Chris Cornell was the lead singer for Soundgarden and Audioslave, he and chester were very close and were each other's children's godfathers. Chester took his life on Chris's birthday.
temple of the dog, yo
@@bobtony6036 damn how could I forget
Don’t forget Alice mud garden and AMD mad season
His scream and last chorus when he cried was heartbreaking
The scream gets me every fucking time. You really can hear all the pain
@@philipkalin1928 so true
that part fuckin broke me man
Lump in my throat stuff that.
@@philipkalin1928but what a voice!
I am angry that we couldn't save the one who had saved so many. Linkin Park has helped me through a lot of tough times.
Chester wrote this song with a dear friend of his that was dying from cancer. Amy Zarat. Long after his death the emotion he put into his lyrics will remain and be felt forever. Chris cornell, Chester, Kurt, Dolores and many other greats all left a shining light on the music scene that will burn forever
Actually Mike wrote it the day of her funeral. She worked with them at the label.
Kudos from the audience who respect Chester singing, they are quite the whole time he is singing and bruhh how can u not sing along with that song..
Only time I've ever heard Chesters notes not be 100% flawless, and at the same time his best performance.
This song came out not long after my sister took her own life. The part about one more chair at the table that isn't needed just broke me, and it still does. This song will ALWAYS bring me to tears. My mother passed away from Alzheimer's just over a year after my sister, so it hit me so hard the first time, but it hit a completely different way after that happened. It's so emotional and raw.
Sorry to hear that.
Dude i went through the wringer when my uncle passed in March. I felt the same pain.
@@jamesrobert680 it's never easy. I'm sorry for your loss.
Damn..... heart breaking...
Sending hug
Chester is one I'll never get over , this band was the closest thing to therapy as a depressed kid in a world that doesn't believe in mental health. R.I.P Chester Bennington.
Can i help you, not to hurt anymore.
I truly hope Chaz knew, that he helped so many of us.
Fly high you freaking legend!
We never gonna forget you!
They really never released a bad album. Even their poppy stuff slaps.
This was written by a female friend of his who was at the time dying of cancer
5:56 the pain behind Chester's voice!
This is my fav version . miss you Chester Be thanks for helping people including me through your music.
Hi guys! It's amazing what Chester was capable of achieving with his voice and lyrics in people, even today. There's not a day that goes by where I listen to this song and my eyes don't fill with tears.
The lyrics hit me particularly hard because I lost my mother less than a year ago and every verse resonates with me deeply.
I really love your reactions, they're amazing. I would love it if you could react to other bands like KoRn, System Of A Down, Slipknot, Rammstein, Nightwish, Epica, etc. You might be surprised if you don't know them.
On another note, you've probably already been told, but Chris was a close friend of Chester's. They supported each other in their worst moments and prior to this concert/tribute, Chris had taken his own life. Greetings from Argentina.
Chester you were the light in so many of our lives. Your music got me through a very dark time in my life that I know would have destroyed me if not for you.
We still miss you Chester 😭
Rest in Peace 💔
Linkin park has saved so many lives ❤❤❤
Love this song love you Chester R.I.P.
Chester was so upset he was crying and missed lyrics at the end. Talk about giving it your all…
That is so powerful.
I remember seeing this live..
Amazing as always.
A great introduction to Chris Cornel is Hunger Strike (Temple of Dog) it was a dedication project to a dead friend... Pearl Jam and Sound Garden played as one band. 2 drummers, 2 singers, 2 bassets.... Its amazing.
Shiver 😭💖 we love you Chester
Definitely go through their discography!
this song hits me hard....god damn
Yes. This is his last live and song.. before he committed suicide. Its just crazy. This is even the last song. 😭😭
well technically his last live performance was in Birmingham UK but still sad
Chester singing "Rolling In The Deep" is absolutely hauntingly good
Chester and Chris were very close and shared their sad propensity to take their own lives, which tragically they both did.
Check out the tribute one they put out for Chester they cut little pieces of him talking between verve’s and when you hear him sing and talk so passionately really just drives it right to your heart and soul
Rip Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell
Bro, this presentation is so huge, beautiful and personal.. Chester R.I.P.
the entire band was in so much pain and it showed through everything
Whatever reactions you do of Linkin Park, please do the live versions instead of studio ones!
It would be so amazing.
And please do react to the Collision Course❤
You guys should do "Nothing compared to you" by Chris Cornel from Soundgarden. Talk about top ten male vocals, might be the best cover ever.
*Cornell
❤
Please watch the In The End performance at Rock am Ring 2004. Best LP concert ever!
Uh, how have you not listened to Chris Cornell. Start with his cover of Prince Nothing Compares 2 U live Sirius show. Watch the video of Audioslave Like A Stone. Watch Temple of the Dog Hunger Strike where he and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam sing an amazing duo. Watch Soundgarden Fell on Black Days. And then keep going and going and going.
The fact that Chester almost lost it at that end made me almost lose it
That is the saddest performance ive ever seen , so sad .
💔🥺
Chris Cornell was a Rock GOD. R.I.P. ❤
Chester does by suicide. We lost a beautiful man. An amazing human who understood all we felt and actually cared #ChesterForever
This song is hard to get through.
Chester is 100% for the entire song. But there are moments that Chester turns it up to 500+% and those are when you know he is singing RAW emotions.
Mensaje amen a sus hijos...
Mike originally wrote this song as a tribute to a lady close to them that worked at the record label who died of cancer when they was writing the one more light album
Yall didn't make it show it its ok we understand chester had this deep connection with everyone the part he changed to a scream like why!? It was so haunting.
Well i do 😔
That performance is so fucking hard to watch.
Awww puppy
I just want to hug you both and cry together. is that weird
NO NOT WEIRD
That puppy is so beautiful and it looks like she has pigtails ❤
Edit: he committed suicide in the same way my friend did. Hanging. I miss both him and my friend so much :(
Audioslave!!?!?! Do some research.
He drank too much and hang himself
A moving song on depression and deep psychological hurt
Kudos from the audience who respect Chester singing, they are quite the whole time he is singing and bruhh how can u not sing along with that song..
