evisoirs get a bad rap. They can go to extreme lengths to get in the right place to pull off their assassination. It is just on their execution they are very loud. Ie: Corporal Burns who has worked his way up the command staff to finally become the generals aid for a decade, goes into the bathroom to pee, and the love child of Bane and John Wick steps out and just violently un-alives everyone trapped in the command bunker with him.
I Like how Leigenstrasse is basically a more successful attempt at making Spear… Although it took basically 4 assassins to finally kill spear, she needed a planetary war, whole space marine deployment, and chaos fleet to take down…
my personal head canon for the Adamus is that they are like the 40k version of the OG ninja. while ninja did assassinate, they more often were used for scouting, espionage, sabotage, and sewing chaos through the enemy ranks by subterfuge. and that's what i think the Adamus is for, and only assassinate when they feel its the right time or necessary. this would explain why they supposedly predate the other temples, because they are the surviving schools of ninjutsu. and as for the blades, they aren't full on power swords because a power sword is big and flashy, not something a ninja wants, but they are designed to pulse out the field that allows the power swords to cut anything just before the moment of impact and then turn off again. this would allow the sword to be smaller than other power weapons.

Quick comment before watching; if/when you make a video on the Imperial navy, please don't forget to explain how the warp engines work. I'm very confused just how a man-made machine can enter a realm of souls, and by extension why the necrons can't.
pretty much in the comment you posted, in very layman terms humans have souls to enter a realm of soul magic essentially, necrons have no souls after selling them to be eaten by the c'tan. Humanity also use psykers to tap into the warp exposing their soul to mostly evil entities and by extension "Navigators" do the same for space travel, necrons with no souls cannot tap into that realm at will like humanity with latent psychic abilities, im sure there are plenty of videos maybe even wes already has one on navigators, the man made vessel is simply a machine its the navigators that allow space travel through the warp
hell yes you saw my message on the crazy hybrid assassin from that youtube short i saw she is crazy, the hybrid tyrranid assassin is awesome, the mayoris assassin is awesome and thank you for covering her iam new to warhammer and been a fan for awhile and really getting into this stuff.😎
My head canon after watching this video: The Adamus Temple are psychological warfare specialists who've convinced everyone in and out of the universe that they're just generalized assassins of a minor order, of no consequence, with weaponry so advanced yet unassuming that they totally aren't maintained by the Jokaero or equally ancient and secretive Mechanicus Ordos. So ancient, in fact, that they totally had no hand in developing the other Assassin Ordos, Inquisition, or entertaining Alpharius, Malcador, or Tzeetch. Yes, just as planned.
Your description of the Vindicare’s preferred prey suddenly made me imagine an Execution Force entering the Star Wars universe. 😅 “THE FIRST. GALACTIC. EMPIRE!!” *_BLAM_* Vin, removes spent cartridge: “Here’s to a safe and secure society. Have the traitors been identified?” Cal, posing as a techie on the Senate Floor: “All supporters have been positively ID’d, and their faces are being uploaded now.” _Smirk_ “So this is how threats to liberty die. With their own thunderous applause.” Van: “Profiles secured. Forwarding to the drop pod now. All exits are now being sealed, and alarm signals have been suppressed. Happy hunting, Eversor.” Cul: _Pout_ “I still think I could’ve handled the Chancellor alone, rather than being a glorified null beacon….” (I couldn’t think of roles for anyone else.)
Lol, the idea of an Inquisitor trying to give a psych eval to an Eversor makes me giggle: "Inquisitor's note: Subject keeps growling meat at me, I cannot discern if it's hungry, referring to me, or both. Suggest further evals be terminated due to high risk to colleagues."
Someday, I hold out hope that someday we might see my 2nd favourite kleptos, the bloody magpi- I mean, the blood ravens get their day under the weshammer spotlight.
Can I read nemesis as a stand alone book? Technically it’d be my first, I have a bunch of lore knowledge and have watched/listened to hundreds of hours of lore and stories, yet the endless chapter specifics are pedantic and uninteresting to me. But this or the harlequins definitely inspire my focus and interest..
Blanks are ignored by daemons in the warp and give them a bad day at worst. Its why blanks can be used to safeguard the travel of important ships but generally assassination missions into the warp itself are rare or dont make much sense because daemons cant be permanently slain outside of hella powerful entities like the emperor doing it
The Vanus Assassins are interesting, i always wondered why wasn't there an assassin that was a cyborg in a similar way to the mechanicus (and given that, why wasn't there an assassin for them as they are semi independent) I feel that the Vanus could work that way.
