My gameplay recording looks beautiful! The game itself was running smoothly but, for some reason, the OBS recording was lagging. I tried and tried and nothing worked. I thought I'd have to settle with it because of my PC. Now my gameplay recording matches the same fps as the actual game. Thank you!

This is the best quality video I've ever watched covers everything.
When I click the advanced audio settings it does not give me the option to change tracks
I have friends that stream to their channel using this, and it was recommended to me after I got my Alienware Area51m Gaming Laoptio. And after I installed this I just jumped right into it, and it would record my video. But going back to look at it in my files it wouldn't pop up. Glad I found this video and hopefully it will help me out with that issue.

ok this helped so much, my videos have been getting so hard to watch that i stopped uploading till i could find out why my frames and video quality were horrible. Last time i listen to a friend lol
Any reason why I can't choose my monitor's display resolution for my canvas size? Under Video settings, my only options are 1080p or 720p, no 4K. I'm using a 4K 60hz monitor and have been recording in 4K on OBS no problem for years, but after switching to Streamlabs, it won't allow anything other than 1080 or 720. What gives? Any ideas?
Already did. And the res at the properties on my record video was 1080x1920
But when i uploaded my record games to facebook, it just detect max at 720p
That files contain 5,2 GB on 4 minutes .
I got everything else to work, but I can't seem to get my microphone to work while recording. It works when I test it in streamlabs, because the bar is moving when I speak, but I can't hear my voice at all when I go back and listen to the recording despite having my mic all the way up to max volume. For my mic I am using a Logitech g332 headsets mic, if that helps.

Oh, my, god, you literally saved my life because there was just one setting that I didn't know about which changed absolutely everything, it went from awful quality to great

On my macbook pro the max canvas and output resolution is 1920x1080p i can achieve the 4k 30 or 60 fps quality in recording video? I need to buy an external video capture card?
question my 3080 is always close to max usage and my 5900x is not even close to that most of the time would it be better for me to set it to software x264 if so would i lose any quality.
Thanks for the vid, I have a 4k 60hz monitor, and recording in 1080p since the game isn't a 4k game, recording in 4k wont matter will it so I might aswell change the base and output setting to 1080p, I dont want to be wasting time and waiting for the 4k vid to upload on UA-cam but you can't see a difference in 1080p or 4k since the actual game is maxed out at 1080p 60, (game is Nathan Drake collection)??
Hi, whenever I was recording some test gameplay during some if it the frames dropped super bad, and I don't know how to fix it.

So my streaming bitrate is around 5k, is the recording bitrate the same or higher? Someone else video said his recording bitrate is at 50k since he uses streamlabs to make reaction UA-cam vids, does that make sense?
Having a problem where when i watch my mp4 files i cannot hear anything even though in streamlabs it shows that the audio is working but its like my recordings are not using any of it

My voice while im streaming has good volume but when i save and record a game play (game play saved from geforce experience, or even if i try to test record on slobs) my mic is low, but my team mates voices still have good volume. any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?
Why is my recorddding moving in like 2 fps, i have no visible lag while recording but the video is low fps.
Close your streamlabs then check out the recording.
I hope this video can help me with recording my pc isore then qualify but for some reason when i record it looks awful. I have a ryzen 9 5900x and a 3080ti 32 gb of ram and idk why when i record it just doesnt come out right.

I record clash royale gameplay. I use MacBook Pro and I use iPhone. I use usb cable to connect my phone to my MacBook to record my gameplay. When I record on Streamlabs obs and I press record my gameplay comes out blurry. Can you maybe help me?
When I go and click record it says " An error occurred with the output. Please check your streaming and recording settings" what does that mean?
But like, what are the Specs for what you need to have to run at those settings?

My recording still doesn’t look good even tho i changed everything. Sometimes when i change the setting it doesn’t change my recording which is weird
im confused i try to record a game (Geometry Dash) but my screen is black when I record then try to post on yt

Hi I have a problem and hope someone can help like quickly. I set this up twice and achieved great results then came back a few days later, record again and the result is shite, skipping frames, audio out of sync, when a few days before it was perfect. Why is it different result? All the settings are the same. Cheers

Anyone else having issues with Streamlabs giving them a rather blurred and washed out recording despite having all of the quality settings really cranked up?
I found a bit of a ix for that issue but it requires me to use the I444 color format and that makes all of the recorded videos unplayable in anything besides VLC media player.
If anyone has a solution to this I would greatly appreciate! I want to get back into doing more art videos but the recording looks like absolute trash so far in Streamlabs OBS and vanilla OBS.

Hello. I have a problem with OBS on Mac. I can't set the desktop audio bc there is nothing. It appears "unable". Help :(
on Mac you need a third party software to capture desktop audio.. I got "Sound Siphon" it works great to setup several virtual audio outputs!
when i record for an hour the video will be less than a min how can i expand the duration?
well thanks alot this did not improve my recording one bit and it only just muted the game in the recording that I was playing for an hour.

Your rig is good for either. It just depends on quality as CPU encoding is focused on quality where GPU encoding is focused on performance.
