I’m not really feeling optimistic about a remaster of The Sims 2 and 3. Who knows if they’ll actually do a good job? I’m concerned it might turn out as buggy as The Sims 4. I don’t trust EA to handle it honestly.

They could honestly just turn TS3 into 64-bit and I think that would help a lot of people tremendously. Like girl, the amount of techy stuff I had to do in middle school to make the game recognize my specs lmfao

Still, I really hope they don’t charge full price for these re-releases unless they are true remasters with upgraded textures, visuals, lighting, audio quality and more to bring them up to modern standards. I got my complete collection of Sims 2 for under $10 when it was available, and I found The Sims 3 with all its expansions for a good price on Instant Gaming. It would be really frustrating to pay full price for a simple re-release that’s just been adjusted to run better on newer Windows/macos and 64-bit systems.

That would be the lesser evil… but it would also mean that the older sims titles would still not be playable on modern pcs and we would be limited to reconstructions of those games in a mediocre game. If this happens at least let the sims in the past be low poly and behave closer to how they were in the earlier games
if they update and optimize sims 3. my life would be complete. i dont care about sims 4 at all and ill have my triad of games once Inzoi and Paralives release!

There is no need to reboot them and I wouldn’t purchase that. If anything, they should make them better playable somehow for those who have them, or a rerelease of the existing game as a complete collection (for pc AND mac in x64) on EA/Steam. Otherwise, they should focus on fixing the game and not doing everything BUT that. I’m not even interested in a film. They have more important things to do

They announced that MySims Cozy Bundle is coming to PC so it could come out during the nostalgia now section of the road map

My birthday is on the 27th. A 64 bit patch for TS3 announcement would be the best thing I could ever ask for. Please EA, for the love of anything worth loving (like abandoned superior games in one of the franchises that got you where you are now), please eliminate that measly 4gb RAM limit and allow the game to use the additional 60gb of RAM in my PC.

Wait sorry I have to ask, but why would releasing merch for "less accessible" games be an issue? Just because not everyone has access to certain things doesn't mean they shouldn't be used. That's like if I got mad at Pokemon merch existing because I don't have a Switch.
I really hope they update the Sims 3 hairs at some point with them less eye sores.. and some of the clothing, tuning some things .or even just give us like similar sims 4 being able to alt key like doors and windows and things like that. I’ll be really cool if they kind of edit or upgrade it so art style and whatever like I I still love the Sims three kind of 2000s kind of punk rock kind of edge that the game had. The Sims four could use some help with some of their hairs, but they’re probably never gonna do that. At least it would be cool if we can like have custom highlights and dies and whatever at some point but tell them the hairs are still lame. Hopefully, when the Harris club happens, they bring in some of her hair she’s done cause I’m like if you’re gonna work all these careers like give a small gorgeous compatible with the game hair like this is stupid. I’m all for diversity and they were great about that. It’s just like a wall of hair slightly or different cultural representations and I’m like can we get stuff that’s you know for all like just a variety you don’t give us one hair or two. That’s why I hate the look of the baby hairs in the game. It just looks weird like someone drove my hair on.😂… hopefully justice for hairs in the Sims three and four

I would like them to focus on the existing Sims games 1-4 instead of making a Sims 5. There is so much they can do to improve 1-4 that would keep us entertained for a long time. They need to make available Sims 1 & 2 for free or to purchase. I had the Sims 1 in the past and a majority of the packs but got rid of them when Sims 2 came along, big mistake on my part. I've been a fan of this game for years, it's all I play and I know a lot of fans like myself have lots of suggestions for EA on what we would like to see in 1-4 that was not previously in the original game.

I don't think they will give us the Sims or Sims 2. Yes, there would be money in it but probably not enough to make it worth their while. They know lots of players want it but they are only catering to younger players. I doubt most of them care about the older games. How much would you be willing to pay for the first one or Sims 2?

It does need a upgrade to be able to run on newer hardware at least, it was such a chore to make TS2 run on my computer

They updated sims 3 recently. If they release an old game, my feeling is this one.

64 bit on Mac does not work! the majority of the best play interactions on Sims 3 is missing!
