I was looking for a review on this the other day. A wonderful weapon. In my opinion, it's one of the best options a TR medic can go with when choosing something for medium-long range engagements.
EcchiRevenge lol... if you have 30 rounds in your magazine and lets say 10 would be enough to kill the guy, then you have still left 20 rounds to overpass his healing from the medikit! but when you miss half of it, then its your problem, sorry...
Cruze 30 rounds and only kill with 10? What are you, VS? The point is that people caught with their pants down can pop medkit and not die from indecent exposure in the open.
I've found the suppressor works really well in towers and biolabs. The hip fire at medium-close is absolutely lethal and aimed fire works well to steadily eliminate players while minimizing focus on you.
It's a very solid weapon, just not a must-have in any of the faction's arsenal, imo. Whether it's in an allround or mid-to-long range role, each faction has already good or better equivalents available. It's still a perfect Directive completion and veteran skill weapon though: The great handling makes it a pleasure to Auraxium and great for honing your headshot skills.
Its a must have for my medic. I tend to fight from extended ranges firing between and over the heads of allies and the ns11's accuracy make it perfect.
ArQuL1 For an allround NC AR? There's nothing wrong with the Gauss Rifle or even a Reaper DMR (if you're more of a Gauss Saw/ AC-X11 type) imo: Good enough at ranges while still delivering suffice DPS upclose. NS-11A is only great as an allround if you have excellent aim to make those headshots count.
I see this all the time, and I realized that you're right about it not being a front-lines weapon. Most of the times I'm killed by it, I didn't even notice the person who was firing because I was engaged with a much more immediate target.
I have the platinum variant for the NS-11A and in my opinion, it is the best all-rounder Assault Rifle in the game. Most of the time I run with a forward grip, soft point ammo and a 1x reflex. Even without a laser-sight, the hipfire is still great. The main features I adore about it are the high accuracy, high velocity and the orgasmic audio signature. I tend to use it at any range as a general purpose killing machine. That being said, another great review Wrel.
Hey, that's a neat tip on flash suppressors and easy handling NS weapons. Daytime in Hossin taught me to love the flash suppressor where nighttime in all the other continents couldn't.
It's nice, but the problem is Since I have like 5 different assault rifles for my TR medic, I have one for every situation, or style I want to play with that day. NS-11AP is a good all around weapon, but I'm always more into specialized weapons, since I can use skill to compensate for their niche role.
That fight against Vulthrak @ 10:03 is exactly what I like to see. You're a mean player, Wrel and that's exactly you were left standing and he was lying on the floor. It was up close, personal and brutal. I've been trying to get better at that shot-knifing technique when I find myself literally up in someone's face like that.
Wrel What key do you have your knife bound to? Mine's bound to my scroll wheel click. Another thought: I have the NS-11P and it's really good & accurate. I just feel weird and under-powered whenever I play medic. I don't find myself racking up many kills like I do when I play Light or Heavy Assault.
Been using this for the past few days, I'm pretty happy with it. As an NC it gets to be a bit of labor to control the recoil on most our weapons, when you just want to play a little more chilled out and go for headshots, this makes life much easier. You're not competitive indoors, but if you're past 30 meters, you have a decent advantage against most players. I'd say the A-Tross would be the next step down in controllability, it's basically your go-to long range option. The Reaper DMR is an oddball that really is gimped because of its magazine size, It's a great gun but very hard to use it at its intended ranges because you run out of ammo by the time you've started getting enough damage down range, where as the tross is going to easily finish off targets.
if i remember correctly i picked up the NS11A back then solely for the +5 rounds per magazine. imo this is a godsend for VS/NC medics! i also love the gun's design, feel and sound. i am always using it with ironsights, sound suppressor, forward grip and softpoint. also like you said it's a solid squad support weapon which can net you a lucky kill while all other teammates are shooting the target but cant finish it off due to their inaccurate high-firerate weapons
I got this weapon for the summer reward thing you did a while back and i gotta say, it shoots easy, i haven't used it much but i have always liked it allot, ima use it tonight as my main weapon i think.
