11:20 that's the one. That's the one. The colours, the lone bird in the water, the ratio of negative space, and.... more negative space and the tree and.... Just wonderful. Or to cite a great photographer: "Gorgeous!"
Good Lord man, you are Truly an Artist, I don't photograph Landscapes but man, Landscape Photography really makes you slow down and I can really appreciate that!
Wow…simply. EITHER the AM or the PM would be a hugely successful day’s work. One has to believe that “diligence karma”accumulates through the painful outings and results in these rare eruptions of grace. Keep up the good work!
The birch trees illuminated shot in the water is my favorite, (they are all super photos) as the full reflecting colors in the water is such an added bonus!
I could swear! I did swear, hell let’s swear some more! A glorious video, Wastwater finished me off! Wonderful Tom! And how dare they walk on the shores of Heaton! 😂🤣😂
Dude, you are wired, in a good way. You do not talk a lot, you do not lecture people. I am a hobbyist photographer and I get what you are talking about. Posting your settings on your camera means a lot to me and may be to a lot of people understanding photography. I am a introvert person like you and I never like people in a beautiful landscape. Thanks a lot for your work and please keep on making this awesome videos.
Minimalist, desaturated, painterly photos - check, square crop - check, speaking softly even though no one is near him - check. The only thing needed to make this a true Thomas Heaton video is to do it on a film camera. Seriously though, photos were excellent. Really enjoyed this video.
HAHAH!! We've all been there. You have a perfect shot, but it's ruined by people enjoying themselves. The audacity. LOL. Moments like that, you just have to chuckle at yourself. Lovely images.
Far and away your best video. Photographers live for a day such as this, that has wonderful compositions everywhere you look. It’s one you will remember and refer to often.
Only The Master Creator…Thomas Heaton ..can make 5 minutes of opening film of a man going to bed and waking up in a camper van and brewing up a cuppa, be actually interesting and suspenseful! And as usual, the rest of the video delivers. Love your honest down to earth dialogues accompanying the shooting… even so far as branding us all grumpy - but being so right about it ! Keep the camera rolling Sir Thomas 😁👏
I know how you feel with the people. I often feel the same way. I get in the way of feeling that this is my place to photograph. What are other people doing here? 🤣🤣 It's just not cricket! What magical conditions & fabulous images.
We were staying at the YHA there, in October and walked to the Screes. The building is a discreet pumping station. We met walkers, who had crossed the Screes but itches too precarious for us. It's such a beautiful place to be! Glad you enjoyed it. You're not that grumpy! Keep laughing at yourself Thomas!
What an incredible day for you Thomas, each image had its own special appeal. Given the choice of steak or a bag full of images and a dehydrated meal at the end of the day, then there's only one winner in that decision.
Tom, these images are all incredible. Every time the next one popped up I was like nope that's my favourite from this shoot. Incredible outing and video!
09:43 actually, i love that composition with only the duck and the misty foggy "diffused" background. and i bet you realized it too when you showed it.
You know when Thomas is having a good time because he starts to whisper 😄. Amazing light in these photos! Moments like that a make you wish you could stop time so you can enjoy it all.
Bam! Amazing conditions and a super set of images. Thanks for dragging all this UA-cam riff raff along for the ride. I'm sure you could have bagged even more great images without the overhead of vlogging the day.
A cracking start to the day Tom watching your channel for a few years now I’m not used to you bagging so many keepers. The gallery at the end of the video is working well really like that addition Tom.
I’ve been into photography for about 15 years. Over the last 5 or so years I haven’t been able to have a camera system (couldn’t afford it). Last year a friend got into photography and it fueled the fire to get back into it a little bit more. The week this video came out I decided to put savings in play to get a new camera system. This weekend, I’m going out for a photography trip for the first time in 5 years. Thanks for your art, Tom. Thanks for pushing me in the direction I needed to get back into a creative space.
This is why we trudge through the cold and wet, why we endure the icy hands and the early mornings. This is why we exist. Photography is therapy. You have gained a new sub today. Wonderful shots, and a wonderful video! Thank you for reminding me of why I do this, and why I need to focus on doing UA-cam videos about it.
"Once and a while"? We get mornings and late afternoons like this dozens of times a month sometimes in New England. If the conditions are just right there can be full days of rolling fog, that gives just hints of the lakes and hills and forests. Amazing.
How can people not give you a thumbs up on this video. Photography wise this is your best shoot in a long time. It was like every place you went was better than the last. The light god’s we’re watching out for you.
Once in the wild I got heavy down pour, all wet from my head to the toes, thanks God it was my Pentax weather sealed gear with me I can keep shooting, you well done please show us more, cheer !
I have to confess it’s been a while since I’ve tuned into your videos however it is so nice to see that this session allowed you to take amazing shot after amazing shot. I’ve seen too many of yours where the struggle for one good photo hurts (which is part of the game), but this felt very relieving to me hahaha Very happy for your dedication and still continuing to put out material during the good and bad :)
What a beautiful day! So calm and peaceful - I can completely relate to wanting to be solitary and not have lots of people around. So many wonderful images - the one at 11:29 in that soft morning light is my favourite, followed by your last shot, which really shows the worth in waiting for twilight. Thanks for another thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring video Tom!
11:20 that's the one. That's the one.
The colours, the lone bird in the water, the ratio of negative space, and.... more negative space and the tree and.... Just wonderful.

