Hi, I am an tropical orchid new bee from North Queensland, Australia, only been up here 1 year now and have followed your instructions to attach Phalaenopsis to my trees, tried it with two plants a few months back and I am over the moon - both are now spiking with lots of roots, thanks Dian (shows my hubbies name)
VERY cool video. Love your yard and your orchid ideas. I live in NY and I'm attaching mine to a piece of driftwood indoors, because you inspired me.
Gorgeous - Thank you for putting up this video. I have one Orchid that just stopped blooming and another that continues to bloom in the house. I am looking forward to attaching my Orchid to my tree! Thank you for all your tricks and tips!
Thank you for sharing, Blanca! You make it look easy! Love it! ❤️
Wonderful job and they already look fabulous!!! Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed watching! :)
Great video Blanca !! Thanks for sharing 🌷🌹💐
I tried something new this past winter (like 3wks ago). I treated them like Dendrobium that need winter rest. My Phalaenopsis. Worked great! They are booming now!🤗
Agora vão ficar lindos,Diva 👏🌾🙏 Bom cultivo !! Parabéns 👍
I just found this video. It is the most helpful video I have seen on this subject. Thank you 👍🏼
Thank you so so much for this video! You are saving my beloved orchids that the building management decided they needed to cut the tree in 1 day.
I love your trees
I love that look
I have them also beautiful
I think it just changes completely the look of the tree
It gives it a beautiful exotic tropical look.
Very refreshing
Thank you for sharing, was a very helpful video ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful 😍 🤩 Thanks for sharing 😍 I appreciate it very much 🙏
Looks very nice!
That looks lovely..😀
Thank you so much. I wasn’t one who requested the video but it saved me from trying to have you come up to Fort Lauderdale to help me! Lol. I have been eyeing the tree I have in the back that if just full of places waiting for me to fill with orchids. This heat we have been having with no afternoon rains have kept me busy watering! Thank you again for the excellent demo. I don’t worry too much about dead roots either. I do clean up some excess if needed to make them easier to work with but don’t stress getting every brown root off.
James Rhodes hopefully you can mount soon. Blooms will start soon after. Good luck 😀🌸
Love the video Thanks 🙏🌺👍
You are awesome! Thanks sooo much for your time showing us how to do this. Very interesting. I would love to do this, however our winter's are too cold here in central Az. Other seasons here would work marvelous with a mister. Misters are popular here in AZ🌵
Sharon Holmes thank you 😊 so
Happy you enjoyed it!!
I love your videos i littery just as i bought my house i littery just stuck all my orchids on the trees ty so much for the info
Love how you explain how to step by step & your orchids are beautiful . I just tied my phal orchid to my palm tree yesterday using same method , thank you , question - should all the roots be covered w/ kneehi?
Wonderland!
So beautiful,,,
Thanks for the video. I do the same thing, and add some Spanish moss (we also call it ‘old man’s beard’) to hide some of the ugly. It’s a nice filler in between each mount as well.
tashalexhan yes!! That’s the finishing touch🤗🌸
Very nice😍🙏
Hey! Blanca nice video
Looks beautiful would love ❤️ to attach my phalaenopsis to my trees but it gets cold here in south Arkansas.
Thank you for sharing they look lovely up in the tree. You are brave by putting them outside on the tree . I will try one but I'm scared it will die , I'm a newbie at orchid i only have about 19 phals bare root . Water ones a week . Thank you Happy growing . 👍💜💕
Don’t be scared go rescue one from a nursery so you don’t have to put a lot of money into it and you’re going to be shocked attach one of my crate Myrtle tree that was positive was dead so I figured nothing ventured nothing gained and it’s the first time I’ve ever had an orchid bloom ever so now They all on move outside I enjoy them for the moment that they bloom but didn’t get the care that they need and we MoveOn
@@pattiepitts5893 Thanks , will do .positive thinking .
Fenomenalno ,,👏👏👏👏👏
I bought my first orchid in August. It was blooming. So I hear you that it must acclimate to my climate. So FL as well. It will get a.little colder here soon. But I keep it in a pot on my covered enclosed florida room/patio. Maybe next year I will try and mounting it in my Christmas palm. But not enough shade no big tree on my property. I have two queen palms near each other that may be shady enough not sure.
Wow this is beautiful I subscribe your channel
Ms Blanca how will the orchids do in winter
What is the name of the moss you used? Thank you for sharing. Your backyard & orchids are beautiful.
Where do you get the wooden baskets. I love your yard
Hi, am going to try hanging mine, does it get root rot or should I hang it side ways?