I knew this day would come.... C, M, now A.... Let my love for NS spread! Enjoyed the review from one of my favorite NS weapons in game. Fairly easy to get used to for newcomers. Even better as you get used to for Head Shots as a vet. which can easily carry over to the other NS rifles due to the recoil and range. So i always tend to get my buds to use this before heading off to any other NS gun as i scream in there ear saying " HEAD SHOT PRACTICE YOU FOOLS! YOU WILL NEED IT LATER!". So basically you got everything dead on
Everytime I watch your videos and see how accurate you are it astounds me Wrel. I've played with my sensitivities over and over and played the game for two years practicing my aim. (consciously practicing alot too, not just playing and hoping my aim improves over time). And after all of that I can never hold my aim even close to as steady you do. It's truly impressive. To the point I think my hands are broken hahaha. Hats off to you good sir. On topic, I dislike the NS-11 because it functions completely against my playstyle (close range, aggressive, first one in). That being said, after training myself to back off and skirt the fringes of a battle at a longer range, this weapon was a beast. The accuracy was amazing, but the rate of fire is in that perfect place where you aren't completely gibbed in close quarters in a pinch (like the corvus for example). It's a great all around weapon with a nice reload and magazine. It's a very forgiving weapon. While you may not win many head to head dps fights, in every other situation its a solid reliable weapon. Kind of a jack of all trades master of none weapon (even though its great at range). Even 2 years later, this weapon is a solid all-rounder for new players to try after their default weapon.
Good allround weapon, very good value/cost raio, my first auraxium back in the day :) Definitely recommended for newer players because its ok in any situation, also fun for more advanced players who love the .75 movementspeed and headshot capabilities, and know how to take advantage of that
Thanks for the video, Wrel. I know the gun has been out for eons now, but I'm still a causal player that might as well be considered as "new" and it's nice to see a video dedicated to a tried-and-true weapon with up-to-date facts and numbers. PS2 is hard to get into with staying power, but I'm trying hard. I'm excited to see growth after the PS4 version releases. Maybe dive back in and learn how to control a ESF. :)
Farming is always a two-sided affair though - there are those doing the farming and those letting themselves become crops. =) If it's a one-sided affair and there aren't any likely reinforcements incoming anytime soon, just leave for a better fight and let the farmers stare at spawn room shields. At some point they'll probably figure out that it's really boring not having anything to shoot at and leave for a appropriately sized fight. If it was during an alert, it's a bit of a different matter - dumping 3 platoons to take a territory is a pretty surefire way of getting it, unless the opposition is similarly organized. When time matters, you just gotta' do what you gotta' do. This is probably one of the important lesson for newer players - you don't have to fight every fight.
I love mine. I have yet to get to the point of adding all the extras beyond the scope, but it is my default medical assault rifle. I wish I could get it on my light assault or engi.
Just auraxiumed this gun (and found it great). My recoil compensation is okay but not amazing, so I found forward grip and compensator the loadout that was best for landing those head shots and making the weapon work for me. Going back to the cycler TRV is a real change of playstyle, but I'll get over it. For the TR medic, I like the NS-11A for when the TORQ-9 is almost always going to be in its minimum damage range, but I haven't played with the SABR outside of VR yet. 3 more Auraxiums to the T1A Unity!
AJloverftw32 What are your 5? I'm doing TORQ-9, NS-11A, Cycler TRV, /something/, then the basic cycler. Unsure at the moment as to whether I should forge ahead with the TAR or just go for the SABR or Cycler-S.
Stephen Perrins I've auraxiumed the T1 cycler and the NS-11A. Im doing the TORQ-9 and the burst fire cycler (the burst fire one is actually really good) ^^ then I need to decide on the last one.
I love the NS-11A (P in my case). However, my kit for it has always been Foregrip, HVA, compensator and 4x or 3.4x scope. It is such a stable-firing weapon with high muzzle velocity that picking off enemies from a distance with it in this kit is incredibly easy. Since I used this weapon mostly when I was new to PS2, especially from an NC angle I did not at all consider the viability of hip-fire although I've now learned. That said, I never hip-fired the NS-11 or used it all that well in 1-on-1 CQC duels ... because, well, its not suited for it. Its a stable-firing gun, which is a very good thing to have. Doesn't waste bullets.
I find suppressors to be the ultimate attachment for most guns, as the people I tend to play against are hyper-aware and not broadcasting my location when I shoot is a must, regardless of any other factors. Because I never show up as an enemy on the minimap, often I am able to kill 2-3 people before they catch on that there's too much fire originating and hitting something behind them, which gives me a good 3 seconds after I start firing to get some kills and run off. By the time they come to this realization and start acting, I can make a break for it, or if I expect I won't survive, swap to my sidearm and try to take a guy or two more with me.