Next year’s calendar done ☑️
Good Lord man, you are Truly an Artist, I don't photograph Landscapes but man, Landscape Photography really makes you slow down and I can really appreciate that!
I’m not even a landscape photographer, o shoot street, but these videos inspire me to grab my camera and shoot. I don’t even care about what to shoot.
What a great day. You could make a whole calendar with just todays shoot. :)
The tree on the waters edge at about 11 mins 30secs was such a beautiful shot! That's what I aspire too, awesome!!
Came for the Delica. Stayed for the production quality, content and personality. Way better than TV.
The photo of the hut in the distance is one of the most beautiful shots ive seen in a while. amazing !!!!!!!!!!
Wow…simply. EITHER the AM or the PM would be a hugely successful day’s work. One has to believe that “diligence karma”accumulates through the painful outings and results in these rare eruptions of grace. Keep up the good work!
The birch trees and the hut shots - my favourites from this video!
The birch trees illuminated shot in the water is my favorite, (they are all super photos) as the full reflecting colors in the water is such an added bonus!
Thanks. That's one of my favourites too 👍
Definitely the best of this video!
That is one of if not the best videos on Landscape photography I’ve ever seen. Brilliant, just brilliant.
Never mind….the 2 images at the lake…one with a house and one with the birch trees… just trumps everything….stunning, absolutely breathtaking
The handheld, hut and birch trees are just stunning
It's not always true that one makes their own luck, but this is a prime example. What a wonderful batch of images.
I'm with you. Why do these people have to invade my space? The shots of the hut and the trees on the lake are magical.
When the conditions turn on for such Top Draw images we are the luckiest people on the planet to experience them. WONDERFUL WORK . Sublime.
That shot at 11:20 is just perfect, love the composition and color gradient
Except the 1st, all shots are extraordinary. I especially loved the 2nd, 4th, 8th & Last shot.
Soooo good
Tom + fog = magic. glad you’re back out with the gfx, film wouldn’t have done this justice.
I could swear! I did swear, hell let’s swear some more! A glorious video, Wastwater finished me off! Wonderful Tom! And how dare they walk on the shores of Heaton! 😂🤣😂

The golden trees reflecting on the lake in the second site was museum worthy. Ansel.Adams like eye, you've got.
You not take the photo, you make it.
Best line ❤️.
Sorry if I miss something

I love that you're whispering! These are the types of days we look forward to! And yes, I can be that grumpy photographer too!
Loved this one. Envious of this shoot to say the least 🙂
This whole video is just stunning, but I am just crushed that I can't see those landscapes in reality. What a stunning day
Some of your video clips are as enjoyable as the stills, but the reflected orange trees at 19:53 is exceptional. Thanks for sharing your joy.
After watching the recent horror in Scotland this was well deserved. Thanks for pushing us to get out.
Dam, those last three images deserve three thumbs up👍👍👍
Yes. "What a day." You brought tears to my eyes, Young Thomas.
The quality of these videos, your images and your on camera presence: best on UA-cam. Why aren't Netflix calling you up? ❤️
1st: Lucky guy!
2nd: Great pictures!
3rd: Nice video!
15:00: Wow!
So 15:50
HAHAH!! We've all been there. You have a perfect shot, but it's ruined by people enjoying themselves. The audacity. LOL. Moments like that, you just have to chuckle at yourself. Lovely images.
You will never get another perfect day like that again. As we say in scotland fill yar wellies
. Stunning.
Far and away your best video. Photographers live for a day such as this, that has wonderful compositions everywhere you look. It’s one you will remember and refer to often.
this is what we called a perfect day :D

If only every day could be this beautiful
Man, that seemed like one of those mornings that just keeps giving and the grin gets wider. All bangers
You don't get many days like that in a year, you struck gold there.
Thomas Heaton! Home Runs All Day Long!

