This seems pretty useful for gigs or band practice cause you can just wheel it around instead of lugging around heavy ass cases in your hands (which gets tiring real quick if you have to use public transport). Especially useful if one of your bandmates borrows one of your guitars/basses so you can bring 2 at once comfortably!
Thank you for this review, I have been thinking of getting one but none of our local (two) stores carry them. Very helpful and I will be ordering one. Subbed!
I’ll take this over the Enki any day. Just for the multiple catches alone, which I’ve broken 2 in my travels. Easily fixed but…. I’ve also got the Dixon case and the Quantum case, which I love. The Gator case is like a tougher Dixon case and it definitely does not sway like the Enki and the Dixon. It’s good to have options and a bit competition in the market.
Damn this is exactly what I'm currently looking for, except all my guitars are flying Vs haha! I hope Gator come out with variations for the more extreme shapes.
I need the bass version but I am sure it would probably tip the scales over 50lbs. Also RIP BCRich, V and Explorer owners. I am looking forward to what Gator comes up with. I am kind of obsessed with cases. The struggle is real especially with oversized basses.
Fluff , a cool idea that’s needed if one gigs often . If you’re in contact with Gator , please suggest a rolling head case option for amp heads , which would also be a great tool for gigging guitarists . I’ve tried suggesting this to several companies including Enkie and Gator but no one is listening ! Perhaps you can get their attention.
i'm sure with two guitars (about 10 lbs max each) and the 21lbs of the case, would be still under the 23kg (50lbs) weight limit. But you will have to pay extra anyway for oversized bagage, am i right? Checked bag max dimensions (length + width + height) should be less than 158 cm (62 in), and this case is 50.5 x 11.75 x 19 inches
Hey so Gator said they are coming out with a bass version but itll take a few months, do you think its worth holding out for over the Enki or just get the Enki?
Everything I've seen on this case demonstrates it operating under normal conditions. What happens to the guitar headstocks if the airline drops this top down? Do the guitars risk hitting the top of the case?
I’ve been wondering about these. We had the Dixon cases when I was in Etid, the wheels blew out pretty quickly and they were super dented, then hard to close. Easily trashed. Hmm. Might not work with two Travis Beans weight-wise.
wish they would make one for V and explorer types if they made one of those that would hold 3+ maybe 4 ( i know thats stretching it a bit ) they would make bank only option for V or EX type is the enki but that only holds 2 i seriously need one for my dean v that thing is massive even bigger than my jackson concord and i feel like im really draining the bacnk having to get a case for every one i own that are "extreme " shapes which is mostly all of the ones i own lol
The 2 complaints I have about this is, They went about 6" higher than my headstock even is in the case, and when my strats are in it and the lid isn't on the guitars flop all over the place. The neck cutouts on the top are way too big.
you filmed this on saturday? the hottest day of the year , so far...? freakin' heatwave. what was it, like 72? haha. Nice demo of this sweet looking case.
I have two of these and I'm not a fan.. The gap above the headstocks is a little ridiculous. The neck pockets in the top foam is cut too wide and my Jim Root strats just bounce around (when the lid is off). They need to make the neck pockets tighter. If someone bumps the case on stage the guitars want to fall out if the safety strap isn't hooked... Don't believe me?? Go to 1:55 and look at the red guitar...
acording to the website it's 144kg, that's a bit on the hefty side.. 65lbs that's not 144kg...Gator get it right.. it's 29.7kg very close to the 35kg overweight limit that's over here in europe and scandinavia.. but with that said.. looks like a sturdy case.. oh.. how are the wheels? The ENKI case got crap wheels. if you got an ENKI case swap out the wheels it came with with some wider skateboard wheels, and you're good..
Gator makes heavy duty stuff period
Yep all my cases are from Gator, I have about 8 of them. You can always trust them to keep your stuff safe
This is pretty cool, I remember when everyone was having these style cases custom made, The silver ones, they were pretty expensive even then.
Scott Dixon cases!
Very cool! Yeah, a bass version would be neato.

I appreciate the fact that you left the first part of your off balance fall. haha
Really appreciate the honesty here. Been using the Enki for a bit now and was curious how this compared.
Which of the few brands u used was ur favorite? Im really psyched for the quantum mkII
I just picked one of these up and it is by far my favorite of these mini vault cases!
Ive been at the Show in Leipzig and I cant wait to see you again! This was so fun!

