    coaches that actually take the time to teach you instead of yelling at you and throwing you in the ring. you have to learn to crawl before you can walk. these are good coaches

    • @leelafarlett3535
      @leelafarlett3535 6 років тому +18

      That's very true. I had a football coach that yelled, and one that would stop every now and then and show you how. Then, in a calm voice with direct eye contact say something like, you're trying too hard, slow down, you can do this. Then he would resume yelling.I learned a lot from that coach.

    Why are people saying this coach is strict. It's not like he is yelling at him vigorously. Grow up children. Great advice. You gotta start with basics first and don't try copy shit on TV. I did that on my first day aswell. My hands was a bit low, I threw hooks and uppercuts without even knowing the technique.

  • @ChillzYouTube
    @ChillzYouTube 7 років тому +69

    The kids saying the coach is harsh have never been in a boxing ring before. I had a coach swearing at the top of his lungs to a 6 year old because he didn't keep his hands up. And that's not even that bad lol.

    I remember my first day in the gym over 10 years ago. I was just a little kid. Coach said to me you a natural have you boxed before? I said nah I have two older brothers and I been watching them on the speed bag we have at home since young lol. I am 21 now and my passion and love for the art of boxing is still stronger than ever. In fact every day that goes by I love it more. My first ever spar was with a pro called Nicky. Older guy letting me just touch him up a little. He used to let me punch him in the nose and say hit me hit me lol when I was a little boy. I heard he died recently tho, rest in paradise.

    Boxing is amazing, but the coach is right, gotta listen and take it slow, don't take it to fast, I did that my first day of training. I was told I can hit hard as well, but i needed to become faster. Takes a lot of time and training, not gonna learn all the boxing skills all in one day.

    I currently train at outlaws with Brandon. I have trained at many boxing gyms in LA from wild card to fortune gym to hollywood boxing gym to ten goose and the list goes on. Outlaws is by far the most hands on boxing gym you can touch. You will be punching someone and getting punched within days. Brandon is a great coach and the fees are very reasonable. IM NOT PROMOTING, just pleased with the gym.
