The unique oddities like this rare example make this hobby so appealing. So glad to see these along with others being preserved and documented. Really cool Luke!
Still think it’s crazy that both you and Andy Robinson both released videos on these and most of us hardcore RC guys have never even heard of these. I vaguely remember seeing these at toys r us as a kid but was more interested in the monogram and cox cars they had. Super cool resto mod Luke
Hey thanks Thad, yes I believe you’re correct on the toys r us carrier as I felt I seen this buggy in or around 1990 and we used to get toys r us catalogs growing up. I got to find one of those. 👍
Nice Restoration Bro 💯 seems like it handles well and definitely looks great, I seen these at western auto back in my youth but went with the Nikko Truck instead... ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing 👍😎👍 AOAH 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend 🏁💯🏁
It is a wild looking one for sure, they went out on their own designing it! I enjoy the odd and quirky ones and this fits right in there for sure! Great job getting it all fixed up and out running again. The only thing I would have changed on it is the battery door, I would have had to of cut that out of some carbon fiber just for the irony of it! LOL!! Thanks for sharing it Luke!
lol! yeah the carbon fiber battery door on a 87 Italian made toy/budget hobby rc car would have been absolutely amazing man. Always a pleasure having the great Addam stop by.☺️
Hiya :) Enjoyed the video, looked superb zipping about. I think maybe I should have ran mine on more of a flat surface may have put less stress on the grerbox. Loved your nod to the Italian Stallion ;) thank you for the shout out , much appreciated, you’re a Gent. Interesting note, your rear wheels E clip on the rear axle shafts where mine had proper wheels nuts ? Maybe they changed over to nuts later on in production? Box art shows E clip fitting. Awesome work Luke and great to see another Navajo on YT . Take care
Hi friend, yeah it’s possible the surface or the car’s materials just were in deterioration mode sooner. I know for certain you did great work on it love the yellow paint. Definitely a looker. Looking forward to your next rc. Thanks again for the support and smiles. 🙏
Saw one of these on Andy Robinsons channel the other day very interesting buggy.. great vid dude very informative to 😊👍👍 great job on the build and mods
Oh man! This car takes me back to the old r/c magazines where I use to see this model in the advertisement areas. I always did like the look of the Navajo and yes it surely did borrow some design qeues from the SG Coyote. One day I will get the Navajo. Thanks again Luke.
Yeah Jason mine was pretty bad shape but it was inexpensive. Turned out great, Andy from Andy Robinson RC told me his was problematic with gear issues. So could be a factory issue but mine was awesome as video showed. Promise if I come across one for reasonable price I’ll just post it to you. Thank you for your valuable information and if have anyone gives you insight on any RCL Incident’s for sale please share your information to me. Love to own one. Thank you 🙏
That looks awesome! Another top notch resto. It's an interesting buggy and looks cool. The 80's was so good, anyone got a time machine cause I want to back?
Hey Luke, really nice build. I found you via your Nikko Scorpion video. I love the work you do to these old cars and was wondering if you take any requests? I just bought a 90s Nikko buggy in "good" condition that my cousin had when we were kids, it has no radio of course so I was thinking of just swapping everything out and giving it to him for his birthday. I'm sure that you could do a much better job on it than I could though, so throwing it out there -- maybe you could do a video on it and then ship it back and I could throw you some cash to cover it? Let me know what you think, thanks!
Hi sir, so I’m appreciative you reaching out to me but I have around 120 vehicles to do. Usually 1-2 month. It would be years before I could help you and then there is the responsibility of someone else’s property. And then expectation. I don’t want to sound offensive or anything but even if I would do and charge for the time it probably would be too expensive. It literally takes weeks for some projects to complete just the hrs I have invested would blow your mind probably 30 hrs for a majority plus if i were to put an hr rate price $40-50 to be honest. My advice would be to look up that car on UA-cam you’ll probably find someone who’s modifying it. I hope this helps. Take care buddy
@@LukesVintageRC More than understandable. Time is money man and I appreciated you getting back to me. I haven't seen anyone working on this exact car (Nikko Enforcer), but I'll keep watching your videos and will take a shot at it myself -- there's definitely some common ground between various models. Thanks man!
Is there anything you do to preserve stickers and decals when putting them on in order to keep them from peeling off or getting damaged? Do you clear coat over them or anything?
Hi Nick, it’s been awhile since you commented? Where you been lol! So it’s all about prep lots of that with 1500 sandpaper.Behr paint is good as it’s designed for plastic with an advanced adhesive ingredient. I use it for a majority of rc restos on the channel and every one looks great still. Pics on Instagram of the current pack at lukesvintagerc. More to come as you can expect.
This is a very interesting car. We hadn't these back in those days here. Good job on the restauration and thanjs for showing th run.
Always nice to hear from you brother. Thank you for your awesome videos too. 🙏

Thanks and more to oddities to come.
@@LukesVintageRC I do not doubt that!

Absolutely clear them with gloss a few times. MCI doesn’t need that though.
@@LukesVintageRCThank you.
It looks like it has a locked Dif. The way it kicks out when u turn a little in the dirt. And open Dif wouldn't do that. Still super cool little Rig
She’s open for business / tires are hard 😉
I’d love to race it against a hobby swapped Nikko Dictator or even a Golden Arrow
That would be awesome. Thanks
Hello 🖐🏿
Please where do find vintage RC car?
Hi there. eBay and marketplace.thanks ☺️
I noticed you used Behr paint and primer spray paint... how does it hold on a polycarbonate body?