I have a a gator Icon gig bag and it’s the best quality. I can only imagine this product is made just as well.
So, my headless basses fit in a standard guitar gig bag, so I reckon they would fit in one of these too.

IKR? we V users need some love too lol
1:45 watch out maaaaann
3 guitars you're back over 50lbs 😮😊
So did you have to check it? How would it do in the baggage hold with suitcases piled on it?
I need the bass version but I am sure it would probably tip the scales over 50lbs. Also RIP BCRich, V and Explorer owners. I am looking forward to what Gator comes up with. I am kind of obsessed with cases. The struggle is real especially with oversized basses.
With two basses in the Enki and nothing else mine is under 50lbs. The Enki wobble is so bad, though.
Gator makes solid gear!
A bass version would be so welcome!
UPDATE! Bass version is now available!
Cool! Seems like a cool product.

I'll be all over this when they make one for explorer style bodys.
Great Video! Did you have to pay for any oversize luggage fees? Or were you able to check it in normally? just picked up one myself. Thanks Fluff!
Pretty cool!!!I wonder if you have multiple ones if they'd kinda latch stack on top of each other???
Thanks Fluff.
Just bought one because of this video. cant wait to get it!

I ordered 2 thanks Fluff
Any extra packing steps pre-flight? I just bought this and it seems like the guitars can flop all
over the place in the case.
oh man... I have that money leftover from a bonus. Dang. I've had a lot of Gator. I need this in my life.
I would love to have one of those! Might buy one!
Would it fit a Majesty though? The fin may be too tall.
great video would it handle multi scale 7 or 8 string guitars ??
I was literally eyeballing these yesterday . Lol heck yeah
Everything I've seen on this case demonstrates it operating under normal conditions. What happens to the guitar headstocks if the airline drops this top down? Do the guitars risk hitting the top of the case?
Do you think a Lespaul with Bigsby suits in ?
Could you perhaps put one guitar in a good gig bag (reunion blues or mono) in this ?
I’ve been wondering about these. We had the Dixon cases when I was in Etid, the wheels blew out pretty quickly and they were super dented, then hard to close. Easily trashed. Hmm. Might not work with two Travis Beans weight-wise.
I wonder if these will fit short scale basses
Ah the Enki wobble. Many a twisted wrist while in too much of a hurry 😆
will it fit a small acoustic and a 355?
But would it fit a shortscale bass like a Mustang or Musicmaster? (42.5inches)
I love my gator case!
Looks awesome !!
Would it do a 335 style?
Under 50 pounds I’m happy but I wish it was 3 guitar case :D anyway cool review 🤟🏻
I love my gator stuff
interesting cases
wish they would make one for V and explorer types
if they made one of those that would hold 3+ maybe 4 ( i know thats stretching it a bit )
they would make bank
only option for V or EX type is the enki but that only holds 2
i seriously need one for my dean v that thing is massive even bigger than my jackson concord and i feel like im really draining the bacnk having to get a case for every one i own that are "extreme " shapes

I like my Enki but the front access is something that bothers me. I need this one real bad
Does it fit an es335?
These look really good. The specs say they weigh 21 lbs. Either their understating the weight or you have some really heavy guitars.
They have been tweaking the weight since I shot the video.
What about a 335?
The 2 complaints I have about this is, They went about 6" higher than my headstock even is in the case, and when my strats are in it and the lid isn't on the guitars flop all over the place. The neck cutouts on the top are way too big.

It’s a great case period. No need for a guitar stand
I have two of these and I'm not a fan.. The gap above the headstocks is a little ridiculous. Should have tsa locks
Cool case but I would be seriously interested at a price point under 500.
🔥
Thanks for the review. Now I'm waiting for somebody to throw one off a roof. Not that that will ever happen irl but for science.
Ryan Burke is the guy to do that 😂

Buen invento
you didnt even mention the interior the most important part for expensive nitro guitars...
If you have a buddy that owns a Dodge Challenger (not Charger) can you see if the gator or even ENKI fits in his trunk? Asking for a friend…..it’s me.
I heard "guitar boat"
I'm gonna be honest, i thought you were gonna hit it with your car or something at first to prove a point
3 guitars would have out you over the weight limit. :/
Way too many latches though! Way more risk of getting wrecked on flights.
Like 666 🤘🏻😎
It looks fecking ugly. They could have done better...
First
I like it but I'll hold out for a 3 guitar version if it comes out . I always take 3 with me to play .
