hasn't fixed my problem but its given me direction in the steps I should take. atm im dealing with a whea logger ID:18 and its been such a nightmare. all i did was install a new cpu and and swapped a sata m.2 for an nvme. next is bios update and windows clean install. If not then I guess im calling a technican.
My PSU fan broke, tried another psu fan but I think I could have damaged the psu as the 2 wires (red and black) position was switched in this fan, I was sleepless so I didn't notice until I already tried it, the fan didn't work but nothing weird happened at the moment. I decided to attach a case fan to the psu and the problem started, pc restarting every time I opened a game, I just used SFC Scannow and changed the fan position, instead of taking air into the psu, its pulling it out. The problem seems to be solved, its been only a day, but I was having constant restarts, and after using Scannow, there has been none. The reason I decided to use Scannow is because when the fan broke, I tried to fix it multiple times, tried a different fan and of course had to start the pc to check if the fan was spinning, this probably caused windows files to suffer some damage, tho I was completely expecting this to be a real hardware issue.

@@jonathanvioleta3578 as I learned, the problem could be ether with psu, gpu, ram or hard drive. Sometimes even with some of them at the same time, because of psu dies, it can take some part with it. Try replacing parts
@@artemkeller2571 I guaranteed that's PSU, RAM and HDD are not the culprit, although PSU is sometimes is a traitor in this kind of issue.. but i used, replaced and buy a new one of the same brand of my recent PSU just to be sured..
If this video doesn't fix your issue, you may have a faulty or weak power supply. Alternatively, your gpu may not get enough power, or draw too much from the pci-e slot.I suggest replacing the psu
Did nothing to my PC. Can't even remember the last time I installed anything on it. Put this build together a couple months ago and haven't done a lot on the computer at all. It's been running without issue the entire time. Starting today I just randomly had this problem while watching a UA-cam video in Chrome. It did it again a few hours later. Paranoid/frustrated it's going to keep happening. So dumb that nothing has changed yet now I'm getting a Critical Error for no reason at all.
same, thought i had figured out the problem by unplugging the hdd because i had no crashes for 2 days then it just happened playing red dead. kind of annoying and its probably my mobo which isnt even a year old. should have sent the garbage back. it was missing ram clips and multiple of the sata ports didnt work :/
Is it still happening? And if not, did you find a solution? I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure this shit out. I've just done the 'fixes' in the video so will not know if it's worked until my next Blue screen lol. Weirdly, I get this problem when the PC is just sitting there with nothing happening or if I'm watching youtube etc. When I'm gaming it NEVER blue screens... it's so fucking weird.
@@varnissh1945 Never really figured it out...or at least not all the way. I ended up taking it to a repair shop after it started Blue Screening non-stop. Eventually my PC wouldn't even be able to boot into windows/would freeze in BIOS. He tried my RAM on a different rig, and it also wouldn't post. So I ended up RMA'ing my RAM. Got the new RAM and it stopped the blue screens, but now my PC would just freeze up randomly every day. I bought a new SSD and we tried installing Windows on that, tried a different Power Supply, and he tried a couple different types of RAM he had. Nothing would stop the freezing. He thinks it might be either the CPU or Motherboard, but he didn't have another AMD processor or board to test them. So I'm currently RMA'ing my CPU and MB, waiting for new ones to be shipped back. If that doesn't solve the problem, then I will be completely dumbfounded. All parts will have been tested or replaced at that point. I'm running an Asus B550F Gaming board and Ryzen 7 3800. One thing that did kind of help was removing the Asus "Armoury Crate" program that installs automatically on the MB. It didnt stop the freezing, but it would happen less often after uninstalling that program. We tried different versions of BIOS too, didn't make a difference. Even when the Blue Screens stopped it would still say "kernel power error" in the reports, after freezing. I'm assuming that it isn't actually the problem, but since Windows stops responding/have to force shutdown it will pop up with "kernel power error" regardless of the actual issue.
@@5ch3nk Jesus christ what a hassle.. I have a lot going on in my life at the moment and that on top of work, managing relationships with family/friends etc its just a total fucking nightmare. I go on the PC to relax and unwind, play games and the like and at the moment it's not relaxing me nor unwinding me but just causing headache after headache. I have a feeling based off WhoCrashed which details the most likely culprit as being a NVidia related driver that perhaps my GPU is dying, and, given the current market prices for GPU's (thanks China), I'm gonna be screwed. It's just so confusing to me because it never crashes/ blue screens/restarts when I'm playing games or doing something heavy on the hardware, it just does it when I'm chilling on UA-cam or talking on Discord etc. Pain in the fucking ass. Anyway, had my ramble LOL. I really hope you can sort it out eventually.
@@varnissh1945 I feel ya. It's beyond frustrating and not something I want to be dealing with either. On the plus side, if you do end up having to RMA anything it's not too bad a process. Most annoying one was sending the CPU to AMD, as their instructions aren't as clear cut and they want tons of pictures of the chip. Once you get the part sent out though you feel relieved of stress waiting for the new one to be sent back. I still need a GPU for my rig in general. Was running a Nvidia Geforce GT 710, which can't really run anything...I'm using that card in my old rig right now, my only GPU currently. It's working fine on this PC though, so not a GPU problem on my end.
I have this issue with my laptop. It turns off or restarts abruptly while gaming. I'm sure it's not the heat issue because it even happens around 60C.(But doesn't happen if I'm using power saving mode even at temps as high as 87C). I did a complete fresh windows installation and updated all drivers but the issue persists. It doesn't happen when I use power saving mode though. But it almost instantly happens as soon as I switch to Balanced or High Power mode. Even if I try to copy the advanced settings from power saving mode to balanced the result is still the same. My laptop is over 2 years old.
I'm definitely NOT a computer tech but it sounds like some common sense is pointing out an old power brick to your PC and/or old battery or even maybe an undervolted wall outlet. Sounds like your laptop is power starved. I think I might be facing this problem myself. Just bought a new tower, not even two months old yet but I live in an old motel with old wiring because my old tower (Old?!? it was barely a year old) power brick was flashing orange. New tower... point blank reboot. I believe I need to try another outlet on a different breaker and hope the power doesn't fluctuate as badly. Fluctuating power is your PC's worst enemy. Thing is you pc is barely getting enough power to run and soon as you push it? Loses enough power that the system fails as 'other' parts suck out enough juice from the CPU, it simply for a moment stops running and a moment is all it takes.
@@ShivaMurary Could be, it's an educated guess. I've had to buy a couple universal power bricks for some of my old laptops myself but that was like 6 plus years ago. Since I started using towers, I like the fact they usually have twice the performance for half the price, downside? They are not mobile. Though usually your laptop should warn you, mine did. Can't remember exactly what it said though, it was a long time ago. (3 towers averaging 2 years a piece) so least 6 years. My clue was once the battery was charged, laptop ran great but battery was getting old too as it discharged too quickly and the power brick couldn't charge the battery as the laptop was running. Once I got a new power brick it ran great again save the battery was STILL crap. The down side to a universal power brick? They were $80 at the time so they are not a cheap solution either. It would be nice if you could borrow one to test if that would get your old laptop back to great running condition. If your lucky, maybe you know someone with a universal power brick.