+Mahir Tahseen Actually, I regularly play HA, infil, and medic. I've been using LA more often, but carbines aren't really my thing. I don't like engie much. I have to play it til I aurax my tank mines to get the ARX C-4, but after that, I don't think I'll play engie too often.
You haven't tried out AXC-11 have you? It's PERFECT for LAs on rooftops, and Suppressors, whilst not ass good on it, is still fine if you can compensate for the bullet velocity. Suppressor on Medic doesn't really make sense to me (no offence) because you're going to be behind YOUR front line, so it's better to use Compensator (especially on this gun, I have no idea why Wrel discarded the Compensator for this gun) so that you can help pick off more, since the enemy probably have a general idea of where you are.
+Mahir Tahseen Well, the suppressor for AR's in general does make sense for any area where you're expecting to have to fight multiple people at ranges around 25m or less. The lower velocity isn't too punishing, and the advantage you get of not being located via the minimap is VERY useful in avoiding the enemies in the area being able to jump you all at once, as the moment you stop firing, they no longer know your location. However, without it, they not only know precisely where you are, but they also know which direction you go in after you finish firing and they can still see you on their radar.
I've used this weapon for 14.000 kills, and to me it's still the best weapon in the AR arsenal. There's just one reason to it; I'm a pretty accurate player, which allows me win fights with heavies 1 on 1 in CQC on live (and if I'm having a good day in scrims as well), even with this gun as a medic. Therefore I don't need a better CQC option than this. On top of that you stack one of the best med range stats on that of all AR's (my favorite range to fight in) and you just have one hell of a gun that beats people in Live support play, as well as in Jaeger play. Also, for people interestend in competitive, you often have to play other factions for scrims. This is where the added benefit of the NS11 being common pool comes in. Opponents struggle to use other faction's gun which they have bearly used, while you use your favorite gun. +I
This game was so much better off without NS revolvers. NS pistols should have been high velocity low damage pistols with carbine range, not secondary sniper rifles. I like how they balanced the Black Hand, but the Commissioner and the Underboss just feel overpowered when you use them.
GunFuMaster 7 burst with each 2 shots. But if you miss some shots with the NS revolver, you have no chance anymore.I prefer secondary weapons like the Spiker or desperado.
On an unrelated note - i've tried 3D vision in planetside and iron sights work extremely well in stereo. Much better than scopes tbh. If anyone ever gets a chance to use nvidia 3d vision or an Oculus Rift go and try it yourself, it's really awesome for aiming.
Wrel you've really made me want to play PlanetSide 2. :D you've made me get over my rage for it. All the stupid bullshit that happens. I just turn it into moments where I jump around making turkey noises running towards a tank! :D *flops around like a fish* I want more videos! :D please?
The NS-11A strikes me as the type of gun that you pick when you don't know what other gun you want to use, especially if you're in a squad and are there more for your Heal/Revive than you are for your damage output. A fun and solid weapon, but one that suffers from the NS trademark of being pretty okay at a bunch of stuff without being deliberately better at any given thing than an ES alternative.
Best use for it I've found is for areas like tech plants or amp stations where the fighting can go from long range to CQC pretty quick. Sure beats finally bringing the fight inside only to be stuck with the A-Tross...
VoughtF4U1A The .75 ADS speed very much goes along with what you're saying. Good transitional weapon because despite the accuracy at range, being able to strafe and feel mobile at the same time gives it a nice indoor feel too without being excessively OP.
NS-11P was the first AR that I auraxiumed. Always had a fun time with it. Personally, I liked it better when they had NC reflex scopes on them, but what can you do.
I have over 4000 kills with my NS-11a, and it was actually the first weapon I ever bought in PS2 back when I first started playing the game. The last time I used it? This morning. I love this gun that much, and it has carried me through so many fights its not even funny.
Kraken, yes, ARX C-4, no. I don't use the Kraken out of respect for those who were working on earning it, however. It's purely cosmetic, so it doesn't need to be reviewed (but may be showcased some day.) I've almost got ARX C-4 unlocked myself, however. Looking forward to throwing those at people.
For me as a casual player, you can "feel" the accuracy of this weapon; even in longer bursts. the recoil pull to the left is rarely noticable. Generally: to improve headshots with any kind of weapon Daybreak should give players access to their headshot-rate and NOT their headshot-kill-rate in the statistics. Nice Vid Wrel.
