I've spent many mornings and evenings along Lake Erie on days like this, so I know the feeling! It's a suck fest sometimes, but days like that do truly allow for some unique images in my opinion! Nice video, always cool to see your take on LSP.
Ah much appreciated, Mike! Very kind of you. Definitely a place that should be savored when conditions are perfect, cause most of the time it’s pretty rough haha. 🍻
I do own your book, and it's one of my favorites that I have. I have a lot of photo books and I keep a handful in a more "accessible" spot because I routinely pull them out. Happy to report that your book made that handful, so I'm always looking at it 🙂 The photography in the book is stunning (I think the small scenes being my favorite, especially the ice - incredible stuff), but accompanying each photo with a small essay is really a great way to work through your photos. Overall, I'm a big fan. I was really excited to find out you were on UA-cam, I enjoy seeing what you see, especially in Zion. I think Ben Horne is still my favorite photographer (I have one of his prints from "wall street" in the narrows on my wall, I look at it daily)... but you're definitely closing the gap! I'm sure it's no small task to create a book, but I'm already looking forward to your next one! Good stuff.
Always appreciate you Ryan, and this is far too kind of you! So glad you enjoy the book, and I’m honored that you keep it in the more ‘accessible’ spot. Grateful for your support and kindness as always, man. 🍻😊
Cool to see you picked up some Pentax 645 glass. For the price and sharpness, they're the best way to work with the GFX system. Not everyone needs the weather-sealing or clinical sharpness that GF glass provides. I've considered picking up the 150-300mm but haven't done so just yet. Still in that constant battle between film and digital, ya know? Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos, in due time.
Much appreciated as always, Cody. And good to hear from you, man! Unfortunately, just sent the Pentax lenses back because had to make the choice I should’ve chose a long time ago, and GFX will be on the way out! You’re the first to hear, but I’m stoked on what’s next… 🍻
Could I ask - which adapter did you use for the Pentax? I’m in a quandary between doing this or switching back to full frame… or Fuji X perhaps. It’s a bit of a heart vs head thing
@@dommckenzie used the Kipon P645 to GFX. Had great tolerance between the GFX and the adapter, but the tolerance between the Pentax lens and the adapter was a touch loosey-goosey. Yeah, I just recently decided to switch to Fuji X, tired of ‘making this work’ with the GFX and Pentax and would rather ‘make the system work for me’.
Just a few days, but an absolute stunner on the GFX! Definitely not up to the level of the Pentax 120 macro, but still a solid choice. Tough with the IBIS on the GFX 100 though…have to have multiple lengths dialed in to switch between and the IBIS struggles a bit at the longer focal lengths. Also, the weird thing about the 150-300 is it appears pin sharp on the back of the camera when focusing, but is a little muddy when playing back the image. Not sure what’s up with that haha. 🍻
@@andrewbaruffi Interesting. Still very early days for me as well. So far I just keep the IBIS tuned to 200mm and it seems to be working out OK (on the GFX 50S II). Thanks for the reply.

Nice walk about 👍
Much appreciated, David! 🍻

You have the same lenses that I've adapted to GFX. Hong long have you had the 150-300 and what are your impressions?