I'm currently playing chaos gate daemonhunters and i must say the officio assassinorum dlc is really good if anyone is looking for their representation in medias
Hey Wes, love your vids. You have become my go to lore channel. Do you have any plans to do a deep dive on the Dark Angels. Would love a video explaining the different wings and the hunt for the Fallen.
If you're looking for strange orders and bits of lore to dig into - the Harlequins and their god Cegorach are a fascinating and really weird little faction
GW doing more with Vanus to their fullest would require them to do more with admec, dark mec, iron hands and the leagues, and we know how they love doing that
How about about video on the Solar Auxilia? those guys are so badass they made the Word Bearers figuratively and literally piss themselves during the battle of Calth.
I'm kind of thinking Adamus may have not been a Temple like the others, but Assassins Malcador used in "secret", and they were then made into a temple when the other 6 were created. They may have never been even included in Officio Assassinurom as they worked for Malcador directly prior to the organizations creation, and maybe it ended after Malcador's death.
I Never played the table top games, but I been playing the video games. I am a fan of the lore and universe. After watching Vox in the Void’s video on the rampage of an Eversor Assassin, this is just the lore video I needed to understand the brutality that are the different assassins in Warhammer 40K.
The only bad things about Wes' videos is they are too interesting to just listen to in the background. I always have to save them for when i can pay full attention lol

Wes: I say all this because I'm not gonna' go into the plot of that book here, because that would add a whole extra hour to this deep dive Me: it'd be a lot cooler if you did Great fucking video, as usual, my friend. Thank you for the content.
One of the most fun things about 40k is how it throws around grandious and over-the-top descriptors all the time. But it makes comparing stuff difficult. So my question: How immune exactly are the Venenum assassins? Could they tank a plague grenade/walk away from a fight against plague marines (immunologically) unfazed?
I'm only a W30-W40K novel and books reader. Call me a heretic, but in some ways I do prefer the Assassinorum, Inquisitors, Sisters of Silence, Battle Sisters, the Custodes and the Primarchs over all the rank and file Space Marine legions and chapters.
Don't think the necrons are dum enof to meesing around in the warp elder dodged that issue along time ago
Psyker Batteries, my friend.
Guardsman: We're getting reinforcements!
# Eversor assassin runs through the breach in the wall
Guardsman: Lays down and accepts his fate
Another great video Wes! Can you cover the different Imperial Knight families and their alignments?
Never clicked on a video faster, i love researching the eversor assassin's, hoping to learn more about them 😊
You are hands down my favorite UA-camr, I love the long videos over lore your voice is easy to fall asleep too. Simply brilliant thanks Wes!
5:13 I volunteer for practice
Yes keeper of secrets this one right here
Just came home from a driving lesson and wes has a new video up, time to relax to the grim darkness of the far futur
Nice to know that my local government is at least held on account.
Wish mine was
@@mattyorshin you and me both my friend, this is what fiction is for.
hell yes you saw my message on the crazy hybrid assassin from that youtube short i saw she is crazy, the hybrid tyrranid assassin is awesome, the mayoris assassin is awesome and thank you for covering her iam new to warhammer and been a fan for awhile and really getting into this stuff.😎
59:56 Daywalker has survived into the far future. Glad to see it.
I was expecting you to mention eldar reaction to culexus, i find it hilarious
Your description of the Vindicare’s preferred prey suddenly made me imagine an Execution Force entering the Star Wars universe. 😅
“THE FIRST. GALACTIC. EMPIRE!!” *_BLAM_*
Vin, removes spent cartridge: “Here’s to a safe and secure society. Have the traitors been identified?”
Cal, posing as a techie on the Senate Floor: “All supporters have been positively ID’d, and their faces are being uploaded now.” _Smirk_ “So this is how threats to liberty die. With their own thunderous applause.”
Van: “Profiles secured. Forwarding to the drop pod now. All exits are now being sealed, and alarm signals have been suppressed. Happy hunting, Eversor.”
Cul: _Pout_ “I still think I could’ve handled the Chancellor alone, rather than being a glorified null beacon….”
(I couldn’t think of roles for anyone else.)
Kids are at school, wife is at work, I have two hours of freedom. AND a video to keep me company? Frack yeah!
Lol, the idea of an Inquisitor trying to give a psych eval to an Eversor makes me giggle:
"Inquisitor's note: Subject keeps growling meat at me, I cannot discern if it's hungry, referring to me, or both. Suggest further evals be terminated due to high risk to colleagues."