Interesting that you use it in a hipfire closer range weapon. Personally ive always used it at a reliable medium/long range with the compensator and for-grip. As an NC player i find that there are a couple of great CQC ARs available so ive never really wanted to use the 11A for that role. (Can hardly remember the names of any of them so youll have to take a look) But then this is my play style, im almost entirly ADS so hip fire rarely crosses my mind unless im taking certain specialist weapons for CQC.
Personally I like to run with 3.4xLACO/Compensator/Supressor(in rare cases)/Lasor and High velocity even though softpoint on this gun is pretty good, i personally don't like softpoint. Mostly using it for mid/longer range shots and in cqc i generally hipfire.
I don't ever use this is CQC if I can help it. I tend to use it at long range with a compensator, forward grip, and 3.4x red dot. I've shifted to playing vanu more frequently, and I'd rather use the starter or H-V45 for cqc.
"Incredibly solid" is the right way to describe that gun. In general, i think the NS-11A&NS-15 tend to paint the other 652/143 guns in a bad light as they are relatively overpowered compared to them, yet those 2 feel properly balanced. It really makes me question the implementation of that damage model on the likes of the CME, Bull, EM1, etc... In this particular case , UB attachments aside, the NS-11A renders the Equinox VE2&CME superfluous on all accounts but 1st shot recoil. By the way, speaking of first shot recoil, the NS-11A's isn't all that bad at 0.66. That's so-so for ARs, but compared to other auto primary gun categories, it's pretty decent. I really like how LS makes the NS-11A transition well from CQC to medium range, and how you can make the same platform a very range-optimized gun with a compensator, optionally with HVA. That's one of the reasons the NS-11A is perhaps my favourite gun in the game (VS viewpoint mostly), at very least in my top3. The NS-11C is much weaker on 2 key aspects to be at the same level (non-HVA muzzle velocity and no hipfire CoF bonus).
Wrel, I'd like to hear your opinions on the new NS44L Blackhand pistol. Personally, I think that it tries (unsuccessfully) to be a medium-to-long range weapon.
Wrel what primary do you use for your light assualt TR class, I am a level 16 and don't know where to go as far as a new primary, I like the trac-5 with a 1x reflex and grip. The only problem with the trac-5 is that sometimes I will be shooting an enemy in the back and empty half a mag into him but he still turns and kills me.
Do you think there are any faction specific weapons that do what this weapon does but better or if not are there comparable ones or what keeps them from doing this job? I don't really know too much on how to tell what i'm looking at when i look at weapons. Have you ever made a video, or do you have plans to make a video on how to tell from the numbers what a weapon would be good at? if you don't, do you know where i could look for help on that matter? Long story short i can look at numbers and have a general idea about what it does but I'm not good at transferring numbers to practical.
I remember I got a platnum NS-11a from gamestop, but that was I think 3 years ago. Now I hear that the game changed, and was wondering if my account, characters, and unlocks are the same?
Hey Wrel, can you please review the newest Nanites System weapon, NS-44L Blackhand? I was wondering if grinding for this gun was worth it. The weapon seems to be like a sniper rifle, but for your secondary. Therefore, I am wondering if the gun is any good at those desperates spray and pray situations when you have no ammo in your primary and need to change into your secondary. Anyways, thanks for all the amazing videos you have posted. Regardless of what they were, my KDR and points per hour.
Hey Wrel, I was nearing 1000 certs, what would be a lot more effective and useful? The Anti-Vehicle Mana Turret?(I play engineer quite a lot) Or cert into a vehicle/class?
AV Turret is amazingly powerful, but is a bit difficult to use if you don't have a sensitivity clutch on your mouse (a button that'll lower your mouse sensitivity while it's pressed.) Even so, having AV Turret unlocked is practically essential for the Engineer class, it's well worth the certs.
My turret payed for itself within a week, but that was at the beginning of. The recourse overhaul when vehicles suddenly became dirt cheap. I still use it often as my anti personal choice as well. It is like a rocket primary, but with infinite ammo! Still waiting on a anti air turret, but I can keep waiting.
I love the gun. YES, the empire specific variants are better(in some aspects) but this is always my go to if I dont feel like it. The recoil pattern is a little bit weird but its not hard to control and exploit.
