You're a woman after my own heart. I live in a funky old house and love a Victorian vibe on a budget. I found a pressed glass cookie jar at a yard sale and filled it full of soap. I like a lot of interesting things to look at and contemplate while I am making a visit to that room.
So pretty! I love the color of the wall. It’s quite relaxing. I hoard handmade soaps and I love the idea of displaying them like that but I will definitely be dipping into it lol! Ps my mom had the fancy French soaps we couldn’t use as well. 😂

I have a disabled mother, an unemployed sister, and lots of bills to pay, concerning a house I bought. Right now, I need light, flowers, sun, something to make me happy and calm. But I really enjoyed your hallway and this bathroom. Congrats for the work, it's perfect.
Dark and moody aren't depressing for me. It is very calming and comforting because it's what I love. In contrast, bright and white make the space feel sterile , uninviting, and doesn't speak to who the person is that dwells there. I think people who appreciate darkness as well as light have deep feelings, maybe not so easily expressed themselves but through their surroundings can accomplish this and sometimes feel more in control. I'm not sure if I expressed myself in a way others would understand. I have been through a lot in my life, as many of us have. I didn't know if I could make it sometimes. If you are struggling right now, surround yourself with things that make you feel like you. It's nice to feel like we have control of our lives when everything else says otherwise. Keep your head up, eyes wide open, and breathe. You will come out better and stronger for it. Know you're not alone, and do whatever you need to to protect yourself. Even if that means not always being available to others. I wish you nothing but love and laughter. Stay the course. You are important. XoXo

Hahahaha! I’ve got my toothbrushes in a vintage enamel medical tool keeper…it has a lid for the EXACT reason you discussed. Thought I was the only one in the country that thought like this. I’m on the hunt for the perfect knife rest to use inside…might have to come up with something else…the lid won’t close with the knife rests I’ve tried. Right now there’s just a small match box in there. Ya know…to keep the bristles up so they can drain without touching the container. Also, can’t stand Hairspray…smell or the taste of it on my toothbrush! Glad to know I have a kindred spirit. 😊 LOVE your videos!
