Ned Luke really captured the ethos of the late Baby Boomer dad perfectly. My father is Michael's age and it's nuts how perfectly Luke nails the demeanor of that type of older guy, and the writers likewise got his tastes spot-on
Its kinda like how Tommy Vercetti was when he bought the Printworks and started working with Ernest Kelly. Its hard to believe that once upon a time these hardened criminals have a soft spot for something akin to an honest days work (As far as honest can go in the GTA universe). And just like Tommy when Solomon got roughed up that made Michael go full tilt psycho. In otherwords you dont fuck with the main character's role models xD

But it backfires Devin because Michael is more than willing to do Solomon's dirty work and cancelled the condo project because the movie was made so well
Solomon and Michael mashup extremely well together. Solomon is a kind and smart old man who just wants to make sure his movies come out successfully. Michael is the complete opposite in every part except for the movie and smarts part. He wants it successful too. He’s also pretty intelligent for a crook. Either way, Solomon is in a position to easily drag in Michael to do whatever the hell he wants even when his orders but ensures that the orders aren’t too dark that Michael ends up spiraling out of control.
I love how Soloman goes "Is that an option? -No" dude has no idea who he's actually becoming friends with at first but he immediately is on board. ...He had three secretaries for a reason though to be fair
