It's like you said, "It's a balancing act" and every new thing is. I feel at home with these videos, just as you do with cycling and talking pictures. That's the key to keeping the child in you, young. We as viewers feel that and we love you for that. Thank you!
Last year was the first time I’ve been to NYC. Ever since I’ve started to watch your videos back in the daily vlog days, it was my dream to travel from Germany to NYC to experience what you experience on the daily basis. NYC was exactly how I imagined it to be and these videos make me feel like I’m there with you. And I wanna thank you for that. You have such a unique perspective and the way you capture moments. I’m gonna tell my friends, my family and my neighborhood that you’re still out here- making movies. Keep it up brother.
Love the forced perspective shots and the overall layout of this video. The blending of video and photos were seamless, all the while, following a cohesive narrative. Genuinely, great work! It's films like this that motivate me, as I am aspiring to work in the film industry.
Only have been following for a short amount of time. But every video you post has been like a fresh sense of motivation nd inspiration for me, including this one. Keep it up
I felt like I was on the walk with you and was privileged to experience artifacts I’ll never get to see for myself. I admire your storytelling, insight, and vulnerability. Anxious to see your “bigger” projects. Consider taking us on quick walks down those streets as well. Adore my copy of Out of The West. Your work has meaning; stay encouraged!
I love your shooting style I wish I had somebody to mentor and teach me things like this man I'm always so inspired everytime I get a chance to catch one of your videos! It feels vintage but I love how your able to capture that vintage feel in the modern day! Please keep going man ive been subbed to you for years and it been so cool to see your work!
not going to lie, I also miss the vlogs like everyone else. But I will say. Your photo's have been getting more and more impressive Augie. A lot of these images are really wonderful. I feel like you are adapting well to your current style of content you are putting out. These videos keep getting better and better each time.
I like this for some fluff content it’s chill stuff that I don’t mind sparking a J to, yet it still conveys the same tone of your deeper bodies of work. Real.
Loved this man! This was really well filmed/composed for someone’s first time filming. It’s really cool to see your street process and how you interact with your subjects out there. It’s nice to see someone talk to people and not just be a sneak the whole time. I also enjoy how you use the sounds of the city as a soundtrack. I’m soooo confused by the father who set up breakdancing at Wash Sq Park and didn’t want to be photographed. Must’ve been a hell of a day fighting with the 100 photographers that walk through the park daily 😂 I’ve already seen photos of them on IG like 3x.
Honestly really really enjoyed this. I thought the videography matches the feel of the photography perfect. Good editing. Great vibes. Big fan. Would watch a lot more of these.
Very cool video. Since you asked for feedback...I would like to see more videos in color. And more comments from Austin as he's walking along the street. The latter would help to add more story and character to the video. The confrontation with the man and his dancing son was interesting and it would have been great to hear Austin talk about this more. A review of the drink at the end of the video would have been interesting too. I think most people watch this channel for Austin...not his photographs, his videos, or New York. It's a subtle but important difference.
Same those vlogs were a vibe, but seen this artistic professional side of Augie, and I’m loving these videos. I finally came back after a good 3 years gone, was hoping to peruse the vlogs
there is a really good podcast about the bull... or about the artist who made the bull that is worth checking out. It still doesnt really explain why people wait in line to touch the balls tho but if you ever get hired to make a public artwork maybe consider making it it have huge balls.
You handled that father really impressively. Stood firm while also trying to de-escalate his energy. Also dug how the video started with you sitting around NY vibes and ended with you sitting around NY vibes
Is Lewis ment to be filming in your style or in his own and you editing it? Maybe have him document you in his style and see what that’s like on the channel 🤔
Doesn't seen forced, this is the closest thing to his og vlog videos, just exploring the concret jungle of NYC and sharing experiences he comes across. This is the og fans fav things to watch. I miss the old vlogs from like 7 years ago.
Such a washed out idea by having your videos black and white. You're doing it to try recapture some nostalgia from old times I presume, as a "stylistic choice", but things back then were filmed to represent the now (the past to us, the present to them) so by doing it, you're just being inauthentic. Stop worrying about superficial things like how much colour is in a frame and focus on actual subject matter. You just seem lost, as if you've never done content a day in your life which is a big leap from you from 2018(?) with daily vlogs and crazy motivation. Usually you can see some sort of progression to where people are today but yours seems like you're just a version of you from a completely different timeline that didn't do some of the sickest videos ever a few years ago. Weird disconnect.
Glad you’re still pushing Augie. Been following for years
This format is very easy to watch, love the honesty of what you do and will never stop watching
super raw, very nice format. has a nice natural flow like everything u do
That guy smoking the cigarette out of the basement trap door thing is the most NYC thing ever.
It's like you said, "It's a balancing act" and every new thing is. I feel at home with these videos, just as you do with cycling and talking pictures. That's the key to keeping the child in you, young. We as viewers feel that and we love you for that. Thank you!
This format is refreshing really, keep it up

Same story for me

I love your cinematic eye, Augie you have a beatiful way of seeing the world ❤
Whenever I need inspiration I always watch this guy. He never stops 🤝🏽
Love this format! I'd love to see more. Your street photography is very refreshing and, above all, inspiring. Thank you for that!

dope format. seeing your work this way inspires me to actually get started putting the hours into my own craft.
Love that video. Even if it doesn’t take that much time than your others films it’s not less enjoyable
Loving the videos been here for so long but I am missing the vlogs man so much anyway or anywhere I can watch !!! But keep grinding AUSTIN

Sooooo how about that student discount for OUT OF THE WEST
Will you sign the book if I buy one ? I still wear the ethic jacket you were a part of
God damnit augie, I love you

What cameras were used in the pictures and video ?
I actually like this better without all the added words & thoughts & subtitles
Love the video, what camera did you use?
Gh5
That was fucken awesome too watch
Missed you bud
Augie, when are you going to start making short films?
You handled that father really impressively. Stood firm while also trying to de-escalate his energy. Also dug how the video started with you sitting around NY vibes and ended with you sitting around NY vibes
What camera is that
i pray to know what film he shoots with
Tri-x
Was talking to my coworker today about Lexington and egg creams. What are the odds 🤔
That father was just pushing for the cheddar 😂
hate that NY attitude, this is what the rat race at extreme speed does to people.
Lookin healthy son, go get'm tiger!
'why do we linger in queues, tethered by necessities illusion' ???

Is Lewis ment to be filming in your style or in his own and you editing it? Maybe have him document you in his style and see what that’s like on the channel 🤔
Dude. Just got back to the 2018/2019 fun vids. Enough already with this. People want to be entrained not bored to death.
Unfortunately the dude is right, can't be taking pictures of peoples kids if they don't want you to
Always a jeffe' around, bad apple
puerto rican guy hurting his kids carreer not helping it lol
Seems forced, do it for you and your passion. Dont do it because someone is recording you do it.
Doesn't seen forced, this is the closest thing to his og vlog videos, just exploring the concret jungle of NYC and sharing experiences he comes across. This is the og fans fav things to watch. I miss the old vlogs from like 7 years ago.
Ordered your book “out of the west”, worth buying 🫶🏻
