    Products like wood candle holders are more eviromental-friendly and are great to sell as a set. Highly recommended for wedding or valentine products.

    Love me some candle drama (the competition haha!)
    I'm a PrintedMint gal, but I will probably move to Printify (platform), because it's much easier to use. The candle is just one product (4oz, 9oz, Clear, Amber) while on the PrintedMint platform they are 4 separate products.. :/ probably will utlize both though, I think shipping for multiple may be a bit better on PM website, as well as bulk orders get some discount!

      That’s what I was thinking too! Printify actually is easier because you don’t need to set up and link 4 separate products. Kinda crazy that printed mint made it easier in Printify. Definitely pros and cons of both! I like PM customer service a ton

    I'm struggling to justify $25 for one candle. I certainly wouldn't pay that... not sure many clients would. I hope I'm wrong.

    • @MegitRain
      @MegitRain  Місяць тому +2

      Totally hear you. You could play around with pricing. Technically speaking $19.99 and free shipping would be profitable, but just barely. I think adding personalization really helps justify a $25+ candle because folks can’t just pick one on those up from TJ Maxx for $10. Plus these ones actually have no dyes in the wax and are hand poured so that helps with the value proposition a bit as well!

      Exactly. 25 for a candle and make 15 k a month doing it is outrageous

      I know it sounds crazy but it's true I promise! Here is an example: www.etsy.com/shop/MoonwicksCandles this shop has done 17k orders and each candle is $22-$25 plus shipping so they have done over $425k of revenue in the last few years

    I would really like to add candles to my shop as they'd go really well with other items I carry. The big problem I have is so many others have stated that you need to carry insurance in order to sell them due to them being flammable (and I assume hazards that customers can cause with them). I know so many shops that sell them and make large numbers of sales, but what are your thoughts? I wouldn't even know where to get candle insurance so I haven't moved forward with them. Thanks.

      I’m not a lawyer and this isn’t legal advice, but I wouldn’t worry too much about this. Companies like Printed Mint offer hazard labels and care instructions that should limit liability, but again this is not legal advice ☺️ thanks for watching!!!

    So only 10 scents? That means we will all be selling the same candle but different labeling.

    • @MegitRain
      @MegitRain  24 дні тому

      Yep. The buyer would get to choose which scent they want with the customized label you make. All hand poured in the USA too and all natural wax :)

      @@MegitRain And this is profitable? We all are selling the same thing. It would be different if we as the seller got to choose the notes in candle from top to bottom. That way, it would all be unique

    • @MegitRain
      @MegitRain  17 днів тому

      Yes still very profitable! Typically around 20% profit margins. I love the idea of more of a hand crafted shop that sells custom fragrance candles as well. That would just entail you actually creating the product which would take more time and resources, but I think you're right and would probably be much more profitable! Thanks so much for watching!
