Nationals did their homework against Astros and Strasburg even said the pitching staff mixed their signs almost every inning.
The Nats are heroes for stopping the cheaters! It makes me proud to be a Nats fan!
@@jacobflowers0529 mets fan here. Much respect to a great and professional rivalry. It aint personal like how it is with disgusting Philadelphia or atrocious Miami
I’m a Yankees fan and I was rooting for the Nats, not only cause they were the underdogs, but I knew 3 years ago something was fishy about those smug son of a bitches in Houston. Nats are my favorite national league team now.
After game 2, Strasburg said they were picking up his signs with a smirk on his face in a postgame interview. I think he knew what was going on.
"Did you use buzzers?"
Hinch: "I didn't not fail to avoid using buzzers."
If I owned a MLB team, I'd cheat every year, and just replace the suspended manager and GM when we got caught, because the players are seemingly immune to punishment.
This is what ive been saying for the past 2 months, MLB is beyond corrupt its shameful.
remove them from the mlb and bring back the expos to fill in the space
Texas guy Sorry but you have a problem. There is a good reason why so many are upset
@@connerwelles4570 Actually it does make sense. It wouldn't be the first time this has happened either. The original Baltimore Orioles moved to New York and became the Yankees, then got replaced in Baltimore. The Original Brewers also moved out of Milwuakee and got replaced. This also happened in NFL with the Browns/Ravens and in the NBA with the Hornets/Pelicans/Bobcats.
Even as a Yankee fan, If you asked me a year ago what I thought of Jose Altuve, I’d say I had nothing but respect for him.
Great story...little guy who kept working hard and got to the Majors etc.
it’s amazing how it’s the exact opposite now.
Vijay Nair well until it’s completely proven they didn’t use buzzers I feel the same
Altuve used sign stealing the least on the Astros and you go after him. The biggest cheaters in sports are the teams in New York and Los Angeles. They can just buy their players in free agency because they have the most revenue. Just like Cole fixing to play for the Yankees. You can bet the Yankee fans will be cheering when he pitches. lol
Of course he didnt deny it. We all know how stupid he looked last time he denied something.
The whole thing is a joke, oh course they did use it.
I'm waiting for Beltrans "niece" to post those rainy day photos to prove it.
gun slinger yeah but other MLB players said that they believed that they used buzzers. Not saying its true but its just something to think about i guess
MLB didn't find buzzer use because they didn't want to find it. Plain and simple.
MLB has lost all credibility!
Did it really have any? Baseball is my favourite sport, but let's be honest with ourselves. Cheating has been rampant forever. Was even celebrated during the Sosa/Bonds/McGuire days.
Manfred will bring in a clock and apply the DH rule to NL to really fuck the game up completely soon.
I just cancelled my mlb.com subscription for 2020. I’ve been a user for at least 10 years now
The Nationals came out and said they were changing signs at least every inning.
MLB NEEDS TO DO MORE. Guys, please keep putting pressure on MLB
It's about ratings and y'all just made the Astros the most watch team this season and the season didn't even start yet lol
It sounds to me like MLB wanted to protect their business and the only reason why there was even a half fast investigation was because a player who knew about it came forward
Everyone knew they were cheating...it was no secret...but without evidence, it means nothing.
Jomboy forced them to actually do stuff. MLB knew some stuff before but they wanted to cover it up
Cameron maybin should speak out since he was on the Astros in 17
paskowitz We need to know all 3 years. If I was a baseball player I’d be fuming.
As a Yankee fan it’s despicable that the Astros cheated.
But the fact there could have been a buzzer that sent the Yankees packing in the alcs and MLB is too lazy and embarrassed to look into it...
That hits home. HARD
It's difficult not believing cheating escalated from barbaric to more electronic. I'm so tired of ASSTROLLS comparing this to anything else, it's absurd.
Fock GooglePlus first of all, they are the jankees, say it right, second of all, what do u have against them. I’m a Mets fan for gods sake and I am not commenting that
The flip side is the Yankee hitters strike out WAY TOO MUCH. Watching Stanton, Judge, and Sanchez whiff 200 times a year is B.S. Make contact. You get a cripple, take 'em out. MAKE CONTACT. They're all 6'5" or more. Hit it in the middle and it'll go out. MAKE CONTACT.
I still hate that pipsqueak Altuve
Yeah the Astros felt bad and thought wait a minute put a buzzer on that midget, and the rest is history.
