    what do you mean that gold nuggets are not conductive?, Au is metal and one of the best conductors that's why they're widely used in electronics, could you expand a little bit on what you meant please?

    New to metal detecting. Is there a water proof detector that doesn't exhibit that rather constant annoying mosquito noise but still gives you indicators when you are over/close to a target? Thanks in advance.

      I also use a Minelab explorer and equinox sometimes...responds only to targets.

    do you mean inductive or conductive? 0:35 gold is a good conductor.
    should also be clear there is always a cost to automatic ground balancing vs. dig time.
    the unlimited composition of mixed targets and ground noise is only processed as good as its hardware or software. (like hot ground with a gold target) VLF type detectors have a much better ability to process a signal ie. whites v3i. than older PI. but newer detectors are incorporating all these DIGITAL system with smarter software and hardware, something older analog system did with difficulty.

    • @GoldfindersAu
      @GoldfindersAu  6 років тому

      True and sometimes they can balance out a signal....inductive probably a better description for 24ct gold, but silver is better....

    Can I get some recommendations on cheap second-hand metal detectors for the saltwater Beach I'm kind of broke I got a Garrett 300 I've been using in the dry sand but it's useless in wet sand so I'll mostly Limited to finding junk and coins found a Tungsten Carbide ring last year I see a lot of companies advertising that there detectors can handle salt beaches but when I see the reviews all of them well are mostly useless besides the pulse induction models it really aggravates me when people are selling something that's supposed to be able to do a certain thing and it can't do it especially people that made by into that and not looked on UA-cam the watch reviews on the product I'm looking for a cheap second-hand detector that can handle saltwater beaches that I could find on Craigslist or a yard sale or something like that I have a small list of detectors need to add some more to my search

      @GoldfindersAu  5 років тому

      The Minelab equinox does well in salt sand. Getting one second hand might be hard however. Penetrating salt or mineralized ground is a huge problem for manufacturers to overcome. Try e bay.

    Good video.I am new to this metal detector biz..I found a metal detector with no coil on it .brand name is unknown but it looks like a pulsed unit..It has four wires going to the coil so i assume its separate Rx and tx.. I wound a coil 120 turns of mag wire from a microwave fan motor,,anyone know what or how to build the coils ?also the detector is run by 2 9 volt batteries and has 2 knobs ,,,one for power and volume and discrim...any help would be greatly appreciated//

    • @GoldfindersAu
      @GoldfindersAu  5 років тому

      Manufactures make the coils to suit the circuit, and any changes will either not work well or burn the circuit out. but the best way to learn is by mistake -and research. they are a very complex instrument. you are on the right track however..

    We tested Equinox and this detector proved itself that can NOT GB well on heavy mineralized soil. Squealing chirping buzzing all the time. You should pay more attention to Deus. Easily this detector can overpower most of the detectors. Ofcourse it depends in which hands it is. Like in mine! But if you think that you will take it and use it just like that on some factory presets, it will not work. Very soon you will throw it away as an useless machine. There are non of the 10's useful standard programs. You should learn to customized it and use it on maximum of its potential. Squeeze everything from it. I wont forget how I tested it against GPX 4500 on high mineralization ground 86 on Deus scale. It was a 28 mm coin in 40 cm depth. GP wasn't hearing it and I told to owner - comon do something ... increase gain, sensitivity or whatever. He said - if I increase it more I wont be able to hear anything. I respond - See, I can even boost Deus further! As I said - depends in which hand detector it is. Also it is gosh damn hell all the day the hear this brumming constant sound from PI detector. So, first learn detector options and capabilities well, then make a good testing range. Or you will be misguided all the time. GLHF

      Some Detectors will work in certain grounds better than others but the good detectors work well in all grounds . I fully agree with you. The ultimate test is mineralised ground because some areas are highly variable and only a computer can adjust the ground balance that quick and that is a simple explanation. I have never tried Deus, i will check one out when i can,- Thanks Alex.

      @@goldfinderspragmaticvideos. You welcome. When get Deus, call me I will assist you with what I can. I'm with it for 3 years, two times per week, 8-10 hours per day for hunting. If you really going, take the largest black 13" coil. No point of smaller ones. For gold hunting whites are better coz of higher frequencies. And btw thank you for sharing your tests.