Hi Blanca I was told to mount Phil upside down, what do you think?
Hi Blanca! I am a newbie orchid lover. I attached my Phal on my Sylvester palm tree. I was wondering if I should keep it upright or at an angle? Thank you for your videos. You are very informative.
Hi!! I’ve always attached them straight up and have never encountered an issue with them getting crown rot which is why some will advise to mount upside down. If you feel more comfortable you can always slant a little 😃 good luck with your new hobby!! It is very rewarding and highly addictive 💕💕💕
can you attach 'vandas" i got the cheap ones from home depot that dont have flowers thanks
2/12/22 ... Just caught up with your "tree bound" orchid removal tube. I have an active orchid attached to a palm tree, but on the sunny side. It does bloom, however several of the leaves have turned yellow and dehydrated looking. I am guessing sunburn, but it may be lack of feeding. In any case I am going to carefully release it from the palm and remount it to the shady side. Thanks for the instructions. BTW; I am not the one that originally placed the orchid. Also, I am a guy; so I do not have any old knee-highs. Any suggestions? Maybe something from JoAnn Fabrics? On another note: I have found that ants hate a light dusting with plain old powdered cinnamon.
Do you need to water the orchid? Do you need to fertilize them?
Hi Blanca.love your how to videos. I also live in South Florida in Ft Lauderdale. I have a question. My dendrodium anusums have long cane's...now touching the ground. How can I detach a dendrodium anusums and move in higher up in the tree? Thank you. Regina
Hi Regina. Thank you so much 😀 you can remove them once the roots are very wet. Carefully so roots don’t get damaged
How often do they need to be watered?
I love orchids and have tried this but failed. I’m in California and it might be too hot and dry for them. I’ll try your technique and see what happens. Thank you for the video.
The garden of eden!!!
Where did you get the plastic slotted holders that you put the pots into (@7:21)?
Michael McCarthy they gave those to me years ago at a nursery. When I buy a few phals they let me bring the holder home with me. I have a few around if you’re ever in my area or at a show I can give you one 😀
How do you attach an orchid to a tree that
is overgrown in a clay pot?
don't your orchids compete by being in the same branch? great hose technique, as well as the wooden pots, thanks!
Do you still water your orchids hanging from the tree?
Hi Blanca. Used to watch your Chanel quite often . Tank you for information. Could you please make some video how you do watering and fertilizing mounted orchids. Thank you ahead.
Hi greetings from Australia I wanted to ask why dont you have any paphiopedilums ? Get paphiopedilum angel hair you would love that one
David Mcmillan hopefully soon 😀🌸
🙏🙏😍
I'm going to try it with a Dendrobium
Inside
I recommend you to mount a sharry baby in middle of phal we can enjoy the blooms with chocolatey fragrance please mount a sharry baby on that tree
Jack Orchid Enthusiasts i have it on my other palms closer to the house so I can smell it
@@blancasorchidgarden the only missing in gumbo limbo tree is fragrance I thought sharry baby or heaven scent redolecense mounted on that can justify all the gorgeous phals blooms which should be shamed of not possessing fragrance but mounting a sharry baby will add that top
👋😚😚
I need to remove my orchids from my palm I. Front of my house coz someone cut off my blooms
So heart wrecking😡😡😢
What jerks 😭💔
I have a mango tree do you think they will do well??
Erica Olmos yes!! I have two mini phals under my mango tree. They bloom frequently 😀🌸
🤗🤗🤗🤗🇱🇰🇱🇰
Great video PhalPal Blanca, the wooden basket Phals, are they filled with moss only? Are the ants okay, I put my dendrobium outside and it’s full of ants. Where is PhalPal Nina when you need her😂😂😂
Oh hey daughter!
Orchids for Dummies thank you!! yes moss only. Ants are annoying but they don’t hurt the orchids. 😀😀
No se mucho inglés pero a pesar de lo rápido que hablas te entiendo bien parece que se de lo que estás hablando me gustaría saber donde vives porque tu cara me es familiar yo trabajé mucho tiempo en Kirkland’s no se si de ahi te conozca
Ants ants ants, I hate ants too! I had a huge colony of carpenter ants in my specimen rhipsalis epiphytic cactus.
Todd's Tropicals 🤨🤨 ants drive me crazy and these are the tiny fast ones
Do you sell orchids? I live in South Florida [Miami]
No I don’t
Pangi ng bulaklak mo madam
The ants are one of the problem with those orchids on the palms
