Your lighthouse image at 4:20 is really nice. Makes me want to explore the details. And nature as it is, in all its chaotic nuances, which in terms is just perfect. Definitely something to hang on a wall.
Wow. You weren't wrong. I went down yesterday morning to see the change for myself! Even at a higher tide there were boulders and rocks all over the place! Excellent video as ever, thanks for sharing
I really like the rock patterns photo: contrast not only in luminosity but also in color temperature; if I were to point to something on the negative side, it would be the heavy highlight spill at the bottom right; it could be remedied by some burning, but you are the artist and that’s your vision...Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation you have given me and others throughout these years!
counting down the days for this lock down ending. What a difference a landscape can change. what we can take away from this vlog is not to stop going to the same location but to visit more and see if things have changed. cant wait for the next one. stunning images.
Thanks Thomas - you have the right machine to home in on those details like the frame filling rock you shot last. The camera's capability makes you seek and see those opportunities more often than perhaps something of lower resolution would because of the textural image capture you can attain. Great shot!
Really enjoy your videos. Recently I planned to add a new system besides sony, I considered Fuji mid frame camera. However, it is too big for me to carry all around. Instead I brought a Leica m10r, hope it can company me with most locations I will go to in the future. Photography is a hobby of mine, I cannot go to everywhere and enjoy every beautiful scene, cos I have job to do. Watching your video gives me a sense of actually I am there at the location and enjoy everything. That’s the main reason why I cannot leave without giving you a thumb up. Cheers
Great find this morning 😮 another video from TH for this week! Lovely shots but particularly love the last close up photo, the light and textures were gorgeous. Always try and tell myself to check the ground when I’m out in woods etc for potential shots and that was a lovely image.
The last one is defo my favorite. Yeah got a shock when I went for my exercise and found the beach like that, drove home got my camera and came straight back. Got to love the North East coast line.
Absolutely brilliant video. Beautiful shots Tom. All the time during lockdown you have been down and fed up maybe the " new" Beach is your reward. Enjoy it and stay safe. Can't wait for next video.
Yes! I completely understand your excitement about that 'new' beach: it's brilliant, with all those slabs, pebbles and pools of water. There's so much to photograph you almost don't know where to start, lol. Had a similar feeling two weeks ago with a combination of snow, ground fog and the rising sun. Best thing ever :-) The last rock picture was especially beautiful. Interested to see what else you produce the coming days!
Great job of taking advantage of the changed conditions the recent storms brought to the beach. Loved that last image of the rock with all the striations and lines in it!
Keep calm and keep filming. Just feel like you are a documentary film maker. I mean you are... Lovely photos. Fun to have a local spot change so much. Love that GFX, next camera may just be one. Love that rock at 8:12 I couldn't resist that myself. Cheers, Tom! Thanks!
What a difference a storm makes, really goes to show how even the same local locations can produce different results and its well worth visiting again and again, landscapes are never static and it's all about the conditions. Loved the colour and texture of that rock in the last image 👌
Wow, that beach is virtually unrecognizable! Its definitely very cool. Your new lens is really sharp and has a very nice almost film-like quality to it. I love that last shot, but what stood out to me were all of the beautiful bright red and orange rocks. They really spice up the scenes.
Sunday evening just got a whole load better. Great video, thank you Tom! Went to a beach in Suffolk on Friday and it was just the same...the storm had ripped through the sand and exposed the rocks. Happy days!
Some pretty good shots in this one pal.. what a gift .. the last shot looks sooooo good .. looking forward to seeing what you pull out of your brand new location :-) .. damn it was busy there so early !!
I’m not a landscape photographer at all, but I love how enthusiastic and excited you get about taking pictures it’s so inspirational, thanks for all the awesome videos.
Hi Thomas, great video from the east coast. To see the geological successions revealed after the storms was brilliant. The wave ripples on the sandstone and the smooth, dark shale below, a lot of potential for some black an white images of the varying shapes and textures that have been revealed. Nice one Thomas.
Thomas, if you haven't tested it out yet, test out the "focus bracketing" capability for shots like the last one (and possibly for some near-far broad landscapes as well). Fuji calls it "focus bracketing", but it is really focus stacking. It will make a shot like the last one easier to accomplish, and it will be sharper overall since f16 is beyond the point where diffraction has begun to impact the image. You could probably shoot that last image at f5.6 or f8 and three or so shots and have a considerably sharper end result. Not that sharpness is everything, but it is easy to do on a shot like that and the added sharpness allows you more flexibility with the image later...
Love it! Those layers on on the of the rock in the last scene where you talked about using it as a table caught my eye. I'd definitely try shooting those, especially seeing how they sort of face the sunrise.
Space may be the final frontier, but its made in a hollywood basement .. or on Thomas Heaton,s local beach ! great video the second shot with the bolder in the water is a keeper for me ! Take care.
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the weather's gift. I feel the same way about our rare hard white freeze. Same place looks utterly different! What a treat. I agree with everyone else - that lost shot was spectacular.
Just back from 4 hours on the beach photographing a shipwreck at low tide, so it was a great surprise to see your vlog released Thomas. It's weird how mother nature rearranges the landscape at time. Enjoy your return visits whilst it lasts
I saw the rock that was your subject as you were pointing it out in the video part, and thought, okay it's wavy and kind of interesting. Then @9:31 when you showed what you captured, it was, wow! I agree with other comments of how nice this photo is. I was surprised by all the color that showed up. I did not see that in the video leading up to the actual shot. Anyway, it's great, Thomas.
That last shot of the rock was incredible! Looks like the surface of a planet
Yeah, when the light hit the rock, it came to life. Thanks 👍
It is the surface of a planet.
@@johnsmith1474 Haha good point
Live Rover Perseverance on Mars photos
Yes, awesome shot!