IMO, HVA should increase bullet velocity by 10% and increase recoil by 5% while extending damage ranges by a flat two thirds (66%, or 15 vs 10) at all ranges, instead of soft point's bonus, which degrades over distance. This way high velocity would be a serious competitor to soft point. ON THE NOTE OF ATTACHMENT BALANCE!; Foward grip should increase equip time by 0.15 seconds, as well as reload by 0.1 seconds- maybe also a trait like aiming down the sights faster than without. Laser sight should visibly point directly in the middle of where the crosshair would point, disables the crosshair, as well as remove benefits if turned off, where you are left to estimate where your shots will land if it is not activated. If it IS activated, it extends 1 meter from your gun and is visible to everyone, which can give you away. (I'm trying to come up with downsides for every attachment, so a weapon that isn't decked out is still viable in it's own way). NO UPSIDES WITHOUT DOWNSIDES. Also, a clean-up of the current ironsights would be helpful.
You mentioned a burst variant of a weapon during this review, and it reminded me of a question. For VS weapons, there is one called an Equinox, and then there is the Equinox Burst. What is the difference between these weapons?
Wrel Not yet, no. Drathamus used to tweak visuals though, but he's been too busy to make videos lately otherwise I'd ask him. I've been a bit absent as well due to my wife being hospitalized and other stuff. I'll get back to you on this.
Would you recommend this weapon? I still use the Pulsar for the Vanu medic, and find that I can nail people from any range because of its accuracy. Would this be a viable alternative or should I just stick with my Iron Sight, long range beast of an assault rifle.
I'm kind of bothered NS-11P (Summer Sale platinum version) doesn't count towards auraxium assault rifles. It's filed under "Special" or wherever the holiday stuff is.
Can you review the Terminus VX9 for de Medic? I'm thinking about buying it but I don't know if I should spend 1000 certs on it. As for the NS11A, I don't use it regularly because it has not enough stopping power when I have no allies around. I actually like the NS11C, for the LA. I use a Forward grip and a compensator and it becomes a beast when you do, most accurate thing I have fired in Planetside 2!
This was a fun review to watch, so thank you! I have the NS-11P myself! I watched this with your previous NS-11C review in mind. In that review, you recommended the compensator over the flash suppressor with the rationale that "when it comes to dealing with targets at range, your cone of fire is your biggest enemy, not the weapon's recoil". The NS-11A has the same CoF as the NS-11C. And their recoil stats are very similar. Would it be fair to say that your barrel attachment recommendation for the NS-11A now applies to the NS-11C as well? Or does the surprisingly high value of HVA on the NS-11C still, in turn, justify equipping the compensator instead?
As you said, HVA is a big deal on the NS-11C, and the increased recoil is mitigated by a Compensator. Back when that review was out, I probably would have run the NS-11C with a compensator in most situations, even without HVA, but now a days I wouldn't mind bringing the weapon into close quarters with no barrel and a laser sight. As I've gotten better as a player, my mindset has shifted a bit. Still not a setup I would recommend to newer players, given that there are, indeed, better weapons suited to the role... but hopefully my recommendations are only getting more accurate, instead of detached from what most players will find useful.
I don't know what we open to go for with my VS medic class. Ns 7 pdw or this? I generally play close quartets but I can find myself in long rang firefights. I am starting to lean towards the SMG now.
Theunexpectedgamer4267 id say go with the pdw, you can hit things at longer ranges with it - sure you wont be a killing machine but that isnt the point of the medic anyway also it will work for all your classes unlike this weapon
Theunexpectedgamer4267 I've got both and like both. the NS-11P (the promo plationum version) and the NS7-PDW. And both are very enjoyable to play with. The NS7 has great range for an SMG, but the NS-11 has just this bit more range. I use the PDW mostly on Infiltrator.
Wrel I think the default NC1 Gauss Rifle is such a solid weapon overall that the NS-11P (I too got one of the platinum edition) hasn't made its way into my regular arsenal. I havent even silver medal'd the weapon so I have no clue. If its as good as you make it look in this vid, I might have to work on a kit for it.
