Mike did a good job. He spoke his piece without turning it into drama. The press was looking for a sound bite and Mike kept it professional.
Imagine a game if Trout knew the pitches. It's enough already that he's inhuman at the plate, but he'd put out single-season records left, right, and center.
That's the thing, though - he's this good without cheating. Why should anyone defend someone else doing it, then? I wonder if, given how extensive the system in place was and how multiple sources have concluded the Astros have cheated consistently since '17, Bregman would have even been in the conversation for 2019's MVP without it. Trout still won because... he's Trout, but still.

Major and Minor league Baseball.all come under the rules of the game. That document is 281 pages long titled, "The Official Professional Baseball Rules Book". To suggest disregarding this document and suggesting allowing the players to "Handle it on the field" is ludicrous.
I predict that if the Commissioner fails to act, all of the team owners will suffer financially as a result. Then they will act. As a fan, if I cannot count on the outcome of a game being based solely on the physical and strategic skills of the teams and the coaches, I will cease to support the sport in any way. We all need somewhere to go to find Honor and integrity and Baseball has in the past represented that to me and I think, to many others. That's why there is so many people upset with the Commissioners lack of commitment to the game and what it stands for.