I am small and used to love altuve because he was a great player who is small but when I heard the news I stopped liking him
In response to "how did the Nationals beat them", Paul Menhardt worked on a new set of signs that could switch sequence as needed. It's almost as if the Nats knew something was up.
They did! They were warned beforehand so thankfully they actually listened and changed things up! Good job on them! Happy for Nats, Dodger fan here
@@928joseph Why do people try to say the Nationals caught on to what the Astros were doing and started changing their signs more frequently. My question is: Did the Nationals forget to change their signs in D.C? The Nationals LOST ALL 3 games at home and were outscored 19-3 by the Astros. Am I missing something here?
Everyone knew something was up, chapman didn’t change anything about his signs so he had his slider decoded and that little fuck nut cracked it Bc he was wearing a buzzer. The evidence is in black and white with this scandal
@@worldtraveler721 despite the Astros cheating, they're still a talented team. What's so hard to see? It was just some good ole' fashioned baseball
The Nationals lost their home games because they had their B starting pitching at home. Scherzer and Strasburg were the only starters at HOU. That’s why they won.
Carlos Beltrans niece needs to post those pictures she's saving for a rainy day
Bradley Jr. she said she had shirtless pics of Astros players with buzzers on, she claims to be saving them for a rainy day
@@samuelake1619 Don't forget she also mentioned Gleyber Torres. You can't act as a selective conspiracy theorist and only partly believe that report. The thing that everyone is missing is that this person's report came from a FAKE account. How credible can that information be?
Astros are gonna have a target on their back this season. Not just from the Yankees either.
Alex, are you ignorant? Your team is a joke, a fraud, CHEATERS! Be a man and stand up for what's right...DON'T BE A CLOWN
Agree everyone is going to try to humiliate them. I’m just glad my man Cole left 😂😂😂😂😂 too good to be there.
Legend has it the plunks could be heard all around the globe
MLB will investigate 2019 after 2 years when someone confess.
Chapman knew something was up as soon as Altuve hit that homer!
Exactly. And considering the fact that Altuve appeared to be waiting on the curveball. When facing Chapman, batters usually speed up their swings to be ready for his 100+ mph fastballs. They're not waiting, expecting a curveball. Usually if you're waiting, and not out in front early, you're striking out because you're not going to catch up to his fastball
Right hander hitting a left hander I hit .800 in High School. Pro's? Same knowing what's coming.
It was a hanger which didn't help. I don't think the Yankees were using multiple signs with Chapman absent a player on second.
Knowing what pitch is coming works so well Altuve grabbed a couple batting titles...
Not true there’s a video on who was cheating how much and how it actually helped altuve barely had any and even the ones he had didn’t result in anything big yes he cheated but it didn’t help him that much
@@vhj5803 you are a joke still out here protecting this frauds lol speaks volumes about you.
John Ocampo I protect my team 100%. MLB and everyone is making a big thing out of all this. But in the end someone still had to hit the ball. 2017 WS champs. We came close in 2018 , last year we came 8 outs away. 2020. WS champs again. We are a dynasty.
as an A’s fan, it pisses me off tremendously knowing we were right behind them for the last two years and had to settle for wildcard games.
Except Hal Steinbrenner just said “we need to move on” and left it at that. George Steinbrenner would’ve raised hell at the owner meetings, none of those passive remarks
If there was only a member of the 2019 Astros that was now a 2020 Yankee that they could ask questions like this to. Hmmmmm
I was once told by a long time major league umpire in Coco Beach Florida...
"You're basically a glorified babysitter, for highly over paid cheaters....Your onto them in one area, you squash it...and they find another hole to pop up out of... then you squash that one...Almost like whacka-mole game at the carnival."
I've never forgotten that...especially now
I feel like the Rays kinda got screwed too. They won both games at home and looked completely different on the road. If the Yankees have a quarrel, so do the Rays
Karsten Melton
Fuck everybody got screwed my Dodgers you’re Rays the Yankees the game. The pitchers who’s careers got screwed. We need to know if they wore buzzers and if they did the need to get suspended
The Astros couldn't beat the rays straight up im a Yankees fan an fear the rays every year. This is a very big problem for baseball it's not going to end well!!!
MLB was involved period.
I bet all these 2017 Astros will be in the hall of fame Altuve Springer Bregman Gonzalez Etc Great Job MLB
Rose needs to be in the hall of fame for reals
Guys, wake-up! It's not that Manfred didn't find out about buzzers, it's that he covered it up!