Desaturated Fantasy/Hidden Paradise😇🔥💯

What magical conditions & fabulous images.
So pleased the Gods decided to smile on you at last.
That duck in the image a 09:54 makes for a wonderful interest in this image. beautiful!
I had no idea what frozen bubbles were. You live and learn. 😃

* autocorrect
Building you photographed was a pumping station. It was too precarious for us to cross the Screes.
this is the video that tells the reason why we all follow Thomas Heaton!

Tom, these images are all incredible. Every time the next one popped up I was like nope that's my favourite from this shoot. Incredible outing and video!
Knocked that one out of the park! Great light + great conditions = great photographs!
09:43 actually, i love that composition with only the duck and the misty foggy "diffused" background. and i bet you realized it too when you showed it.
Yeah I was going to say exactly this - just crop it to that (your 100 MP pic can afford it) and it would be a real keeper.
These great pictures speak for themselfs. Don't worry about the video
You know when Thomas is having a good time because he starts to whisper 😄. Amazing light in these photos! Moments like that a make you wish you could stop time so you can enjoy it all.
What a day, what a day!!
Decent exhaust sound. 😁
I absolutely love such moody scenes.
That duck at your 9:54 picture; brilliant!
The right photographer in the right conditions. Fantastic.
Bam! Amazing conditions and a super set of images. Thanks for dragging all this UA-cam riff raff along for the ride. I'm sure you could have bagged even more great images without the overhead of vlogging the day.
Hi Tom, in my opinion, you are not only a photographer, but also a director.👍
Every.single.picture.in.this.video.is.amazing.!!!!!
If Carlsberg did photography days this would be it !! Delighted for ya mate
One of these days, I'd like to have one of those days. Absolutely stunnin...
The shore line shot of the tree with the gull in the water and the last shot - full marks. Dang those were nice.
A cracking start to the day Tom watching your channel for a few years now I’m not used to you bagging so many keepers. The gallery at the end of the video is working well really like that addition Tom.
That last image was a keeper. I expect to see it in your favorite images off 2022.
You never stop to amaze. You’ve also past half a million subscribers. Congrats to that! 🥂👍🏻🇸🇪🇬🇧
Yes, the birch trees. Number 1!
Wow. What a day. All were amazing images but that birch shot. Just wow.
I’ve been into photography for about 15 years. Over the last 5 or so years I haven’t been able to have a camera system (couldn’t afford it). Man that last image from the first location with the duck is just sublime. Such an incredible mood and atmosphere!
What a day, and what a lovely series of beautiful shots you got. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊
A new hairdo like makes you look more human than scraggly hair I love you videos they're fantastic thank you very much.
What. A. Day. Those are the ones you remember.
Kid in a candy store that morning. Love it when things fall together like that. Great shots.
How can people not give you a thumbs up on this video. Photography wise this is your best shoot in a long time. It was like every place you went was better than the last. The light god’s we’re watching out for you.
I put a cargo net in the back of my van after dropping a pillow onto dirt. Love your photos!
Off the charts. What an amazing day! Spectacular!!
That birch tree shot is outstanding!
I have a reservoir close to home and I felt I was there watching and hearing the geese. Unbelievable images 🙂👍
Are you kidding me with 14:55?! Beyond beyond.
Maybe not one of the longest as you said, but DEFINITELY one of the most beautiful!
That shot of the little house by the lake is simply breathtaking!
Once in the wild I got heavy down pour, all wet from my head to the toes, thanks God it was my Pentax weather sealed gear with me I can keep shooting, you well done please show us more, cheer !
The planets aligned for this shoot!
Looking forward to the 2023 Calendar already. Great Shots.
If, as a previous video suggested, most people only get about 12 bangers in a good year, you only need another three in the next 49 weeks!
I have to confess it’s been a while since I’ve tuned into your videos however it is so nice to see that this session allowed you to take amazing shot after amazing shot. What an incredible morning for landscape photography. Truly inspiring
11:28 that image is sooooooooooo nice !!!
What a day! I can't pick a favourite, they're all stunning.
That must be a record for you! 9 images in one video! Great day!
The light on the birches - wow !
Brilliant light, brilliant photography, brilliant videography! Stunning!!!
What a day indeed, so many great images, it just got better and better, a very productive day.
