Definitely not the best app because it depends what kind of wood you have on your neck and the body of the guitar the strings you use and what kind of pick ups you have and the model of Guitar. Just had to comment this. Not interested in watching the video. Just wanted to let you know how to think about it before you label your video with incorrect info.
Great sound and it is also my fav amp in the helix, for use in a live situation in a 2 guitarist band how would you dial in a good crunch, drive and lead setting that would suit many styles of music? Do you use the global eq settings at all for live as i find i need to bring the high cut down a fair bit but not as much for a clean sound as i like that guitar sound of acdc and greenday as it cuts through well which i find teles do well at anyway but les paul styles not so much. I dont really understand the sag, hum, ripple settings in the helix but i tend to turn them down as it seems to be a bit flubby sounding. Ive had the helix about 3 years and im still trying to.get the sound i really need for a live setting. Would you go Mono or Stereo for live as im Stereo at the moment but not panning hard left and right but more so about 10 o clock and 2 o clock. Cheers Andy
Thanks, Andy! I usually use the global EQ only if I feel that I need to boost or cut something on the day of the gig. For the live sound, I didn't play any gig after the 3.5 update because I'm focused on my channel and other projects, but I think the 3.5 update really improved things on helix, but whenever I play I usually go mono. I'll make a video about the crunch, drive and lead tone at some point, so I can share the parameters and explain. Thanks! 🤘🎸🚀🙂
I think the Helix is now a very powerful and easy to dial up modeler. After these updates. You have a great sound and play very naturally. And your presentation is laid back yet firm. Thanks and all the best to you.
Agreed! It's one of the easiest, if not the easiest, modeller to use. And every update it gets better and better. Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate your kind words. Thank you!! 🙂
Awesome tone and i agree i fell in love with friedman in helix , just purchased the od be pedal for my amp set up , its a beast also , knocked my riverside right off board , great preset here and hope you stay healthy
Thank you so much! The Friedman in helix is great, and after the 3.5 update it got even better! I really wanted to get the OD BE pedal and will probably get it this year at some point. I’ll be posting a video showing the preset I put together for the Sabbra Cadabra cover I posted last week. Thank you take care🤘🙂🚀🎸
I have seen many many guitarists in my life and it's became difficult for me to be amazed by some. You have something special in your phrasing and overall playing. You're in the same leage as Rabea Massaad or Chris Buck, i mean you have your sound that we all can associate with you. Great content mate! I've never clicked subscribed this quicker.🤟
@@wevguitars1 It's a pleasure! By the way what are the pickups in that Tele ? Is it a US or Mex? I plan to buy one soon and this video hyped me on my GAS 🫣🤣 Sounds so great! Sorry if my english is wierd, i'm from Québec and french is my first language.
@@Music.is.my.Fuel. no problem man! Perfect English 🤘🙂! My tele is a Fender Tele Performer USA. The pick ups are original and they are called Yosemite. This tele performer is great. I played on a professional the day I went to buy it, but the performer spoke to me more. You should definitely try one out.

Very cool, thanks. Simple to follow, nothing to download.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!!

I have been enjoying the Placater and the Mark IV. Both are really close to the originals.
The Placater is definitely my favourite, but I've been using a lot of the line 6 original models too.

Hi Steve, you probably just need to update it to the latest version.
@@wevguitars1 what update version do you have? I have : ver. 3.71.0
You always made the stock cabs sound great, even before they were updated. But now it's 🔥