Just to think that my Dodgers took them to 7 games, I'm sick. F these cheaters.
Don't worry Michael Kay 10 years from now you LL have AJ hinch and Altuve on center stage and they'll tell you everything you need to know
Skrilla Forilla he’s saying the Yankees will steal them and then they’ll speak up a decade later
As a Astros fan I feel embarrassed for my hometown as well as everybody who believed in the Astros, such a shame
FINALLY, an Astros fan with a little PRIDE and RESPECT for the GAME! Thank you...
@@skrillaforilla9665 I didn't. Quit making shit up ,like this whole buzzer conspiracy. You're the ignorant one, letting the Yankee radio guys spew their bias opinion on your little brain.Grow up!
Thank you for putting respect for the game first. I see so many Astros fans who either don't care or bring up other teams cheating. It's sad, really.
I'll never forget that world series game Strasburg started. In the first inning the astros hit every ball to the wall. They knew what was coming. After that they couldnt touch him. In the post game interview Stras said someone informed him he was "tipping" which now we know the whole "tipping" thing the astros were so good at picking up on is mostly if not entirely baloney. Same goes for that game in Tampa. At this point I'd be more shocked if they weren't cheating. The report only says they did anything in 17 and not through 19 is because 2017 is the only year it was irrefutable and anyone could prove simply by watching youtube clips. Can't really do that if they're wearing buzzers.
These 3 r really goood tgether man, very underated group
The nationals countered the sign stealing with different signs
This truly makes The Nationals World Series Championship more impressive!
All I know is this. If you're an Astros fan do not travel to Yankee stadium in 2020, you're gunna have a bad time.
As a longtime Astros fan, I can't defend their actions at all, and I'm so sorry your Yankees got screwed.
Most of us Yankees fans, at least the ones in my circle, don't care about the World Series trophy or any of that. It's about the audacity to cheat at a level that is borderline fraudulent, which is a crime. And, it's about the insane "it's only cheating if you get caught" mentality of so many fans and players. The aftermath of all this has been disgusting. Fair play has to matter, and it has to matter above all else, even above winning a lucrative championship.
Thanks for your Honesty, Tony, you are a person with Great Character. Think of Kershaw blowing that game in Houston, giving up 4 runs. If the Dodgers Win that game, they WIN the World Series. And Kershaw is not the Goat. Wow, that changes everything.
I’m not a Yankees fan, but I am thrilled to see these guys hammer away at this topic. The more Manfred tries to brush it to the side, the more pissed off all the players get. Cody Bellanger- new favorite player off of my team.
What breaks my heart is that I thought Altuve was a special hitter...and in a lot of respects he is. BUT, if you know an off speed pitch is coming, it gives the hitter a TREMENDOUS advantage. And, to accept that help...well, to me that is a character issue...now all of his hitting successes come into question. This changes a plate appearance into a batting practice appearance. I just cannot accept it. Altuve now represents another f'ing cheater like Maguire and Bonds et al.
@@alexvanroth175 what then? What kind of new cheating methods are you using midget? Thats what. He just got caught cheating and was told you are good to go no fines no punishment for cheating. How the fuck is he not going to try and find a new cheat since he cant be touched. Fuck out of here.
They found nothing because they didn’t want to. We need a player to grow a pair and flat out admit to what they saw.
If the mlb does not open this case i will be livid
Why are the Yankees and YES network now the good guys? Why am I rooting for them? The world is a confusing place nowadays.
"We weren't." (Whistling) "I believed in what we were doing in 2019." (Using buzzers)
Houston may have messed with the two largest media centers in the country. New York and LA.
I feel they did find something but are trying to cover it up.
Royals fan here. I just wanted to say that this show has had the BEST coverage of this scandal. I will be rooting for the Yankees and Dodgers until they get some titles to make this situation closer to right.
So Hinch comes out to apologize and ends up telling us more lies.
Even an Orioles fan can agree with these Yankee guys!!!!
I really hope Yesnetwork keeps putting more of their videos on UA-cam, this is really great!
Next season every team that plays the Astros before the first pitch should protest the game. If everyone did that it would send a clear message to the MLB that this isn't over or forgotten.
How about the fans make a statement and Dont Go to baseball games. Maybe then MLB will understand how outraged people are that the players did not get any penalties at all for cheating the game and the fans of the game.
