the fielder coming from second base could have gotten out of the way easily, he just did it too late. This isn't a problem with the rules. The runner cannot run outside the basepath (3ft) to cause the interference without being out himself, so this is ALL on the fielder being lazy/sloppy.
it doesn't matter who initiates contact, the fielder has no right to be in the base path. If the runner runs outside the base path (3ft) before making contact then the runner is out for running outside the base path (line from the runner to the base when the tag attempt begins)
1,000,000 IQ Moment. He deserved 3rd base.
What would you say about the runner's lane rule at 1st, and the likelihood of a split first base?
softball first base makes so much sense.
Best part is Berti is from Michigan and grew up a tigers fan. His dad played for tigers.

Do you have a video on running the base paths for beginners, coach?
Great question. Glad someone is interested in that. I will make some asap. With that said, what is it specifically you want to learn?
Wow. That was really heads up running. Taking this to my little league team for training. Baseball IQ!!!
I think you got a little lucky on that one. 😂
I don't lnow much bout baseball, but absolutely looked brilliant 💪🏼
It looked like the runner initiated the contact. Do they review those plays?
The runner can initiate the contact. If the fielder does not have the ball, he has to avoid the runner!
Doesn’t matter haha runners path
