Another classic, when I worked in TV Control we had BC1 to monitor the sound - beautiful speaker with an almost majestic look. Sadly only a single speaker and it was TV sound only. The BC2 aren’t a speaker I’m familiar with but again they look great. 👍🏻
The stickers on the B&W DM4 are more than likely factory Matt. They all had them. My DM2A have them as well. It was like a QC label I think, to say they'd been tested/checked/calibrated.
Yep, in West Wales it's been a bit wild again. Ground is totally waterlogged. Wow, anchoring that tinsel wire with goop like that really puts more strain on it. Bad idea. Fair size magnet compared to what I remember of my long gone BC1s....Beautiful job as usual...
@@mfr58 Yeah the glue doesn't help the tinsel wires at all. The BC2 woofer is much better in my view to the later ceramic BC1 units. Yes we've had tons of rain and flooding to. Nightmare weather. Stay safe.
Great video thanks. Very interesting to learn how you fault find and fix problems. However when you do impedance sweeps on the tweeters face down are you loading the domes and altering the characteristics?
@@gordondyer6310 Correct. The were measured face up later. The super tweeters were done face up. Honestly the difference given the tiny signal is nothing
Love this content as they say, and seeing the actual run through of what you do so well. Robert says 100% marks
Great job, really nice to see these good old speakers from the inside.

In Germany, I live near the German border in the Netherlands, sometimes the BC3’s come up for sale. Did you ever encounter those?
@@JK-rt2jj Never had a pair here but heard a pair a few times. Big sound. 12inch slot loaded woofer. BC2 midbass. HF1300. HF2000 super tweeter.
