I was headed to the mail box at grandmother’s house up hill trekking in my snowshoes when out came a polar bear chased me home. Running as fast as I could but all he wanted was my coke cola brrr 🥶. Love the ending story.

When I was a kid, the Christmas tree always went in the corner of the living room that we all passed by on our way from upstairs to the kitchen. It was an old, drafty house, so in winter, we always slept in flannel pjs. My mom would put so much tinsel on the tree that you had to be careful walking past it in your pjs - you'd pick up half the tinsel from the dang tree with all the static electricity from the flannel!
Mom never let us do it because she didn’t want to vacuum but I’m so excited you’d think I was ten. Heck I never vacuum anyway. Haha
Oh that's so funny! I just remember I'd start out putting just a few strands on at a time and then get bored and start putting it on in clumps.

Congratulations! I love all the wool appliqué you do. That’s one craft I never learned how to do. Sharing stitchy tools was fun. I love counting pins. I ordered some on Etsy. I looked at them and decided I could make them myself. I have so many beads from when I made bracelets years ago so now I make them for me and my best friend. She, in turn, made us very cute pin cushions out of quilt fabrics. I love you two. Happy Thanksgiving! Mail
Hi Barbara. So nice to visit with you again. Thank you for your sweet comments. I dropped it off at the framers yesterday and can’t wait until it’s done. I’ll be sure to share. I love all the counting pins also. I have bought some but mainly I make my own. I purchase corsage pins on Amazon and buy beads from Hobby Lobby or Joanns. I like to use the Gorilla glue with the brush. I turn the pin upside down then brush on the glue then put on the bead. Once it has set I put them into a piece of styrofoam. They are so fun to make. Have a great thanksgiving and eat all the good stuff. ❤
@@linnieisenburg520 we buy our counting pin supplies at the same places. I use E6000 glue applying it with a toothpick. I love making them. 😀
Do you make scissor fobs too. They are fun too. I don’t use the wires. I make the shorter ones
@@linnieisenburg520 I bought all the materials to make scissor fobs but haven’t been motivated to make them. I’ve watched videos that show making them with the wires. What are the short fobs? I’m not sure I’ve seen those. I do love making counting pins though.
Linnie I have one more question for you. I was pushing my mop around the kitchen, wanting to be stitching. I’m about your age, a year younger I think so I’m retired as well. How many hours a day do you stitch. You get so much done. I call,it quits at 11 pm or I’d stay up all night. What is your stitchy time secret? Thanks!

Hello Roberta & Linnie, I hope you both are enjoying a fun, family filled Thanksgiving, such gorgeous treasure finds and the antique store, I love finding old sewing paraphernalia, I have never had cause to wear snowshoes but I bet Santa is a natural, I love to stargaze and follow the polar star with my telescope.
Isn't it fun to find these old sewing treasures! I just love learning more about the history of how they were used. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well!

Always look forward to your flosstube! Roberta, I eat like your husband, no or low carb - Keto. My husband doesn’t. I don’t cook 2 separate meals I just adjust. If I’m making beef stew, I cook the potatoes & carrots separately. We’ve made it work for over 6 years now.
I'm hoping he won't always have to adhere so strictly to this diet but yes, I just did the same thing with a Mexican soup I made.

I just bought a Lowery stand from Steph at Lindy Stitches. I stitch in a recliner and none of the other stands I have tried work very well. The Lowery stand is working like a dream. It can be used with scroll rods, Q snaps or hoops. I'm 75 and prefer stitching with scroll rods because they don't wrinkle your fabric. Snow shoes, mail, polar bear

Just got back from Autumn Abundance. I’ve been gone for a month. I’m tired! I’m spending the week resting; it helps that we’re having a rainy week. Thanksgiving for us is a wee bit smaller this year as four of us will be attending the egg bowl! The rest of us will have just as much fun and food! Happy Thanksgiving to you both!❤
Lucky you! All the photos I've seen from the retreat look so awesome. That's a lot of traveling! I was ready to come home from our cruise after a couple of weeks but could probably go for a month if it included a retreat!

About you travel light cord, get a spool and wrap your cord around it, use a “peel” or velcro loop to keep it in place. This will help keep the cord in good shape. You can also get some fish tank air hose and split it then position it over the end that attaches to the light to help keep that end from bending and the wires from breaking.