Best comment ever. Fans control the game just by simply not endorsing it. Go on, dare I say, strike. 😂
Just a question I've had....how many Astro players will play in the 2020 All-Star game? Just curious.
I know for sure 1 to represent the team but I'm so curious when he shows up on the dodgers ground how the reaction is going to be.
@@giovannicenturino1310 Unfortunately, I think every team is guaranteed at least one player be selected. They may not play, but they are guaranteed at least one All-Star selection.
The players told them about the buzzers. Just like that Patriots tapes from Spygate was so bad they destroyed them, the mlb protected their brand
They have immunity, so we're entitled to know which player used the buzzers and who didn't use it. The immunity agreement was about getting to the truth but we didn't get the whole truth.
I really hope “Beltran’s Niece” has buzzer/vibrator pics. MLB just wants it to go away. The commissioner NEEDS to take this seriously!
Please Manfred, ban the buggers and let us move on
Manfred is a joke, and will do nothing, that's why everyone needs to find illegal streams to watch there games next year, I'm not gonna renew my subscription, if Manfred thinks cheating is ok, then everyone should cheat mlb
He is scared to flat out lie because he realizes the truth will eventually come out.
He is careful not to say "no we did not use buzzers" because eventually it will found to be true and he doesn't want to be accused of lying to investigators. Apparently he has a good attorney.
He failed to deny because they did use them!! He answered like a corrupt politician. And Manfred is a coward for not standing up for whats right and handing down further punishment ON THE PLAYERS. I've lost respect for Manfred.
Cesar that’s exactly what this is turned into, politics, and it makes a fool of the level headed fan
Manfred is a loud mouth talking head. A guy who would say WE EMPHATICALLY DON'T tolerate this, to a weak punishment.
I hope more players would sue the Astros AND MLB for this F up.
What precedence did this set? Players can cheat and only the upper management would get suspended/fired.
Disgraceful
Hinch should take a lie detector test. Strap him up!
I didn't think that they actually used buzzers until this interview with Hinch. I think his answers show pretty conclusively that they used buzzers....
Can you imagine the amount of heckling and boos the astros will see on road games , it’s gonna be ridiculous
We're acting like the guy was going to admit to it lmao. Of course wasn't gonna say they used buzzers.
If they didn't use buzzers he would have flat out denied it 100%. The fact he danced around the question and saying "oh well Major League Baseball didn't find anything" speaks volumes of his guilt and his absolute bitchness
Cheaters need to be banned
Why can't Hinch or some member of the Astros be taken to court and asked under oath specific questions? How is this any different than Roger Clemens?
0:59 wonderful analogy that made my day
Where’s Gerrit Cole about this? He was on the astros in 2019 and is on the yankees now. What’s to stop him?
They Nats could've easily switched up signs between innings.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw his interview
So we supposed to just ignore the fact that Beltran, the mastermind, was a Yankee for the 3 previous seasons before being on the Astros in 2017 and then a front office guy for the Yankees the year after? Yep... nothing to see here.....
AJ Hinch should be banned from MLB for life
Using buzzers is one hell of an accusation to be leveled upon a team and its players. For Hinch to not just say hell no we may have stole signs but never did anything that egregious tells me there’s a coverup in the works by both the Astros and the commissioners office to try and save face.
Has anyone said how long this has been going on? I'm thinking of games 4 and 5 years ago where they were chasing ace pitchers in the first inning.
I guess in baseball cheaters always win. Do something Commish!!! You're ignoring one of the biggest scandals in baseball history.
...Houston Asterisks
MLB needs to subject all team dugouts, including player equipment and uniforms, to random inspections to screen for cheating and rules violations. Banks get audited, restaurants have health inspections, sports is also big business and should be held accountable to the rule book, not just taken on their word.
I’m an Astros fan and I wouldn’t be mad at that. I believe they should do that to everyone and every team
Have they asked Cole yet? He was with them all in 2018 and 2019. We have enough info about 2017 at this point and Cole would be someone who would probably have an idea if they cheated or not in those years.
let's keep all the Astros safe in 2020. thank you MLB commissioner for protecting our loving Astros 💗 we all forgive you Jose Altuve.
Mlb is protecting the Astro’s because some of their players had the most sold jerseys..
Fire Manfred!
He had shirtless pictures on Instagram that wife thing is a joke
Is there any way to watch this full show online?