Wrel, I would like to ask you a serious question, i just started the game, and i would like to play with my friends as a combat medic, i already maxed out the armor and the suit ability, but my medic gun is only rank 4. i would like to buy a good weapon for this class, and i would like to hear you opinion on this. I am from the VS faction ( if this matters. ) Thank you! :)
Since Wrel didnt reply, I can give you some tips: Max ur your medigun at first! Maybe( If you want to) buy a reviving grenade. If you are playing on close quarters, stay with your standart medic rifle, if you are on an open field, go buy the NS-11 A. Have fun :)
TIL i am garbage with this weapon. I have not been able to compensate for the lack of vertical recoil since i finished auraxing my last TR carbine. Im used to having so much visual recoil.
"Im not getting shot at, my shield are still up, and my health is full! Better use two medkits anyways..." -Wrel 2015
8:58 I love how he even stops in the video and is like, "Now listen here you scrublords"
LordMatt48 He's actually just typing in the chat.
FinestSeven I figured, but it' perfectly timed nonetheless
I was looking for a review on this the other day. A wonderful weapon. In my opinion, it's one of the best options a TR medic can go with when choosing something for medium-long range engagements.
"this makes it much harder to put yourself in a bad position" ohh don't you worry, that is one of my specialties ;).
It hurts between by buttcheeks when I see how many medikits you use
I was thirsty.
Medkits, not even once.
Christoph Rantscher Clearly medkits need nerf; people should not be able to chug them under fire.
The point is that people caught with their pants down can pop medkit and not die from indecent exposure in the open.
as a ~BR50 Vanu i LOVE the NS11 it just fills that need to fire normal Bullets every now and again
I've found the suppressor works really well in towers and biolabs. The hip fire at medium-close is absolutely lethal and aimed fire works well to steadily eliminate players while minimizing focus on you.
Those attachment layouts really helped a lot; I've never seen you list those numbers and effects all in one place and side by side before. Thanks!
Nothing that a SABR-13, Reaper DMR, A-Tross, Corvus or heck, even a CME can't do though.
rolf ski What's your weopen advice for an NC medic ? :o
Not an allround just for my medic class .
My fave weapon for the medic. Nice solid weapon. And that happy clacking sound.
It sounds like thunder claps when you shoot it
I see this all the time, and I realized that you're right about it not being a front-lines weapon.
The weapon itself is very solid overall, offering a reliable platform for kills in most situations
I've been trying to get better at that shot-knifing technique when I find myself literally up in someone's face like that.
lol, I'm definitely more aggressive than most! The knife is a nasty, nasty tool.
SalandFindles I use "T," which I think is the default bind, alongside middle-mouse.
Whenever a video by Wrel comes out I MUST watch it, even if it's 3am in the morning xD
if i remember correctly i picked up the NS11A back then solely for the +5 rounds per magazine. imo this is a godsend for VS/NC medics! i also love the gun's design, feel and sound. i am always using it with ironsights, sound suppressor, forward grip and softpoint. also like you said it's a solid squad support weapon which can net you a lucky kill while all other teammates are shooting the target but cant finish it off due to their inaccurate high-firerate weapons
Good allround weapon, very good value/cost raio, my first auraxium back in the day :)
Definitely recommended for newer players because its ok in any situation, also fun for more advanced players who love the .75 movementspeed and headshot capabilities, and know how to take advantage of that
Thanks for the video, Wrel.
Glad you found the video useful! PlanetSide 2 can definitely be difficult to get the hang of (or even enjoy, for that matter.) Death happens... a lot.
Wrel Being farmed by AOD is especially annoying. Especially when they once dumped 3 platoons into a single area on Indar.
Farming is always a two-sided affair though - there are those doing the farming and those letting themselves become crops. =)
If it's a one-sided affair and there aren't any likely reinforcements incoming anytime soon, just leave for a better fight and let the farmers stare at spawn room shields.
Wrel i have 2 of them auraxiumed and even though its "old" it still is a great weapon for people who value mobility and accuracy
Eyyy TheNCRipper your officially Planetside famous :D! 7:17
I love mine. I have yet to get to the point of adding all the extras beyond the scope, but it is my default medical assault rifle. I wish I could get it on my light assault or engi.
I absolutely love this on my medic
Just auraxiumed this gun (and found it great). My recoil compensation is okay but not amazing, so I found forward grip and compensator the loadout that was best for landing those head shots and making the weapon work for me. Going back to the cycler TRV is a real change of playstyle, but I'll get over it.
For the TR medic, I like the NS-11A for when the TORQ-9 is almost always going to be in its minimum damage range, but I haven't played with the SABR outside of VR yet.
