I’d lean to the green for this one. The Living Bible Paraphrase came out in a very distinct cover that was usually green (sometimes red). I think the NLT in forest green would be a great nod to the history of this translation. Fore edge design for sure!
I'm so excited for this release!! =) I loved "everything" about it. I put in my pre order yesterday .. rose gold for me!! Cannot wait to see them in person!!
Gidday Tim. I am currently reading the NLT translation and enjoying it heaps. I haven't got a premium Bible, but when you announced it, it felt right and I have pledged for the pre-order. It will be so exciting to own a premium one, thanks for sharing with us as usual 🙂
Tim, I’m so excited I ordered the London Red yesterday morning on Kickstarter!! I am also excited to get my Schuyler NLT PSQ the zipper chestnut camel 🐪 soon. 🙏❤️📖👍😊
put in my preorder yesterday, I had been hoping for a NLT version, I have the Shepherd in blue and love it. This one, given that it is Sonrise, I may need to go with the yellow one :)
Thanks for reviewing Brother Tim. These look like some beautiful bibles. I'm waiting for them to print one without the artwork. That black and wool looks really classy 😊. Blessings to you and your family 🙏
For me, the Doré Illustrations are much more than "a nice little touch" - they're premier artworks by a Master Craftsman, Blessed by God, they so clearly harken back to, and even reinstate an era when, for many in Ministry, be it artistry, industry, or commerce, Workmanship of the very highest standards and the Godly celebration of His Workmanship were integral components of whatever folk put their Hands to. Imho: Humble Lamb makes such highly valuable Bibles for every single element they're comprised of is so deeply considered. They reflect the Works of God The Father Himself!
I have ordered one of each previous translation by Humble Lamb. Like you, mine have all been blue so far. I signed-up for two , but I think this time I am going to get a green and red one. As a colorblind person, I love to see someone doing blue letter Bibles.
Humble Lamb has currently raised $101,300 for their NLT Sonrise Kickstarter campaign and their goal was only $5,000 which means they've already exceeded their goal by $96,300
The black and forest green are new colors. If this was in NIV, LSB or RSV I'd maybe be that person to order 10, sneak some of them periodically into the free bible section at church. I already have the NASB and love it. The black and wool version of this looks up my alley though . .
Someone already got a 10 pack! I'm thinking about going for a Green and Rose Gold for myself and my wife respectively... maybe just the green for me if she doesn't want one.
Goodness I was tempted before this video but after watching this I went on in & backed the project. I usually prefer black or brown Bibles but I am thinking blue on this one. I probably shouldn’t have ordered I’m waiting on an out of print NKJV rebind from Preserve The Word & really want that PSQ in the Tuscany NLT. I’m going to need a third job!
Preordered. I have no opinion on the illustrations other than they add to the bulk but ok with it. Have been wanting a premium NLT with a 10 pt font in Forest Green for years and here it is. A bonus is that it ships during my birthday month. If there has to be a wait, then January is a good month.
I would LOVE for Humble Lamb to be able to produce an LSB in the same size as the NASB History; that would be my dream Bible for daily devotional reading. ☹️
I picked up the Storm Gray Lion refresh with blue art gilt. I love that color combo it is unique but subdued. I really wish it had all 220 illustrations though. I really prefer the KJV and the NKJV and verse by verse. If they are going single column I would prefer something more like the stridon that is still verse by verse.
Tim, would love to see you get a copy of the black & wool version to view. I'm a blue gal for sure & have the Humble Lamb NKJV in blue, but the black has kind of caught my eye a bit & the green one, although I am not a fan of green. I do like that inside brown liner though on the green one.
Hope they produce an ESV. I really like the ESV and does not look like my church will change translations. I sure do miss using the NKJV, which my old church used. Tim, have you done a review on Nick Sayers KJV?
I almost tempted yesterday to order it . I am considering waiting for another week. But I don’t know if I can be that impatient .I just ordered and received my Lion refresh and the messenger bag spent out . But Also want to get this special 1st edition deal in a different translation for my studying . So I am going to go ahead and order it . The lunar Gold will offset nicely with my olive Green Lion . The only bad part is the 6 months wait. Thank you 1st or 2 Timothy, lol for another wonderful review.

Tim--different subject. I have had a Kirkbride TCR NASB since it was first introduced. I'd like to buy a premium quality NASB study Bible to go with my Schuyler NASB. I don't buy vanity Bibles with their accompanying bias. What do you think of the Zondervan? Thanks for your advice and best wishes from Texas!
I ordered one, but haven't made up my mind about the color. Leaning toward "London Red" or "Forest Green", or maybe "Black and Wool" (Is 'wool' just white leather? I hope it's not wool cloth!) But I'm not keen on that little square "CR" block on the outer end of the line separating the text from the references. I suppose "CR" means "cross references", but I think it is distracting and serves no useful purpose. Also wish the paper was heavier: 36 or 40 gsm instead of just 32. Also, what does "full set" mean when referring to cross references and translator notes? Is there a specific number of each? For # of references in other bibles, I've seen numbers like 40,000 and 70,000, but never a number of translator notes. I know Humble Lamb uses the bible database at Scribenet, but even they don't give numbers. I emailed Scribenet but have not heard back yet. PS - I think *YOU* should be the first to order 10 of them and then give them all away on your channel. 😊
