- It's a song that left a deep impression on me.
When I found out it was going to be included in "dawn of the dead unreleased", I was nervous until the CD arrived at my house.

Yes, this one (in particular) always had an effect on me too. It's hard to describe. Kind of a hopeless feeling (isolation)
the group was bored of the mall (at this point).
There's just a sadness and a "what's next?" type of feeling... the world is in tatters from the zombie apocalypse...
things will never be the same, we're on our own... what will tomorrow bring...
And then, there's just the time capsule effect of this song... it transports you to the 70s... a different time.
The technology, the stores, the attire, the mindset... Something nice, and genuine about that...

I feel that this music begins with anger and resentment that contains sadness and emptiness.
In the second half, her usual sunny morning comes as if nothing had happened.
I always feel like I'm trapped in a sad feeling.
You're right, these are very difficult to express...
George referred to the film as a "satire on the consumer society".
At the mall, they had whatever they wanted, but when it became commonplace, only boredom remained.
It's also interesting to note that the zombies "habit" to gather at shopping malls several times in the movie.
As you may be feeling, we may be glued to this movie because it overlaps with the real world we live in.
The music in this movie is also wonderful.

So true. Yet, the sun comes up... the birds are still chirping, and the daylight reveals the zombies still wandering about... and the tension/boredom/,anger-resentment is just a footnote in today's news. Those feelings you had yesterday... belong to yesterday...
the desolate world around you (and time), moves on. This movie truly is "Dawn..." in so many ways. Dawn of a new day...

Perhaps, for some reason, people who spend a lot of time in the world alone will be able to feel this movie more deeply.
I was fascinated by this movie as a child, so I may have experienced "dawn" without knowing the usual "morning".
But I am grateful to George for waking me up early.😃

It was probably an instrument that was released before I was born and was used in that era, so I didn't have any trouble hearing the notes, but it took a lot of time to reproduce the tone of the instrument. I did.😉

Fantastic Cover!... I've often listen to this part of the soundtrack since watching the extended version of Dawn of the Dead. That part of the film.. really speaks the tone of what the three felt, after the passing of Roger... They still have the mall, big enough for them all... yet, they still feel lost, trapped, and feeling that sense of hopelessness-- And this tone of music playing during that time period for them in the mall just shows that no one's free from what's happening...

I think the void had begun.
I think Romero left a comment that this movie was an antithesis to the consumer society of the time, but there is a depth that cannot be expressed in one word.

I came across this movie for the first time in 1982, a little after its release, when I was six years old, on a late-night TV broadcast.
Even though I was a child, I was convinced that it was a masterpiece that I would never encounter again.
I keep buying the remastered versions that keep coming out, and I'm still obsessed with this movie.😀
@@Time1019 Someone on youtube did a color correction of this film. But it was just like a 2 min clip.
I sure wish they would hire some big studio to digitally color correct and color the blue zombies grey (where needed).
This film is such a great story, and never gets dull... i just wish they would give it a facelift (in terms of cleaning it up) and
making the blood and zombies look more dark, grey (giving the proper flesh tones).
But even without any changes, it's still a fun ride of a film, and my favorite Romero film.

As a result, a certain color is emphasized or attenuated, etc.
There are so many different types of film that you will probably find a color you like.👍
I also remember seeing "Grey Zombie".
I think it was probably the early VHS version or the TV version.🤔

yeah, you can feel the passage of time by looking at Fran's stomach.
I felt that this movie teaches us that even if we obtain safety and luxury, we cannot overcome emptiness.
@@Time1019 also, the loss of Roger... had it's impact on them. Like, "we conquered this mall, have everything we could possibly want, but at what cost?"
I could imagine, being in that empty mall. Having a hideout, fully furnished apartment, access to tv, yet nothing to watch... no broadcast... access to countless stores, food items, and electronics, home furnishings... all you could ever want...
But, knowing, this is likely it... the world (as we know it) has fallen apart... we're on our own, here, stuck in this mall, and what seemed like paradise... has become their prison... (and the loss of worldly outside human-interaction... has even impacted their relationships and moods towards each other...)

The only hopeful thing about this movie for me was Peter's humanity.
This movie brought us "worst awakening",
but at the same time, I feel that it taught us how to live as a human being.
It's a really great movie.

@Time1019 it does indeed fit the landscape perfectly. Adds a completely bleak and hopeless element to the scene. And of course the Rhodes sound is perfect of the time. The 1970s!
@@pfmdude yeah! Rhodes is great. When I compose, I still use the piano or Rhodes to create a foundation, and then start arranging it by replacing it with other sounds.
The 1970s was also the year I was born.
Although there is no direct connection, I feel happy that this is the era when good musical instruments were born.😀

Goblin's song better expresses the appearance of a world where zombies are multiplying, but this song expresses the inner world of people, which I really like.
@@Time1019 it's one of the best sequences in the movie showing how the 3 survivors are going through the motions of life, but not really living anymore.
