I absolutely disagree about "tradiitional" baseball fans not liking this. I'm 68 and the mosy old school baseball guy there is..........and I LOVE this "game" BECAUSE they are GOOD players....And its like the Harlem Globetrotters..........ALL basketball fans love them...
We saw them last year in Mobile and they were amazing, one of the reasons I began watching baseball content on YT. They dress a little baby in a banana costume and hold it up like baby Simba while all the players kneel around it.. we were howling with laughter, it was one unexpected moment after another on top of a pretty good baseball game. 10/10 would see them again.
Just saw them for my birthday last week. Did not know where I was going as it was a surprise. My daughter got the ticket track started 7 months ahead of time as every game is sold out. It was AWESOME!! They have spoiled regular baseball for me. They are so good and such a joyful fun time. Can't wait to go again!!
My friend and former coworker is their current manager. They are so so much fun! I love traditional baseball but I didn’t go in expecting that and I had a blast at the couple games I was able to see.

As a Savannah resident, I can tell you that the games are SO much fun! And they are really good players. And the Party Animals (Jesse's other team) are awesome to watch too. If y'all get to Savannah, it's well worth joining us at Grayson Stadium. Where else can you go for $25 and get free parking, drinks, food and a 2 hour (max) game.
Here’s just a cool story, it’s about the Globe Trotters. I was about 10 and my Papa(grandfather) got him and I on court tickets for the Globetrotter game. Before the game, a guy came over and said I would play the first game, a game of musical chairs. When the time came, there were to many kids and I was sent back, but I was told I would get another chance. 2nd half rolls around and there’s a break in the game. One of the Globetrotters was fouled and had to shoot a free throw. He walks over to me, no way. I go out and I shoot the free throw. It goes up… and I FREAKING MISS. But I tell them I have butter on my fingers and if I get another shot I will make it. They allow it and I SWISH THAT SUCKER. They decide to give me a prize. I get the freaking game ball. After the game they all sign it. One of the coolest days ever.
Baseball isn't boring. The issue is that the corporations that took over and sucked the fun out of the sport. This team just gave the finger to that and showed that Baseball isn't like that. Cause let me tell you, in the big leagues. There are players with some personalities and team traditions that are fun. Yet, the league banned them all. Before long, won't even have music playing during the game. Maybe a bit of an exaggeration. But, never underestimate the lengths corporations will go to; A: Make money. B: Suck the life out of a product until there is nothing left.
I don't know if this was true back when you originally made this comment but I heard they left the Coastal Plain League to play Banana Ball exhibition games full time.
Oh God, No Shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ! There'd more than one Microchip blown if that ever happened! My cousin lives there and we went to a Banana 🍌'z game back in 2019 n had a ball!
I absolutely LOVE this! That they exist, and they are making baseball a riotous party that everyone can enjoy - no matter what the score is. Thanks for bringing them to my attention!
If you have the chance to, do it. Book in advance though because they are always sold out. Their cheerleaders are retired older women… they are called the Banana Nana’s. It’s a whole experience!
When I was a kid there was a traveling baseball entertainment team called The California Cuties. It was always a hysterical and fun game to watch. That was in the 60's. This looks like a great event to attend. So good to see antics and sports combined!
So um ... haven't seen them yet but my partner and I love what they are doing so much were taking a week to go down and see them play next year. We are going to spend over 3k to watch a team nobody by me has ever even heard of and I want to turn everyone onto their style of play. It's so engaging and fun! I literally cry at how awesome this is.
You will have a blast I mean it's just an older Stadium not much to look at looks like my High School stadium but a little bit bigger but what goes on you're going to love it I mean from start to finish the whole thing what do they say fans first Entertainment always and Jesse does provide that
I have been a banana fan since 2019 AND IM FROM FLORIDA AND LIVE IN FLORIDA! You don’t even have to be at a game to have fun! They live stream every game and It’s amazing that they could make boring baseball from home into a fun entertaining game!
I just got to see them a few days ago when they played the Macon Bacon in Macon. They’re a great baseball team and play really well, unfortunately their antics don’t follow them on the road so that was definitely disappointing. Don’t regret going though because they do play great baseball, I just hope I can get tix to see them in Savannah soon.

They are a throwback to the travel teams of the early 20th century. May see more teams like this being formed because mlb cut the number of draft rounds and minor league teams
I just watched for the first time last week when they played at Minute Maid. It was a blast. But the one at LSU was waaaay better. When a batter starts his walkup music lip syncing in the crowd at Baton Rouge, and sings Callin Baton Rouge! Are you kidding me? These guys should have a prime time show.

The Bananas have had 8 players go in the MLB draft last season and 10 this season. So, it’s not just for fun… they are moving up as well. 🍌
So there better then College and minor league players?

It needs to be a full blown league. Maybe each division is named after the largest crop from in that division.
Cotton 🌚
Nebraska cornholers.
The owner made the rules by looking up the things people hate about baseball and eliminating them
He also went around to college players and asked what they didn't like too.
The final rulebook was hashed out in an all-night drinking session of Chatham Artillery Punch.
Good news! 👍
