    For your next project mix pigment in Part 2 first. Don't use a power mixer as that reduces your working time tremendously. Use short nap roller. 2 coats maximum. Pour out whole container of mixed product to spread it out as fast as possible, the more you leave in the container by volume the faster it will get hot and start to kick. Never mix more then you can apply within 10 to 15 minutes.

      Your company is the best I bought this because of him. The best thing I have to say is have a good sanded clean surface I also used Por-15 cleaner degreaser and Por-15 Metal prep. I used it for my 1973 Sears 14 foot Aluminum boat, I put 2 coats on.

    I was in 5th grade when this album came out. They did a cover of the 70's song "Come on Feel the Noise" by British pop/rock group Slade. I saved my money and bought the Record. Other tunes on the album that I loved as a kid ... Run for Cover, Slick Black Cadillac ... great Album. Slade came out with an album not long after Quiet Riot hit with their song. Check out Runaway by Slade.

    Thanks for making this video. I just picked up an old Bassway 1848 jon boat and am thinking about coating the bottom like you did. I already tightened the leaky rivets and am about to repaint the wood transom next.

    The corrosion pitting from the trailer bunks is usually caused by pressure treated boards. The chemicals react with the alum. Only the regular boards should be used.

    Great job. if you would like to make the job go faster steel wire it , that works great. and remove all the stuff off the boat first, and mix the color in the pint and mix it up first it, then add the harder and finish mixing it. that will give you a little more time to work with.

The thing is got to remind who ever does the sand blasting they need to remember you can NOT blast aluminum to hard or you will loose hull thickness as aluminum is very soft lol.

    Before you put that on. Did you have any cracks were rivets are. I bought a Bass pro 15ft tracker jon boat in 2010 2012 plus I'm running a 15hp mercury 4stroke.i used boat to install boat lifts all over lakes in oklahoma so your talking about putting around. Well this year I'm not installing lifts.in tje years ive owned this boat ive put flex seal paint bottom & inside jb weld on a crack it held for a little bit. Now I'm scraping the flex off the bottom cause it's flaking away ive noticed around rivets thier is cracks oh ya also a weld in the seam has a big --- crack about 8 10inches long. I guess bass pro is cheap on boats but they are exspinsive.im not sure how all this has happend to this boat from pushing lifts. I'm talking trolling speed.

    like Bondo, if you want to slow the curing time just use less hardener. in addition, the chemical reaction will be much faster if you are mixing on a hot day.

    • @Samuria87
      @Samuria87  2 роки тому

      If you do not use the correct amount of hardber it will not cure correctly, if you use to much it will over cure causing it to fail later .. yes temperature has a lot to do with it

      Blake Sanders I just watched this today. I see you replied to Tim Commerford’s question about being out on the water a year ago. May we please have an update as to the status of your boat with a video of it on the water. In this video, you said something like you couldn’t believe someone hasn’t done a video like the one you were doing. Every video I watch about fixing Jon boats/aluminum boats, no one ever shows the boat out on the water to prove their handy work is what they claim it to be. I’m not hating. I’d just like to see if your method really works before I go ahead with your informative video. It was a great video
