If anything I would characterize Di'anno more as a punk frontman rather than metal...for what it's worth, it added a vagabond/rebel dimension to early Maiden. But then again I love and admire all stages of Maiden - it's a band with a long history 😊

I had a couple maiden albums before getting the 2 early ones and I was in utter shock, like this at bruce and I really fell in love with the 1st album and I agree with others that you can't compare these 2 singers, it's like completely different bands. Up the irons!
A true 80s metal band back then, this song has a great hardcore element to it, goddamn, I wish I appreciated the DiAnno IM more back then, I was a 16 year old schmuck to inspired by Halford vocals. RIP Clive Burr
You can't compare Paul and Bruce... they are totally different. Both are great and Paul fitted perfectly into the first two albums. With Bruce they took the next step of writing and performing great music. Maiden is great in every incarnation.
Wow i've never seen this part of the consert before.. it Kicks Fucking ASS !!!!! Maiden will always bee my favourite band ! LOVE THEM !! I've even started a band, we play maiden covers mostly ! Up The Irons !
I've honestly lost count how many times I've played Maiden's first two albums in full. I can count how many times I've listened to Number of the Beast on one hand though
Ray L fuck yeah, I had the opportunity back then, was 15/16 years old, Just too stupid to see the greatness of DiAnno’s style, and the hardcore element he gave the band, that was ahead if its time. Then they take the typical “Opera” style vocals, and ditch Clive, because he was too fast.
Fuck! Even right at the start (well this is of course a few years after the start, but you get what I mean) they were world class. Imagine seeing them at this concert! Thank God for youtube that we can watch this!
paul di anno was (is) just an amazing singer , i feel sorry that after dickinson left the band he didnt get the chnace to return and they picked up blaze
I don't think I've ever heard Bruce sing this. Great performance by Clive. I was a bigger fan of Clive than Nicko because Number of The Beast was the first Iron Maiden album I owned and Hallowed Be Thy Name was the first song that I could drum along to all of it.
Clive Burr was an incredible drummer. He is sadly missed.
RIP Clive...up the irons mate!
"Paul Di Anno on lead vocalsWHOOOOAAAAAAAPPPP!" lol
The punk vibes are strong with this one! damn i love the early maiden stuff
This is raw but I wouldn't say punk, I can hear UFO and Motorhead vibes but not Sex Pistols or Ramones.
I definitely hear Dead Boys and The Stooges in there. Definitely Punk.
If anything I would characterize Di'anno more as a punk frontman rather than metal...for what it's worth, it added a vagabond/rebel dimension to early Maiden.
But then again I love and admire all stages of Maiden - it's a band with a long history 😊

reminds me of gang green
I love Paul's vocals.
This is the bloody best intro solo Murray EVER made!
Clive did it too
I absolutely love Di'Anno's vocals on this. And everyone else, of course, because it's Iron Maiden.
I love Paul di anno, this is how true metal should sound, this is mt fav. songs of all times
This, in my opinion, is one of the best tracks on 'Killers, which I think is a very underrated album.
Underrated? I always thought its their best album.
I gotta agree, one of the best tracks from a truly great album
Clive ... OMG... imppresive technics...and speed... enjoy hearing him drumming!
Another Life one of my favorite songs from Killers, so raw, brutal the intro, drums and then guitar - I love it!
RIP CLIVE
There's no music like 70,so 80s

I love this punky era of Maiden with good ol Paul. Damn how i wish i was at one of those gigs.
I had a couple maiden albums before getting the 2 early ones and I was in utter shock, like this at bruce and I really fell in love with the 1st album and I agree with others that you can't compare these 2 singers, it's like completely different bands.

Up The Irons !
Mr. Clive Burr on drums. The only one playing this song.
3:17 - 4:52 just awesome!!!
Great video! It's hard to imagine they were a small band already and played in venues like that.
I've honestly lost count how many times I've played Maiden's first two albums in full. I can count how many times I've listened to Number of the Beast on one hand though
Come on, number of the beast ain't bad.
This is class!
Steve and those bass lines. Awesome!
I agree, much prefer their raw unpolished sound, i wish i could turn back time.
*IMPRESIONANTE*
Paul-at his total peak here! Maiden forever🤘🤘
Listen to that SOUND! MAN! Awesome...
Preciousness! Before they recorded. Thanks for posting.

MUY BUEN VIDEO
D'ianno was a great punk singer... fits perfect with the first 2 maiden albums, after that maiden just went in another direction more metal.
I don't think I've ever heard Bruce sing this. Great performance by Clive. I was a bigger fan of Clive than Nicko because Number of The Beast was the first Iron Maiden album I owned and Hallowed Be Thy Name was the first song that I could drum along to all of it.
Bruce wouldn't be able to match the pure aggression of Paul's vocal delivery on this track.
It'd be a totally different animal with Bruces vocal.
Bruce sings it on live at Hammersmith odeon 1982 beast tour.
Number of the beast was also my first vinyl of theirs. Though The Phantom of the Opera was my first song on bass.
Classic!!! The best lineup 👌!
its rock n roll in my opinion
Wut88 But i like It. so? It was Not a problem . heavy metal was a definitiva of a rock culture
definition
Nice raw sound
It was Paul, he even laughed at it. :D
steve harris is a beast on the bass
Iron Maiden did sound punk with Paul Di'anno but l still like the early maiden way better
Up The Irons!!
Di'anno es único....
Aww, they're having so much fun... I mean, nowadays, if you'd burp to your audience, you'd be publicly hung, but this is just awesome. :D
this bootleg has really good quailty
"wish i was there"
Fuckin' GREAT!! \m/