What a change in the landscape. Beautiful. I always reserve these videos on Monday morning so I can start my week with a smile on my face.
Wow! What a transformation. Not normally a crazy gear guy... but I think you made a right choice with that new Fuji setup. Thanks for what you do!
Well done Thomas. Good to hear / see some spring in your step. Also, thx for doing the pod with Nick Carver, enjoying watching his work as well.
What a change the storms have made for the beach landscape. I've always found it amazing how the beach can change with the movement of sand.

I’m very glad I watched this video. Soothing images. Light and texture delightful. Thanks!

Your third image was wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I would love to turn a print of that into a puzzle!

Enjoyed it Thomas. That rock texture shot was amazing and you got some fantastic light it appears at the right time! Thanks, Nick
That rock texture shot was really spectacular Thomas!
Thanks as always to take me on the journey and be an inspiration to Do more myself...
Absolutely brilliant video.
Beautiful shots Tom.
All the time during lockdown you have been down and fed up maybe the " new" Beach is your reward. Enjoy it and stay safe. Can't wait for next video.
I love your enthusiasm and the simple landscape you turn into art.
Ah ha! You have shot of inspiration, and your excitement is contagious. Happy for you.

Spirits lifted again .......... nice to see 📷👍
Loved the texture in the rock photo. Beautiful!
I really like that last image of the patterns in the rock!!

The very last rock you photographed was so gorgeous I’d love to see the finished print I may like to purchase one!!!
Evenings are better when a Thomas Heaton video is uploaded. That last shot was beautiful. Gorgeous light and texture
Love it Tom. That storm affected beach has gave you a new lease of life 🙌👌
Keep calm and keep filming. Just feel like you are a documentary film maker. I mean you are... Lovely photos. Fun to have a local spot change so much. Love that GFX, next camera may just be one. Love that rock at 8:12 I couldn't resist that myself. Cheers, Tom! Thanks!
Wow! The images from that Fuji medium format are just amazing!! Beautiful images!!
Loving the re-discovery of a familiar place; ever-changing world 🌎 we live in 😀
Beautiful light and equally great images.