For the love of everything holy we know they used buzzers
Of course there's not gonna be any proof that they used buzzers! Buzzers are easy to toss out after every game or hide away. It was VERY obvious Altuve was wearing something under his jersey in game 6 of the ALCS in 2019. He's shy and his wife didn't like it???? BULLSHIT! He was wearing a buzzer and knew if the team ripped his jersey off, the cameras would see that shit instantly. It's such bullshit that these players aren't being punished for it too, nor have ANY of them taken this seriously at all. Altuve trying to spin the "underdog" narrative talking about how "people will forget about it once the season starts" and "they'll be in the World Series again." No honey. We won't forget and every single win the Astros have this year will be picked apart with a fine-toothed comb to make sure they won it cleanly. And every away game they have they'll be met with boos and banging from the crowds. Their season is gonna be HELL and I can't wait.
Lindsay N Seems to me that the rest of the team wouldn’t have tried to tip his jersey off if he had a buzzer under it. They would know. If he had one, he wouldn’t have needed to tell them to NOT do it.
@@earthshine2k That's not necessarily true. They likely knew, but because of the excitement of the moment he was reminding them not to do it. Which is very clear. Had it been for his embarrassment/his wife being mad they would have done that shit anyway.
I was going to say that answer was written by a lawyer, but as a lawyer, that's only how you would advise a client if they were under oath. This was written by a PR person who thinks they're a lawyer.
As a lawyer, I would come up with something better that may not quite be true, but can be walked back. If you're under oath, you have to make sure it's true. But this is just an interview.
Remember how the Astros seemed to know what Glasnow, the Rays pitcher in the decisive game 5 of the ALDS, was going to throw? Supposedly he was tipping his pitches was what happened but they didn't provide enough clear evidence he was tipping them, just a slight difference in how high he held his glove when he came set. Now we should think something else was a going on.
The commissioner the players an owners i believe just killed baseball by hiding everything from the fans #boy i cant wait for football season
People will watch just to see how the Astros are treated. Baseball already isn’t very popular so I doubt anyone’s viewing habits will be influenced by it. If I was an Astros fan I wouldn’t watch. That’s it.
The cheating make me want to watch baseball
I am not a Yankees or Astros fan so I my opinion is not biased.... I kid you not that when I watched Altuve's walkoff HR live, I literally thought to myself " how in hell did he sit breaking ball there against Chapman in a 2-1 count ? "
I feel it in my heart that after the trash cans became too obvious ( allegations of this started when they happened 2 years ago ) they moved on to more effective ways to cheat. Altuve's behavior after hitting the HR tells us all what we need to know.
Mike Bolsinger just filed a lawsuit against them for 31 Million. On Aug 4th he threw 29 pitches against, 12 of those pitches they banged the garbage cans. He then got sent down after that game and released. I hope he wins the lawsuit cause fuck them.
Houston pitching lost that 2019 World Series
Avery Fabian the nats knew the Astros did that. That’s why they Astros scored in the first few inning and getting shut later. In most of the games with stras and Scherzer. Strasburg after one of his games stated that he picked up that he was either tipping pitches or the Astros knew their signs and decide to change the way he held the ball and changed signs every inning.
Deflection at its best... smh...guilty
The MLB is waiting for this story to fade away. Do not stop talking about it!
They said that they played an analysis baseball with advanced equipment, but what they did was tap the trash can.
The MLB commissioner is making Al Capone look like an angel and he will remembered as the most corrupt baseball commissioner of the century
...also, for us older guys that remember how pitchers were EXPECTED to stand up for their players, guys like Drysdale and Gibson would have thrown a fastball directly at their noggins, and it wouldn't be to brush them back!
I expect a lot of "stray" balls being thrown at Altuve and his Ass-tros this season.
Since nothing happened to the players my question is this: if a pitcher/catcher battery uses buzzers to further secure pitch selection... is THAT cheating?
Is it cheating to 100% obfuscate all visual evidence of pitch selection, leaving baserunners, base coaches and video technicians nothing to look at but a few head shakes followed by a nod, then the pitch?
With no discipline put on the players, this would be the only way to be sure they weren't using something even less incriminating as wearing a buzzer... with the buzzer being less incriminating than the can banging was. The natural progression is to lose the buzzer. If they do that and we're still flashing signs visually, we're still vulnerable.
This sounds like an answer he was told by his lawyer to say.
HURT HIMSELF!
