Just found your channel and your supportive, encouraging and hopeful message. I began moving from rigid religion to transformative spirituality about four decades ago, but I have never heard as you so wonderfully shared about Spirit always being in our examination room. I am adding that to my repertoire.. Yes, Be still and know that I Am God! Thank you so very much, peace and richest blessings to you. 🙏💜
I’m going to share your site with my 73 year old friend who is a homebody, goes no where except to get the mail once a week. Not active, no family, tv is her life. 😞🙏
I have often wondered if *BEING STILL* is the same as doing nothing. I don't think so. There can be a time of prayer, introspection, and bible study. But as the Zen saying goes . . . when that (enlightenment) is accomplished we must yet chop wood and carry water for our daily needs. The scripture also says *IF ANY WILL NOT WORK NEITHER SHOULD HE EAT.* Of course we can hope for and ask for a change of attitude or a change of heart. But scripture also says *IN THE WORLD YE SHALL HAVE TROUBLES.* So be of good cheer. I challenge you. That's quite a challenge. I often fail and curse my neighbors.
Thank you for your introspection and comment. I agree with you; being still is not doing nothing. Even as we are on the path of enlightenment, we are still living in this world where we have responsibilities. Part of our responsibility is to notice grievances we are holding against our neighbors so we can look beyond their behavior and see the face of Christ in them and forgive them. That is how we save them and ourselves. It is simple, but not easy. All the best to you!
