  • In this DIY video, Mark applies the Fasco Super Slick epoxy bottom paint to his Lowe 1236 Jonboat. As you can see at the end, this bottom paint makes it glide over even some of the sketchier obstacles.

    Swamp N Stomp is a channel or vlog, whatever you want to call it, dedicated to helping the hunting community grow, specifically in Florida. Studies show that the majority of modern hunters had family members who raised them as hunters, and a large portion of non-hunters want to hunt but don't know where to start. By documenting our hunting adventures, making instructional or tutorial videos, and really anything-hunting-related videos, we hope to help bridge that gap by providing practical information for beginner and experienced hunters on how to become a better and more ethical hunter. i’m thinking of putting in a coat on the bottom of my Jon boat , which I grinded down to bare aluminum, but I was also thinking of maybe putting a coat on the inside bottom, which has a coat of paint my question is, do you think if I just scratch that paint with 80 grit will the steel flex will that adhere to it or do I need to take that down to bare aluminum also?

    • @SwampNStomp
      @SwampNStomp  6 місяців тому +1

      I wouldn’t worry about paiting the inside. It’s not affecting the performance of your boat, and aluminum can’t rust so what’s the point? Seems like a lot of work for nothing. Steel flex requires adherence to bare metal. -Mark

      I wouldn’t want the inside of my boat being slicker than a minnow’s peter. It’s an accident waiting to happen.

    Does the pigment come with the kit? Or did you have to buy that separately?

    • @SwampNStomp
      @SwampNStomp  Рік тому

      You pick the color you want and buy it separately for a few bucks. -Danny

    Was there any leaks in the boat before and if there was did it seal 5hem up afterwards?

    • @SwampNStomp
      @SwampNStomp  Рік тому

      No there wasn’t. If it’s a small leak I think it would do fine but if it’s a crack I would fix it before applying. -Mark

    You think one pint is good enough or 2 is better i have a 12ft also thinking of doing it too

    • @SwampNStomp
      @SwampNStomp  2 роки тому

      It was more than enough. There no benefit to do it thicker and you can’t layer it anyway

      I’ve run it into a lot of stumps and rocks. The rocks will scratch it a bit but for the most part it’s all there and still super slick. It’s worth the time and money!

    How is the Super Slick 2000 Epoxy Bottom Coating holding up?

    • @SwampNStomp
      @SwampNStomp  4 роки тому +1

      I have drove over some pretty stupid things and the super slick doesn’t care... I have another video where I do a speed test and you can see me drive it over a log that basically took the whole boat out of the water. Not a scratch! Thanks for watching, don’t forget to subscribe! -mark

    How is it holding up? I literally just bought a 12' project jon boat to turn into a mud boat 3 days ago. I was researching bottom coats and saw this.

    How slick is it? Have can you push it off the trailer or on flat ground? I’m trying to decide between this stuff and gator glide. Thanks in advance for the input

      It’s called a long tail or a mud motor. You can buy the kit from Swamp Runner and fit whatever motor you like to it. Personally I have a 13hp predator motor from harbor freight. - Mark

    Man that was a good video. That was cool watching You do that work. You did a very good job man. It was also awesome to watch you do it in flip flops. The flip flops is the only Footwear that I can wear because i have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE wide with very very fat wide toe that are equally straight across making my foot 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to the lil toes. my foot out grew tennis shoes 33 years ago so there's no shoes , sock , or boot that's wide enough for my foot. The flip-flops is the only thing that were barely and I mean barely fit my foot because my toes are wider than the flip-flop straps. It really really sucks having a very very extremely wide foot that is 6 1/2 inches wide with very very fat wide toe that are straight across. I wish my toes were at a 45 degree angle like everybody else toes that way my foot would not be so wide. I also like your tattoos man those are awesome. Great video man thank you for sharing.
