on the guitar and very creative. A technique in the right dose. I also love his harmonica...Steve Marriot. The Boss that few know. Listen to this. What a concert.
Small faces and humble pie two of greatest bands in the world... Steve marriot what a human beign of the music world. Powerful and soulfull. Incredible.
True rock and roll witchcraft,he had the voice of a black soul singer,in a little english kidz body,God rest him, thank God he didnt take Jimmy Page,s offer 2 join his new project that would become,Led Zeppelin,4 if this wouldnt have happened,Page would not have sought out Robert Plant,,,hence NO John Bonham,,,NO Led Zeppeli,,,no,HUMBLE PIE,,,so THANKFUL WE SHOULD BE,4 DESTINY....

R I P Steve...Deine Lieder erfreuen uns immer noch!!! Dr.Ilja Lasaroff.Bulgarien. Steve Mariott war einer der ersten Rocker, die sich für bulgarische Folksmusik interessiert haben.... Steve and humble pie with Frampton on lead guitar and vocals ,Shirley on drums and Ridley on Bass and vocals live at the Fillmore auditorium in New York is absolutely stunning. No matter who. Steve played with he was the star ⭐️. Peace Steve you motherfucker who could sing and play his ass off.
Great selection of pics. Steve’s guitar chops were absolutely brilliant by the time he got to his Packet of Three & Official Receivers period. Frontman, singer, guitarist a total Triple Threat. No one could touch him. He was the complete package.
what a fucking just jam. long time rock listener, first time steve marriot. i must have heard him without knowing it before, but holy shit great upload. jsut found a new guitarist i fucking love. 14 mintues in and havent changed the page. mm mm good
Right? I was playing in a regional band based out of Fort Wayne and Hicksville was a nearby border town with a more lenient drinking age so the old Hicksville theater became a pretty good roadhouse style venue. We were surprised to hear they booked Steve Marriott to play - and through our sound system (which is how we recorded). They were awesome fun and happy to hang with us - even took our demo tape for a listen on the bus.
These guys sound more 70s than 80s. The Mid eighties pop music was nerdy. Bruce Springsteen, Huey Louis n news. I got nothing against Huey Louis’s band. The Bruce Springsteen I grew up with SUCKS. MTV was nerd, and we still watched it?
That is because Steve is a 1960s rock star. Having sung Dodger somewhere between Davy Jones and Phil Collins, he had a few years on the Londoncub scene before hitting his stride with the Small Faces in 1965. Then Humble Pie.
Absolutely brilliant band love all Steve Marriott's music true performer. 👍
Muya Fkn Truth,he had the voice of a 200 pound soul singer,in that tiny little english body,AMAZING,PIE4EVER,Peace brother...

I agree, destiny in the world of music its Full of "action". This live concert in 1985 its unbelivably very very good.

Remember lads and lasses, do not smoke in bed, especially after a skinful.
Wow - the sound is fantastic... How the hell did they play in Hicksville? And where?

Was it big Jim Leverton?