@@vladimirron1955 Well, I have a total of 12gb system memory with a 8 gb corsair vengeance stick and a 4 gb unnamed brand. @@reportingcheaters3691 I don't think malfunctioning ram will "kill" your motherboard. Have you installed your ram in the correct slots? In a four slot motherboard, you usually install the sticks in the 2nd and 4th slots. Check your motherboard manual as well. Try running memtest86 for stability (no errors = good ram). If possible, use a different system and then check the ram with memtest86. If nothing works, then as you mentioned you got a new motherboard, it might be that your ram is faulty.

Hej Brian thanks for the video I do not have this problem but saw that you were inside the, device manager which I also have used a lot before to checking updates for some drivers. Starting with Windows 10 version 2004 (Build 19041.423), Microsoft has quietly disabled the option to update drivers in device manager over the internet. what happens is that it blocks the device manager from connecting to Microsoft servers over the internet. So you you must use the settings app for this now. But completely agree with you Brian I usually go to the manufacturer for my various drivers it is usually the best way. I use intel update assistant, then I also have nvidia graphics card i use nvidia geforce experience application on my computer for these drivers. just wanted to tip about this that the device manager drivers updates is now managed by the settings app i Windows 10. Microsoft has also changed the windows 10 update history where the various different updates end up on the history page. it was a long answer Brian but just wanted to share this with you maybe you knew this but some users probably do not know this. @unimpressively_charmingi have this issue now, what should i do in bios, could you help me please, i have ryzen 5 5600
i have reset down the whole computer and still keeps shutting down randomly
hasn't fixed my problem but its given me direction in the steps I should take. atm im dealing with a whea logger ID:18 and its been such a nightmare. all i did was install a new cpu and and swapped a sata m.2 for an nvme. next is bios update and windows clean install. If not then I guess im calling a technican.
This did not stop my error from happening. Only happens when opening a game though. Quite annoying.

Hello, are you suggesting it is OK to Install ALL detected drivers by Snappy? (e.g. Realtek High Definition Audio ?)
@@jamesloll4601 So I need to get a new charger? It couldn't be the house because my desktop which is several times more power hungry works fine, so..
If your lucky, maybe you know someone with a universal power brick.
mine crashes on best performance and high performance every time only works on energy save

Take care Brian and keep uo the good work.