Love the abstract rock shot. A homage to nature’s texture via many megapixels. Lovely, well spotted. MJ
Yes, love the image of the rock...full of color and texture...
Shot of the rock is fabulous. Very well done.
Happy that you're making this videos with Fuji again
I’m hiking at Hueco Tanks tomorrow and I’ll be taking a closer look at the rocks.
I was watching the first shot like ooo the people and the reflection
I'm so glad that Mother Nature has gifted you with a redecorated beach! 😊 I love rock and wood textures. They're so often overlooked.
That's the true look of that beach, and sure looks better when isn't filled with sand, love the last photo
That last shot would make an awesome print!
nature takes and nature gives

What beautiful serine photos!!!
Getting new lenses is so much fun! Great shots too!
Another amazing video! 👍🏼 absolutely loved the second and third shots!! 😍 awesome work as always Tom! 👏🏼
That change in the landscape is amazing, incredible what one storm can do. The images that camera produces are beautiful as well.
Sunday evening just got a whole load better. Great video, thank you Tom! Went to a beach in Suffolk on Friday and it was just the same...the storm had ripped through the sand and exposed the rocks. Happy days!
The shot with the detail of the rock is my favourite. Magic colours and structure, captured very well 👌
Wow, amazing to see the change of that beach. Loved that abstract image of that rock. Beautiful colours and shapes.
Some pretty good shots in this one pal.. what a gift .. the last shot looks sooooo good .. looking forward to seeing what you pull out of your brand new location :-) .. damn it was busy there so early !!
Watching this on a 55inch , 4k tv . Looks effing brilliant ! Well done.
Good to see you positive and cheery.
I loved the last shot of the simple rock, beautiful shapes, texture & color....what more could you want 👍🏻
Great video. Thanks. Assuming that’s The Spanish City in the distance.. A great shot of a rock, near a place made famous by a great rock band.
Oh to be able to travel to a beach! Great rock shot :-)
Thomas, you can (with an adapter) use your hasselblad lenses on your gfx as well.
I’m not a landscape photographer at all, but I love how enthusiastic and excited you get about taking pictures it’s so inspirational, thanks for all the awesome videos.
Here on the east coast of south Florida we only have sand, what a change in your shore from the last video from that area, nice images Thomas!
Great pics Thomas, the rock one, looks like it has the scream face in it, below the white bit
It is good to hear that you will have more freedom to travel. Looking forward to your next adventure.
You are doing a great job Thomas!
Great lens and interesting bit of beach.
Always nice to get that Sunday bonus drop.👍👍

The level of detail with that camera is stunning. And, of course, your eye for those details to capture.
Beautiful work a wonderful video many thanks
Great to see you with your Mojo back!
Happy Tom time. Love it!
I wouldn't have recognised the beach until I saw Spanish City in the background! Love the last shot, could almost be an aerial shot of a canyon area.
That rock photo was incredible!
Nature is the gift that keeps giving! I would be seriously tempted to shoot all day on that beach.
Great photos Tom! Especially loved the last one of the rock close up 👍
great set of images - really gets me to consider more possible subjects the next time i ever get to go to the beach.
first two shots are amazing
Loved that shot of the rock.
Fantastic images Tom, glad to see you enjoying your new Camera.
Love the rock ...and the video....📸😘🌈
Always fun to use a new lens. Glad to see you having fun with the new gear.

Nice to see you found your mojo for your doorstep again Tom, sill looking for mine. Not many beaches on the banks of the wear at Washington though
Great vid Tom. You seem to be in your stride with lots of energy.
The shot of the rock was incredible Thomas
That last shot Tom, absolutely brilliant 🙂

Good video for me, this is my type of weather. The content will aid me on my next outing.
Good to see a good mood and a good day Thomas. Definitely you made a good choice with Fujifilm, all the best.
Incredible change to that beach, think it’s time to pick up my camera and head off to check out my local beach at Cresswell. Great vid Tom, cheers 👍
