He has a lot of common sense but he finds it difficult to process a different point of view. So you end up with a person who see the world very black and white. Edit And when he has an idea for something it’s near impossible to change his mind. That’s when things go sideways.
Doug Stanhope summed him up really well "Karl Pilkington may be the one person I that I have more in common with than any person I've met outside of stand-up comedy. No interests, no hobbies, but pure and simple logic. Like me, heavy on the simple. "
Karl's not 100% dumb, but not dumb in any sense? Yeah no, lol. Most of his worst (and funniest) stupidity comes from his inability to think abstractly, and his extreme ignorance of most topics. He's a simple man with simple desires, and there's some simple wisdom or truth in some of the things he says. But he also talks metric tons of absolute bollocks.

You need to watch “Derek”, with Ricky and Karl it’s absolutely brilliant🤣🤣🤣
I found Derek kind of depressing and the face he pulled to be Derek reminded me of the embarrassing character Andy "are you having a laugh?". I did think Extras was very funny though..great guest stars too.
I haven’t seen Ricky and Karl in ages and I’m worse for it hahaha they are brilliant 😂🤣👏
I concur , they are a medication 🙂 👍
No words. Just brilliant
I must say, you two are also very funny 😆 to watch, laughing your heads out 🤣
Does this stuff go down well in Denmark?
Beyond hilarious..Ricky and Karl..ace!!!
ive never watched this before and im British and already my face is hurting with laughter, I've only gone 4 minutes. LMFAO
Karl is absolutely fabulous 🤣🤣
“I’m not paid or qualified to be sorting your arse out” 🤣🤣🤣
I don't know how I've not come across this before. How the hell do they last so long while keeping a straight face?!
I love Karl so much. He was fantastic in An Idiot Abroad. I enjoy watching those episodes over and over.
When Karl is acting out and it gets serious, you know it's happened to him 🤣 I have grew up watching amd listening to Karl, he is one of my favourites here in the UK
Boomer. I watch a lot of Americans react clips but you seem to totally understand and appreciate British humour and your reactions are comedy in themselves 🤡🤡🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks Alan!
I've never seen an American get it as much as they do, great couple
For me, the BEST of this video, was watching Callie's reaction. A pleasure to watch.
Glad you like uk comedy its brilliant shout out from wales uk guys 👍✌
What I love about this is that it becomes very apparent that Ricky isn't doing this to help people learn English or even to make money, it's entirely for his own amusement
Great reaction and its great you've got the love for Karl and Ricky. Bit of a trivial knowledge but Karl lived just two streets away from me in Sale, Manchester. Always got time for the Mancunians xxx Stay safe from Manchester UK
If you want more of Ricky and Karl watch "Derek". Its the funniest thing ever. Karl is still a "bald" caretaker in an old people's home and Ricky plays Derek who just spends his days with the elderley people in the home and lacks capacity in it but he's so endearing. They made 2 series but sadly Karl isn't in the second series as he didn't want to typecast himself. It is soooooooooo funny and there are some English actors in it.
Great channel guys... Good to see some of you Americans appreciate our humour.
The squeaky chair was loving this one
Old English proverb(Chinese accent)
'A foolish man complain of torn pocket but a wiseman uses it to scratch balls"
I've been waiting for you to do this...was going to suggest it last week!