3 more Auraxiums to the T1A Unity!
3 more to the T1A unity for me too, Good luck brother!
Doesn't waste bullets.
i freaking love the NS wapons. their controlability is just awesome.
+TheKhopesh You an Infiltrator, or a Light Assault? Either way, I agree heavily, though on PS4 people look at their minimap way less than they should.
+Mahir Tahseen
Actually, I regularly play HA, infil, and medic.
+Mahir Tahseen
Well, the suppressor for AR's in general does make sense for any area where you're expecting to have to fight multiple people at ranges around 25m or less.
+TheKhopesh Fair enough, it can help avoid flankers.
But you have only 6 bullets on NS pistols
Xardasj So? The LA-3 Desperado has only 7 bursts, and each burst doesn't do as much damage as 1 shot from a Commissioner.
The Commisioner is extremely OP I agree
The hipfire is way too accurate, so its not bad at any range.
GunFuMaster 7 burst with each 2 shots. But if you miss some shots with the NS revolver, you have no chance anymore.I prefer secondary weapons like the Spiker or desperado.
Xardasj "spiker"
That 0 second resecure by the VS was sick. VS for life
First weapon I ever auraxium'd. I really do love my NS-11.
*flops around like a fish* I want more videos!
VoughtF4U1A
The .75 ADS speed very much goes along with what you're saying.
I haven't used it in a long time but it's on my top 2 most used AR I think. I know I liked it a lot when I used it
As far as I know if your laser sight is off, its off for everyone else. Also it still gives you the benefit.
I just like all of the NS weapons. Well, almost all of them. They tend to be pretty good and fun designs.
This gun is so awesome, it's deadly accurate and has pretty good range too
wrel, you said that you were gifted all the auraxium weapons to review. Does that include the Kraken and the c4-arx?
Kraken, yes, ARX C-4, no. I don't use the Kraken out of respect for those who were working on earning it, however. It's purely cosmetic, so it doesn't need to be reviewed (but may be showcased some day.) I've almost got ARX C-4 unlocked myself, however. Looking forward to throwing those at people.
Wrel the explosions are beautiful, i died like 5 timed yesterday to some arx c-4.
what is the kraken? never heard of it
_Dave97_ the auraxium rocket launcher
thx :D
10:07 I'm just a distraction for Wrel :(
Wrel The NS-11AP is still available if you buy a t-shirt through jinx I think. Unless that deal ended people can still get it.
Nope, that deal ended Dec 31st.
Calvin Snowden Oh ok. Just makin sure.
I agree: if you can land headshot it is a very good weapon
But I use laser+compensator (I use compensator everywhere, even on the knife...)
0:31 (Summerreward) RIP my exclusive weapon I bought station cash to get
NS 11A is handsdown the best investment i've ever pair SC for.
It's so funny being an NC and hearing about its low rate of fire. I use it because of its HIGH rate of fire compared to the standard gauss rifle.
Just a question about your comp, did you buy one or you build it buy yourself ? :)
Bought it for around $1300.
Could you give me the complete name of it if you have it please ? :D
Geo BSGO would you look at daat, wrel.tv/pc-specs/
Thank you :D
wrel, you seem to be running into my Hyun outfit mates more and more each video. Hope we aren't killing you too much mate :D
Hah, was literally looking for a review of this weapon when I checked my subscriptions and it popped up XD
Funny how that happens, yeh? :')
Probably my most used weapon. Its my go-to assault rifle.
What's with the weird RoFs in Planetside 2? Like 909 RPM instead of 900 and 652 instead of 650.
+Williamz Their goal is probably even dps values rather than even rpm values.
I personally like my NS-11P It is very stable, and it's my favorite medic weapon.
+Wrel Which outfit do you play with on each faction? And is there any way your fans can play with you?
Great video as usual. Keep up the good work!
Thomas Bui have increased
To me, the TwORQ-9 fits almost the same role as the NS-11A, but suffers at long range, hence why I rarely use the latter on my TR character.
Even though it is one of the most common weapons for the medic, I feel that it stacks up well against the new guns and still holds its own these days.
This was a real cool vid, I might get this wep sometime. Also just wondering, is the Armistice for the TR worth getting?
Wrel try the ghost sniper for the Vanu !!
I love the gun.
YES, the empire specific variants are better(in some aspects) but this is always my go to if I dont feel like it. The recoil pattern is a little bit weird but its not hard to control and exploit.
