had the same issue on my old rampage v extreme. bios update cause it to randomly shut off too. something funky with the anti surge support thing in the bios. they ended up releasing one not too long after and disabled that feature. general rule of thumb now is to not fix what isnt broken. still on bios 0224 with my maximus xi formula lol. everything is rock solid.
I have the same problem here, I already changed the power source and nothing. I am believing that there is a certain frequency of screen of death (kernel-41) when I use chrome
my pc only restarts when the CPU is at 100% usage constantly, when im using engine called Unreal Engine 4, and it uses 100% cpu usage for everyone when its shader compiling. So im guessing that the kernel power error i get is cause of my CPU but i have no idea how to solve it.

When I noticed this error. I did all the fixes nothing worked. Checked my bios cause I recently updated. Smart Fan for my pump was not enabled. But the cpu fan was. So in my head I wonder. i have tried many different solutions, and at this point i have no idea what to do.

Do you have any gadgets that shouldn't be there ? Like a 6pin or 8pin adaptor?

So what your saying is "It could be anything"
This happens to me every once in a while, my pc doesn't restart, but it freezes and the only solution is to restart it pressing power button. Interesting thing is, it doesn't happen when I use any emulators and games either, but whenever I use Microsoft Teams and turn on/off camera and screen sharing or other people does it, it happens.
Bad driver most likely
had the same issue on my old rampage v extreme. bios update cause it to randomly shut off too. something funky with the anti surge support thing in the bios. they ended up releasing one not too long after and disabled that feature. general rule of thumb now is to not fix what isnt broken. still on bios 0224 with my maximus xi formula lol. everything is rock solid.
Preach it!
Great insight
I have the same problem here, I already changed the power source and nothing.
I am believing that there is a certain frequency of screen of death (kernel-41) when I use chrome
my pc only restarts when the CPU is at 100% usage constantly, when im using engine called Unreal Engine 4, and it uses 100% cpu usage for everyone when its shader compiling. So im guessing that the kernel power error i get is cause of my CPU but i have no idea how to solve it.
I have the same problem (41 Kernel-Power). It appears when I do nothing on the computer. After about 5 minutes it freezes and a hardreset is needed.
IF YOU STILL HAVE THIS ISSUE AFTER UPGRADING YOUR PC CONCIDER THIS ~~~~~~
Its a power error. So its probably your power supply. If you have a dedicated video card, try to apply a -10% clockspeed. If that helps, and you dont experience these again after applying this underclock, then your pc is draining too much power from your power supply henceforth you need to upgrade your psu.
@@lydierayn This is not power supply problem, I bought a new and more powerful power supply. The problem still occurs. There is something wrong with turning on the computer. Other strange things are like this. 1 during the first boot (after the night), when the computer was connected to the terminal (not directly to the socket) started after a few attempts ... but if I connected the computer directly to the socket in the wall, the computer (after the night) immediately started. 2 still freezing occurs but only at the beginning of operation / use of the computer ... 3. After a few starts of the computer, everything stabilizes and you can use the system without a problem ... nothing hangs, even after leaving it for several minutes. I will add that the drivers for all devices in the computer are CURRENT, the registry has NO errors.
It turned out, after all possible actions found on the network, that two (out of four) RAM memories were faulty. I changed them to new ones and the problem disappeared but did not end ... problem 41 Kernel-Power still appears in the event log, but the computer starts without a problem, even after not using it for a long time, and does not freeze at all. The power options are set to "high performance" and "sleep disk" to 0

Guys..my pc always shuts down when i start to play a game. I'm not sure what is the problem. When I checked the event viewer it says event id 41. Which means this kernel stuff. I tried every method. Still the same. I'm getting frustrated day by day. I can't even play old games such Fifa 10 or even Bully. It's maybe because of my psu? I'm using it for 4 years. My psu is Aerocool af650. Is it something to do with my psu? I checked my cpu temps. It was quite okay. My cpu temp holds at 50c to 70c when i'm gaming. Maybe it's my graphics card ? You need a new power supply. Your power supply isn’t giving your components enough power to handle an intensive task, such as gaming.
Make sure to get at least an 80 plus bronze efficient psu.
It's weird that I only get this problem playing MapleStory, A decade old game, but I'm totally fine running CSGO/League of Legends/Halo/Street Fighter V all on max. I tried almost everything, but nothing is working. Everthing except a full wipe of my PC.
porygonL how long has it been since you’ve done a fresh install?
@@KDSTech Maybe 2 years.
I usually do a fresh install about once a year... it’s crazy how windows can build up a bunch of conflicting files. It might be worth your time to do so.
@@KDSTech I'll try that out! Thanks.

I have tried all windows related solutions
Haven't checked psu yet
Does bios update have anything to do with it? My bios is outdated
I would update the bios. It is possible that could be causing the problem.
It could be, if others are reporting the same issue.
For me, it was as simple as increasing the power limit in radeon settings.
For me lowering the ram frequency has improved the stability. Everything else wasn't helpful.
Okay, so here is how I managed to fix the problem I had withy PC
It's a
R5 2600 (stock)
RTX 2060 super
B450 MSI mortar
16gb (8*2) 3000 MHz Gskill tridentz
550w PSU which I replaced with a 650w PSU
So, one day while I was editing a video for UA-cam my PC crashed, both my displays went black, my CPU fans were still on and running at a slight higher RPM than usual
I looked at the event and had this exact same event ID error
I took it to the shop where I bought the components from, and after hours of testing I changed my PSU to 650w one
Went home started working and it crashed again after a day
So each time it crash there's this ez debug light on my motherboard and there's cpu, vram, etc and the CPU faulty indicator kept flashing
All my components were under warranty so I decided to send them all out get fixed
ie, Ram, Processor and MOBO
So if you guys don't know what to do and you have the same issue as me
Try getting a RAM from a friend and test your PC with it,
It could be your RAM, and if that doesn't work try a processor, try on a different motherboard
This issue will happen if you have a faulty RAM, processor, GPU
So try and test your rig, if it's under warranty find it and get it replaced
So is this issue most likely caused by a power supply? I keep getting this error, and I've had my power supply just under two months now. It just recently started doing this when I added some Uphere fans into my pc case for cooling.
For me lowering the ram frequency has improved the stability. Everything else wasn't helpful.
glad to hear that did help.
I have noticed that as well. When I disable xmp profile or decrease frquency from 3600 to 3200, the system works flawlessly, but whenever I enable x.m.p 3600, I will get random "power cut-down and reboot".
