KingShoter007 Well, I'm pretty sure the judges weren't pianists, either, but it's about how good it sounds, simple as that. Most people here praise the kid because the music is from a game they like (and because he's a kid, I get it, but children can learn things much faster than adults, and I assume he's been practicing for years). I mean, you can probably tell I like Touhou, too, but this arrangement wasn't very pleasing to listen to. Not discrediting the kid's hard work, though.
I don't enjoy this in the context of passive listening, but as a performance and technical display it works very well. That's... what a talent show is.

+TheGamingEssence hardest song in the world? while the fact he managed it is impressive, and very talented, this is nowhere near the hardest song in the world. In fact, based on the simplicity of it, the lack of the need to move the hand in complex patterns make this a very easy song to master given time to practice.
This kid is probably in his late teens / early 20's by now. This is such a good cover and he did it live, I wish we got to see what the judges thought about it
This comments section should be enshrined somewhere as the most UA-cam thing to have ever existed. The way some of you managed to condescend only by using piano buzzwords and name dropping easily googled titles of other irrelevant compositions is awe-inspiring. You managed to show dozens, maybe even hundreds of people that you're piano experts without having to prove it, and you tricked them into thinking that it mattered in the first place. You made yourselves feel superior by putting down a fairly harmless video about a boy and his piano, which I think we can all agree is what the internet is really about. Please stop being so damn cool. I honestly don't think I could handle it if these were your respective peaks.
At first I didn't believe that he was really playing the song at all. But paying attention to the keys really solidified my belief he really did that. Pretty gutsy move for someone on national Norwegian tv
I respect the hell out of that guy. But assuming that this took place roughly 5-6 years ago, he might be a bit older than me. I’m honestly curious what other Touhou Song can he play other than UN Owen and Flowering Nights
The fact a kid that young can play this is impressive, both because it's obviously a VERY hard song to play, I mean just listen to it, but also because that means he's aware enough of Touhou to have put in the time to learn the song, meaning he's probably played a Touhou game before... it's no freaking wonder his hands are fast enough to play!
The main question I have is why they didn’t give this kid a concert full grand piano? That looks like a piano that you would use to practice in an enclosed room.

TUM Ikr people say that his timing were off and he missed a brew notes even though
A) he's a kid get over
B) they probably don't even know how to play piano
Why so much hate? Its quite impressive for a kid playing this. I bet half of you guys can't even play the piano
keep up with the good work m8
Winicrow arrangements dont have to be authentic bud
I personally dont care. A Touhou song is a Touhou song! And it made it on Public Television.

Great performance! He looks like he's having so much fun through it too!
as a touhou fan i would absolutely do anything to meet this kid. so goddamn talented
What the hell is wrong with all of you, people!? This kid's amazing! It's his own version, it doesn't have to be exactly like the ones you like. He did an amazing job. This song is hard, you know? A few mistakes are ok, but overall, he nailed it.
Ike ITS A TEN YEAR OLS KID PLAYING ONE OF THE HARDEST SONGS IN THE WORLD
+TheGamingEssence hardest song in the world? while the fact he managed it is impressive, and very talented, this is nowhere near the hardest song in the world. In fact, based on the simplicity of it, the lack of the need to move the hand in complex patterns make this a very easy song to master given time to practice.
+Emily Evelin I said one of them
+Emily Evelin Also, it is based on what I have seen not you.
@@emilyevelan6121 I need your video playing this please pretty please plzplzplzplz.
That kid is cultured
If anime is the definition of culture to you, how does it testify about yourself and your own nationality?
@@Tycini1 what does touhou music have to do with anime in ANY WAY LOLLL
THE PEOPLE THERE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GREATNESS THEY JUST WITNESSED
The kid that plays EoSD: i see you are a man of culture
Legend says he was locked away for 495 years practicing.
0:54 *HEY, AN ALIEN!!!*
How to spread Touhou all over the cube globe
This kid is probably in his late teens / early 20's by now. This is such a good cover and he did it live, I wish we got to see what the judges thought about it
Bet those guys have no idea what he is playing lol
Too bad so many notes were missed but it was absolutely impressive.
(also we got mainstream guys)
SO BEAUTIFUL
I see someone’s been learning from the Prismriver Sisters.
I can hear touhou fans are screaming of joy
Right here, and I'm proud
you can feel the Piano hitting you like bullets For an U.n.known reason
wonder if Zun was watching this show lol
I literally cant figure out how many weeaboos are shitting on this boy in the comment section. He played his own version.
xXEmoTrash14Xx lmao true all these asshurt weeaboos getting mad because he didn't play their " waifu's " theme song right.
+Nara Inb4 anyone who actually has Flandre or any character from EoSD as their pfp or waifu is 95% most likely a poser who knows nothing about Touhou
@@ultrafaroecunt6014 very true
This kid can play touhou songs and im over here trying to get a fucking shiny magikarp.
I am crying, this is beautiful.
At first I didn't believe that he was really playing the song at all. But paying attention to the keys really solidified my belief he really did that. Pretty gutsy move for someone on national Norwegian tv
AWWW YEAHH MORE 2HUS ON TV. Flandre will be proud.
ppyporpeem I like how people think it's pronounced "Toohoo / Tuhu". xD
AniGa - Anime, Games & More indeed lololol it's truly amusing :D
Playing touho music for a talent show, absolute mad lad
This kid! Playing one of my favorite songs. Brutal to play. Well done! And Bravo!
love it.
i love this kid
I respect the hell out of that guy.
But assuming that this took place roughly 5-6 years ago, he might be a bit older than me.
I’m honestly curious what other Touhou Song can he play other than UN Owen and Flowering Nights
Considering your comment's competency, I wouldn't take you for someone younger than the performer here, but hey, you learn something new everyday huh?
Um, do you expect him to write a whole resume
beautiful
absolutely epic
The kid just looks like he's having a grand ole time
The fact a kid that young can play this is impressive, both because it's obviously a VERY hard song to play, I mean just listen to it, but also because that means he's aware enough of Touhou to have put in the time to learn the song, meaning he's probably played a Touhou game before... it's no freaking wonder his hands are fast enough to play!
and the start of the song is 5/4 tempo
The main question I have is why they didn’t give this kid a concert full grand piano? That looks like a piano that you would use to practice in an enclosed room.