I'm not sure that this is true, but I believe that enemies can see the laser sight, even when you turn it off. I haven't confirmed this, however.
ON THE NOTE OF ATTACHMENT BALANCE!;
Foward grip should increase equip time by 0.15 seconds, as well as reload by 0.1 seconds- maybe also a trait like aiming down the sights faster than without.
The equinox fires in full auto and semi auto modes while the equinox burst fires in 3 round bursts
Are you going to review the CME?
Ahh... nice to finally watch these at 60fps while using FF. Thank you version 37. Damned YT still pixelates too much but what are you going to do...
Yeh... it's annoying. Maybe I'll try to go overboard on the sharpness filter just once. See if there's a positive impact. You try anything like that?
Wrel
Not yet, no. Drathamus used to tweak visuals though, but he's been too busy to make videos lately otherwise I'd ask him. I've been a bit absent as well due to my wife being hospitalized and other stuff. I'll get back to you on this.
I'd love to upload in 60fps but it takes far too long too render as well as the fact that my framerate can drop to around 45 in spamfests:/
Would you recommend this weapon? I still use the Pulsar for the Vanu medic, and find that I can nail people from any range because of its accuracy. Would this be a viable alternative or should I just stick with my Iron Sight, long range beast of an assault rifle.
I find it a lot of fun, but it I'm not sure it's worth going out of your way for, if you still enjoy using the Pulsar.
Ok
why the 1x zoom and not for example, the 2x or 4x? the wiki itself saids it's good for long range :)
I use a Forward grip and a compensator and it becomes a beast when you do, most accurate thing I have fired in Planetside 2!
wrel, do you suggest bursting with this weapon or just firing automatic and trying to control the recoil.
+Stan Kuipers using it for some time now, best weapon for sure
Wrel, if I may ask. Are you going to make another Shotgun roundup video, because your other one, from last year, is a bit outdated.
Wrel Yeah, I will probably stick with compensator on the NS-11C myself. I prefer GD-7F for CQB anyways.
Any chance of another promo for this gun or should i start grinding that 1000 ? ;)
My attachments:
2x reflex scope
compensator
Lazer sight
high velocity ammo
Use this attachments and you now have a "lazer gun"
+SPACEgamer do you get allot of kills?
Hi Wrel, if you don't know what to do next (lol)... Could you take a look at pump shotguns? :)
I don't know what we open to go for with my VS medic class. Ns 7 pdw or this? I generally play close quartets but I can find myself in long rang firefights. I am starting to lean towards the SMG now.
Theunexpectedgamer4267 id say go with the pdw, you can hit things at longer ranges with it - sure you wont be a killing machine but that isnt the point of the medic anyway
also it will work for all your classes unlike this weapon
Sato thanks!
Theunexpectedgamer4267
glad to be of help man, i was afraid it would seem like I was trying to speak for Wrel
Sato just bought it and I've played 10 mins with it and I am really liking it!
I am from the VS faction ( if this matters. )
Thank you! :)
+Doile911 also should i max out the medic gun first or buy a weapon? Thank you for the help in advance and sorry for my english.
Since Wrel didnt reply, I can give you some tips: Max ur your medigun at first! Maybe( If you want to) buy a reviving grenade. If you are playing on close quarters, stay with your standart medic rifle, if you are on an open field, go buy the NS-11 A. Have fun :)
can you review the phaseshift for the vs
Are you going to review the NS-44L Blackhand? It's an interesting pistol to say the least..... Not bad overall but flawed in some areas.
What are the recoil modifiers for the forward grip?
They're listed at 6:48.
Not for the NS-11A, but just in general. The recoil angle, in particular.
Kelemen Szabó They change per weapon, but you can find a list of most known weapon attachment variables here: bit.ly/1sNCh4P
Kelemen Szabó in the video it lists the general effects whilst he talks about what relevance that has for the weapon itself.
Wrel Thanks a lot!
TIL i am garbage with this weapon. I have not been able to compensate for the lack of vertical recoil since i finished auraxing my last TR carbine. Im used to having so much visual recoil.
What should I do with 1000 certs? I wanna buy a weapon (NC). Also, Short Circuit camo vs Tech camo?
Tech Camo is shiny! And it is able to be used across all factions.
Short Circuit camo is also for all factions
What are your graphics settings.... im just asking im not getting a great fps with my 970..