Someday, I hold out hope that someday we might see my 2nd favourite kleptos, the bloody magpi- I mean, the blood ravens get their day under the weshammer spotlight.
For what it's worth, Adeptus Ridiculous just did Blood Ravens a couple weeks ago.
Doesn't that make it the exact perfect time for every 40ktuber to cover them? Each one stealing the content from the one before 😂
37:30 Turn on captions for 5 seconds and witness the storms of warporn fire. Lmao
Which temple trains its members to sneak past secret service carrying a ladder, a range finder and a carbine?
What would happen if a Culexus assassin was let loose into the warp?
Gives a few demons a bad day/eternity and then dies. Need an Emperor level blank to really mess with the warp.
Blanks are ignored by daemons in the warp and give them a bad day at worst. Its why blanks can be used to safeguard the travel of important ships but generally assassination missions into the warp itself are rare or dont make much sense because daemons cant be permanently slain outside of hella powerful entities like the emperor doing it
eversor temple:
did someone order a package from cawl?
oh yes these are the world eaters and nightlords vials
.... please let me leave first
You got me at "Officio Assassinorum".
Your video quality keeps going up, such a shame 40k content isn’t getting many views atm, you deserve more
The Vanus Assassins are interesting, i always wondered why wasn't there an assassin that was a cyborg in a similar way to the mechanicus (and given that, why wasn't there an assassin for them as they are semi independent) I feel that the Vanus could work that way.
I'm currently playing chaos gate daemonhunters and i must say the officio assassinorum dlc is really good if anyone is looking for their representation in medias
The Eversor assassin is just a special kind of stealth and not being seen there kind is “nobody can see you if they’re all dead”
The Culexus assassin was just casually going to your base, drinks coffee then leaves and the mission is a success....
In other words, we needed an Imperium Assassin game yesterday.
Are we ever gonna hear Wes cover the Castigator-class autonomous bipedal weapons platform? Aka the Father of Titans?
Quite a fair amount of "seductive" assassin art there eh? 🤣
It's really odd that I was just talking about assassins with a buddy like 5 minutes ago.....
It finally makes sense. Roberta from Black Lagoon is simply the first ever Eversor
The assassins are like modern day government when they let their alphabet squads obtain to much power
Please shut up child
Ehh, I think the inquisition fits most. Reading about the KGB and Stasi or to a lesser extent, the FBI and CIA in the 50s and 60s.
I'm kind of thinking Adamus may have not been a Temple like the others, but Assassins Malcador used in "secret", and they were then made into a temple when the other 6 were created. They may have never been even included in Officio Assassinurom as they worked for Malcador directly prior to the organizations creation, and maybe it ended after Malcador's death.
gotta say,THANK YOU for this vid! didnt think you would get to it this quickly! ;)
I Never played the table top games, but I been playing the video games. I am a fan of the lore and universe. I think it amazing how long the universe and story has been alive, and before, and present of 40K timeline. Thank you for all your hard work, so somebody like me. Can learn more about the universe.
One of the best WesHammer materials. Not being very verse with assassins I learned a lot today.
51:55 this artwork got me feeling out of control someone gonna have to send a eversor to stop me from acting up
I'd like to hear your take about the non-officio assasins, like the Deathcult Assassins, the Maletech-Butchers of the phenonites, and so on.
This vid was pretty rad!
Wes: I say all this because I'm not gonna' go into the plot of that book here, because that would add a whole extra hour to this deep dive
Me: it'd be a lot cooler if you did
Great fucking video, as usual, my friend. Thank you for the content.
Request for a new video: GW/Black Library asks you for a plot outline for Warhammer 50K... What's the new status quo in the 51st Millennium?
Just saying, you make my afternoon really worthwhile, I can just turn your video on and start painting on my necrons and have a blast!
Great vid Wes, hoping for future deep dive on Drach'yen or some insight on the DAoT
Perfect to listen to while I fall to sleep.
Oh and also the human perpetuals. :P
THANKS FOR THIS WES...And HELL YES, we desperately need a novel/series about the Wars of Vindication!!!! Come on Black Library!
Eversors are the Ultra Marines 🫐 of the Assassinorum
- the burocrazy blue togas
Negotiating my bill for me!? Okay? types in my alcohol bill.....hey why did my bank balance go down?
They'll get along really well with the Raven Guard, Night Lords & Alpha Legion
