Give the guy a break bro. He has never wanted to do UA-cam to earn money or influence. He is here to share what he does for fitness and health and a little bit of his life. The channel blows up a little bit a years ago simply because fitness especially callisthenics start to get popular and there were not many channels. Now, there are so many of them that I can’t even count. I watch this guy for 8 years, he works hard and has a family to take care of. This type of house remodel work takes a lot of time and effort. I don’t even think he would make another fitness video as he has shared everything already

This guy had a great future as an influencer, he could have changed the things he didn't like about the fitness industry. Suddenly he got married, I don't know if he had children, he got involved in a job and forgot about this channel. His videos on being a hater (and why not to be that way) and not cheating actually are sage life advice, just coming from a roided out bodybuilder. Really didn't get the credit he deserved while he was alive for that sort of thing.
Paul, the gaps in the floor @ 12:38 is just like what I have in my Pergo flooring. What can be done about this? Is there something I can use to fill the gap between tiles?
Best thing you can do is glue the panels to each other (a small drip of wood glue and press them together). They will always slide as they expand and contract, that's the nature of wood. Some laminates have much better "lips" that hold to each other stronger, especially the 12mm flooring types. But everything ages and runs its course and eventually needs to be replaced.

I kinda vote demolish everything and just build a new house. Seems like the lot is big enough for it, if you get rid of all the garages/sheds. American style wood stud construction really is not meant to last, in Japan with similar construction they usually just fully demolish houses every 30-40 years as mold/rot/bugs/etc start taking too much of a toll. I used to think this was wasteful until I came across properties like this all dressed up with vinyl siding and laminate flooring but underneath pretty much all rotting with cancer. It's one reason I don't like construction here, in many ways it's dishonest as basically people want you to polish turds to dupe people into buying them, while the houses are still treated as appreciating assets due to financial schemes and things like zoning regulations. I even think being a fake natty bodybuilder selling whey protein and cookie cutter programming is more honest than some work people do to get a "quick flip" out of houses. It's disgusting.
I don't know where you are, but the permitting to build new is torture. I have seen houses town down to one wall so it was legally just a remodel. We have so many laws that prevent common sense.
